This qualitative study investigates the role of digital literacy in developing the competencies of prospective elementary school (SD) teachers in Indonesia. Literature studies show that teacher competencies, encompassing pedagogical, personality, social, and professional aspects, are crucial and influenced by various factors, including digital literacy. The digital literacy gap among SD teachers is attributed to a lack of technology-integrated training, infrastructure disparities, insufficient motivation and support, lack of self-confidence, and low awareness of the importance of digital literacy. This research highlights the importance of enhancing the digital literacy of prospective SD teachers to support their competencies. Proposed strategies include integrating digital literacy into the curriculum, practice-based training, enhancing lecturer competencies, developing a campus digital ecosystem, collaborating with industry, and implementing digital-based evaluations. In conclusion, improving the digital literacy of prospective SD teachers is a crucial step in enhancing the quality of education in Indonesia.

Improving the quality of education in higher education is highly dependent on the performance of lecturers, which includes teaching ability, contribution in research, community service, and other academic and non-academic activities. This study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System for measuring lecturer performance using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method at Universitas Teknologi Akba Makassar (UNITAMA). The ANP method was chosen because of its ability to handle relationships between interdependent criteria. The study used a quantitative approach with descriptive and explanatory research types. Data were collected through document studies and interviews with related parties at UNITAMA. The results of system testing using the black box method showed that the system ran well as expected. This system is able to provide a comprehensive picture of lecturer performance and support more objective decision making. This study also opens up opportunities for further development, such as integration with other academic systems and feature enhancements based on institutional needs.

This study aims to present a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of Intellectual Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) in an academic context, particularly focusing on the role of lecturers. Using bibliometric methods. The data for this study came from 300 English-language scientific articles published in 2023 from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The analysis was carried out using keyword co-occurrence techniques, overlay visualization, density visualization, and author collaboration networks. The findings show that there is a strong focus on developing conceptual frameworks and reviewing literature related to IQ, EQ, and SQ, indicating an effort to understand the integration of these three intelligences as the foundation for human resource development in higher education. However, several keywords were also found to be thematically irrelevant, suggesting challenges in data filtering or uniqueness of terminology between disciplines. Collaborative networks between authors tend to be fragmented, indicating the potential for fostering broader collaboration. The implications of this study theoretically reinforce the need for the integration of IQ, EQ, and SQ in understanding holistic intelligence, while practically encouraging higher education institutions to design lecturer development programs that balance these three aspects of intelligence to form superior character and performance

This study is motivated by the importance of fulfilling the basic rights of honorary teachers as part of efforts to improve the quality of national education. Honorary teachers in private schools, particularly at SD Kasatriyan Surakarta, often face challenges related to welfare and legal protection that are not yet optimal. The study aims to analyze the conformity of the fulfillment of basic rights of honorary teachers at SD Kasatriyan Surakarta with the provisions of Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. The research employs normative juridical and empirical juridical methods, with secondary data obtained from literature review and primary data collected through interviews and direct observations at the research site. The findings indicate that most honorary teachers receive salaries far below the Surakarta City Minimum Wage and lack social welfare guarantees, such as health insurance or accident protection. Furthermore, access to training, competency development, as well as recognition and promotion, remains very limited. These findings highlight a gap between legal norms and field practices, necessitating more serious policy interventions from the government and foundations to ensure the rights of honorary teachers are fully met and to enhance the overall quality of education.

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM)) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy but still struggle with inconsistent product quality, weak managerial systems and limited competitiveness. This community‑engagement project aimed to strengthen MSME capabilities through ISO 9001:2015‑based quality management mentoring. An interactive webinar titled “Realising Excellent MSMEs through ISO 9001‑Based Assistance” was delivered by a multidisciplinary team of lecturers acting as trainers and facilitators. Training sessions combined conceptual lectures, implementation case studies and discussions on drafting SOPs, conducting internal audits and applying risk‑based thinking. Participants received a comprehensive package covering the rationale for quality management, the structure of clauses 4–10, and the step‑by‑step route to external certification. Post‑training feedback indicated improved understanding of how ISO 9001 can systematise processes, enhance efficiency and build market trust. The project demonstrates that knowledge‑driven academic–industry collaboration can accelerate MSMEs’ move “up the ladder” and make them more competitive. Follow‑up on‑site mentoring is recommended to ensure sustained adoption of ISO 9001 within participating enterprises.

