The global clean water crisis is exacerbated by significant losses in water distribution networks (WDNs), resulting in inefficient use of both water and energy resources. Traditional methods of leak detection and pressure management often fail to address these inefficiencies, leading to substantial water wastage and high operational costs. This research aims to design a sustainable, smart water distribution system using advanced technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) for leak detection and automated pressure control. The system employs real-time monitoring through IoT sensors, which continuously gather data on water pressure, flow rates, and other critical parameters. This data is analyzed using various ML algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning models, to detect anomalies indicative of leaks. Additionally, the system integrates automated pressure control mechanisms that dynamically adjust pressure to prevent over-pressurization, reducing both water loss and energy consumption. By combining leak detection and pressure control, the proposed system offers a more efficient, sustainable solution to water resource management compared to traditional methods. The expected outcomes include a significant reduction in water loss, enhanced energy efficiency, and improved water service quality. However, the implementation of such a system in rural or small-town infrastructure faces challenges, including sensor maintenance, algorithm reliability, and regulatory issues. A cost-benefit analysis suggests that while the initial investment in smart technologies may be high, the long-term savings in water and energy costs outweigh these costs. This study underscores the potential of ML-based systems in enhancing water conservation, operational efficiency, and sustainability in water management.

This study examines the application of the hermeneutical approach in Islamic studies from the perspective of contextual Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The problem underlying this research is the dominance of textual and normative learning patterns in Islamic education that are often disconnected from contemporary social and cultural realities. The study aims to describe the hermeneutic concepts of Fazlur Rahman’s “double movement” and Hans-Georg Gadamer’s “fusion of horizons” and to analyze their relevance in developing contextual IRE. This research employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing recent scientific literature (2021–2025) from national and international journals. The findings reveal that hermeneutics provides a methodological and philosophical foundation for transforming IRE from rote-based learning into reflective, dialogical, and contextual learning. This study concludes that hermeneutics can be used as a conceptual and practical framework to strengthen the relevance of Islamic education in addressing modern challenges. However, the study’s limitation lies in its theoretical nature, so further empirical research is recommended to test the effectiveness of hermeneutic-based pedagogical models in classroom settings.

The Social Cognitive Theory proposed by Albert Bandura emphasizes that learning occurs largely through the process of observation. Teachers play an important role as models who provide direct examples so that students can understand and imitate a particular action or skill. This study aims to describe the implementation of Albert Bandura's social cognitive theory through modeling strategies in Islamic Jurisprudence learning on the material "Ablution Procedures" in class IA MI Al Ikhlas. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subjects being Islamic Jurisprudence subject teachers for class I and 25 class IA students. The research objects include the application of Bandura's modeling theory in Islamic Jurisprudence learning and students' abilities in practicing ablution procedures. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of modeling strategies in Islamic Jurisprudence learning consists of three stages, namely: (1) the planning stage, where the teacher prepares a learning plan; (2) the implementation stage, which includes four core processes, namely attention (students pay attention to examples from the teacher), retention (students record information in memory), reproduction (students practice ablution procedures), and motivation (the teacher provides reinforcement in the form of praise or rewards); and (3) the evaluation stage, which is carried out through written, oral and practical tests. The application of this theory has proven effective in improving students' ability to practice ablution correctly.

This research is motivated by the low pragmatic competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students, which is shown by the high rate of pragmatic failure (65%) and learning participation (40%), as well as the lack of contextual teaching materials. The purpose of the research is to identify learning barriers, then design, and test the initial impact of pragmatic teaching material innovation based on local wisdom through language play methods. With the Design-Based Research (DBR) approach involving teachers and students of MI in Central Java, data was collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, and then analyzed thematically. The results of the study revealed three main obstacles: (1) non-contextual teaching materials, (2) limited methodological skills of teachers, and (3) low student motivation. As a solution, "PRAGAMALOKA" teaching materials were developed that transform the values of local wisdom (tepo seliro, gotong royong) and traditional games (dakon) into the core of pragmatic learning scenarios. The limited trial showed a significant increase in student engagement and positive response. This study concludes that substantive integration between local content, pragmatic goals, and play methods is the key to creating authentic and meaningful learning. Implicitly, this development model can be adopted to design other contextual teaching materials, with recommendations for further experimental tests to measure their comparative effectiveness.

This study presents the implementation of Transfer learning using the ResNet-18 architecture for classifying 10 musical instrument categories based on visual representations of audio signals. The audio waveform is transformed into image-like inputs appropriate for CNN processing, accompanied by data augmentation and ImageNet-standard normalization. ResNet-18 is utilized due to its efficient feature extraction capability enabled by residual blocks, which help overcome vanishing gradient issues. The model was trained for 10 Epochs using the AdamW optimizer and Cross-Entropy Loss. Experimental results show that the model achieved a maximum validation accuracy of 77.35%, with a stable downward trend in training loss, indicating effective feature learning. However, several misclassification cases were observed, particularly among instruments with similar spectral characteristics, such as drum–violin and tabla–sitar. These findings demonstrate that while ResNet-18 performs reliably for musical instrument classification, further improvements remain possible through deeper architectures like ResNet-50, more comprehensive hyperparameter optimization, and the use of richer audio representations such as Mel-Spectrograms. This research provides an essential foundation for developing automated music analysis systems powered by Deep Learning.