This study aims to examine the effect of interaction frequency among 2023 cohort Sharia Accounting students on the effectiveness of online learning. The research was motivated by the increasing implementation of online classes, especially during lecturer absences or national holidays. A quantitative approach was applied through a questionnaire distributed to students. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and One Way ANOVA tests. The results indicate that although students showed a reasonable frequency of interaction, there was no significant effect on learning effectiveness. This suggests that interaction alone may not be the key factor in successful online learning. Other elements such as motivation, teaching methods, and learning environment may also play an important role. The study recommends that students engage more consistently in class and that lecturers develop more engaging and interactive online learning strategies.

Discipline in education is necessary for students to understand moral and social boundaries. The practice of disciplining (corporal punishment) against students is still debatable. Some people consider it a form of violence against children that contradicts the principles of child protection in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. A dilemma arises regarding the limits of the teacher's authority in disciplining students and whether these actions can be categorized as criminal acts or are still included in the realm of education. Article 14 of Law No. 14/2005 on Teachers and Lecturers states that teachers have the right to impose sanctions on students who violate norms, rules, and academic ethics. This research is normative research. The results of this research are: (1) The provision of corporal punishment by teachers against students who violate religious norms, norms of decency, norms of politeness, written and unwritten rules set by teachers in the learning process cannot be categorized as acts against criminal law if the corporal punishment carried out by the teacher does not exceed the limits of reasonableness or punishment that is educational in nature in accordance with the teacher's code of ethics. (2) The application of mediation as a form of protection for teachers regulated in Article 4 paragraph 2 of Permendikbud Number 10 of 2017, where mediation is a form of implementation of restorative justice values creating a space for peaceful problem solving that considers the interests of students, teachers and students. The application of mediation as a form of protection for teachers regulated in Article 4 paragraph 2 of Permendikbud Number 10 of 2017, where mediation is a form of implementation of restorative justice values creating a space for peaceful problem solving that considers the interests of students, teachers, and the school community.

Education plays a very important role in shaping an individual’s character and mindset, including in preventing radicalism. With education, it is hoped that a person can develop themselves and bring positive change to the nation and state, so that education becomes a life guide reflected in every activity undertaken. The research method used this time is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This method was chosen because it aims to systematically describe facts or characteristics factually and accurately. This study presents data as it is without manipulation or other additional treatments. From an Islamic perspective, the values of tolerance, dialogue, and justice are important foundations in building a harmonious society. This research found that the integration of moderate Islamic values into the curriculum and campus activities can strengthen efforts to prevent radicalism. Radicalism on campus is a phenomenon that needs to be watched out for because it can threaten the values of tolerance, diversity, and national unity. Critical education not only provides space for students to think analytically and reflectively, but also equips them with social awareness. Building a campus free from radicalism is not only the responsibility of educational institutions, but also requires the active involvement of all campus elements, through strong collaboration between students, lecturers, as well as strengthening the values of moderation and inclusivity.

Academic ethics violations such as plagiarism, cheating in examinations, and academic responsibility are serious problems in the field of education. This study aims to examine how campus culture affects students' ethical behavior in the academic context. The approach used is qualitative, with data collection methods including document study, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that a conducive campus culture—characterized by exemplary behavior of lecturers, enforcement of ethical codes, and consistent internalization of moral values—plays a significant role in enhancing students’ adherence to academic ethics. Conversely, an academic environment that is permissive toward ethical violations negatively impacts students’ character. This study concludes that the establishment of a strong academic culture is a key factor in fostering academic integrity among university students.
