This study aims to analyze the effect of homework load and extended study hours on students’ learning stress levels. The background of this research is based on increasing academic demands that may affect students’ psychological conditions. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation and interviews. The results indicate that excessive homework load and prolonged study duration significantly contribute to higher levels of learning stress. Students tend to experience physical and mental fatigue, decreased motivation, and difficulty managing time between study and rest. In addition, pressure to achieve high academic performance further exacerbates stress levels. Other factors such as lack of environmental support and less varied teaching methods also influence students’ stress. Furthermore, students often report feelings of anxiety and emotional exhaustion when academic tasks accumulate without adequate rest periods. This condition not only affects their psychological well-being but also reduces concentration and learning effectiveness in the classroom. Therefore, balanced learning load management, appropriate task distribution, and more effective and humanistic teaching strategies are needed to reduce learning stress and improve the quality of education. Schools and educators are encouraged to consider students’ cognitive capacity and mental health in designing assignments and study schedules to create a more supportive learning environment.

In the planning of removable partial dentures (RPD), design is a crucial factor that must be tailored to each patient’s clinical condition, while one of the main challenges in RPD design is anatomical variation in the oral cavity such as torus palatinus, which may affect retention, stability, and patient comfort. This report aims to discuss the design considerations of acrylic resin RPD in patients with torus palatinus, particularly in determining optimal design modifications. A 42-year-old female patient presented with complaints of difficulty chewing due to the loss of several teeth in both the maxilla and mandible. Intraoral examination revealed missing teeth 15, 11, and 25, with healthy mucosal and periodontal conditions, and a nodular torus palatinus measuring approximately 2.5 × 2 cm was identified along the midline of the palate. RPD design planning in this case requires an individualized approach, particularly in the selection of the major connector and base adaptation to avoid pressure on the torus area, and design modifications were implemented to improve load distribution and patient comfort. The use of a U-shaped major connector with relief over the torus area effectively avoids direct contact, thereby enhancing comfort, preventing mucosal irritation, and supporting masticatory function.

At the research location at PT. Ansaf Inti Resource, there are several mining stages such as exploration. In the exploration itself, drilling and logging activities are carried out. However, if not careful in calculating coal resource estimates, there can be potential discrepancies between the estimated coal resources based on the results of drilling data identification and well logging data with the actual results. Exploration activities are activities that are often carried out by companies to determine reserves in an area. Without carrying out these activities, companies will have difficulty estimating the profits to be obtained. To obtain the data needed to carry out exploration activities such as calculating the quality and quantity of coal, it is necessary to carry out drilling such as the full coring method and also carry out logging activities to complete the data and also as comparative data from core drilling. Coal Resources are part of a coal deposit in the form of a certain quantity and have reasonable prospects that allow for economic consideration. Coal resources are divided according to the level of geological confidence into inferred, indicated, and measured categories. Therefore, in this study, the author will calculate coal resources from exploration data collection such as coring data, cutting data, and well logging data as well as coal quality data and process it in Minescape 5.7 software so that it can obtain an estimate of coal resources for each seam at the research location.

Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a rare soft tissue tumor with deceptively benign histological features but significant potential for local recurrence and distant metastasis. Pelvic LGFMS is extremely uncommon and may mimic gynecological malignancies, leading to diagnostic challenges. This report describes a 39-year-old woman presenting with progressive abdominal enlargement, bloating, early satiety, and dyspnea. Physical and ultrasonographic examinations suggested a malignant ovarian tumor. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy without preoperative CT scan evaluation. Intraoperatively, multiple solid masses involving the intestines, mesentery, omentum, peritoneum, and ovaries were identified, with the largest measuring 20 × 15 cm. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of LGFMS. The absence of preoperative cross-sectional imaging contributed to diagnostic difficulty in this case. CT scan and MRI are important for evaluating tumor origin, tissue characteristics, and involvement of surrounding structures. Definitive diagnosis requires histopathology supported by immunohistochemistry, particularly MUC4, and molecular confirmation when available. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation is essential to avoid misdiagnosis, optimize management, and improve long-term outcomes in patients with pelvic LGFMS.

This study aims to analyze the role and variation of test instruments in measuring students’ cognitive domain in the learning evaluation process. Using a literature review method, this study examines various scientific sources related to educational evaluation and cognitive assessment. The findings indicate that the cognitive domain includes thinking skills ranging from lower-order thinking skills (C1: Remembering, C2: Understanding) to higher-order thinking skills (C3: Applying, C4: Analyzing, C5: Evaluating, and C6: Creating) based on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Test instruments such as multiple-choice, essay, true-false, matching, and oral tests possess different characteristics, advantages, and limitations for assessing specific cognitive levels. Objective tests are considered effective for measuring lower-order thinking skills because they offer high reliability and objectivity, whereas essay tests are more appropriate for assessing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). In addition, the quality of test instruments is influenced by validity, reliability, objectivity, difficulty level, and discrimination index. Therefore, the appropriate and varied use of test instruments is essential to obtain comprehensive and accurate measurements of students’ cognitive abilities and to support effective learning evaluation and instructional decision-making processes.

This study analyzes the urgency of strengthening citizen lawsuit mechanisms in response to spatial planning failures from an environmental law perspective, using the 2025 floods in Bali as a case study. The study is motivated by the increasing frequency and intensity of floods, which can no longer be understood as merely natural phenomena, but rather as the result of structural failures in spatial planning management and weak government accountability. Normatively, spatial planning is regulated under Undang Undang Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 dan Undang Undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2009 however, its implementation reveals a gap between legal norms and actual practice. The methodology employed is a normative legal approach, involving an analysis of legislation, legal doctrine, and judicial practices related to citizen lawsuits. The study's findings show that land-use conversion and development in water catchment areas, which go against the precautionary principle, the polluter pays principle, and sustainable development, are examples of spatial planning violations that cause flooding in Bali. In this situation, citizen lawsuits increase public access to justice while acting as a legal tool to hold the state responsible for its carelessness. However, this mechanism's effectiveness is still limited by the absence of a clear legal foundation, the difficulty of the burden of proof, and the public's limited access to the litigation process. Therefore, in order for citizen lawsuits to serve as effective tools for environmental protection and accountability, it is imperative that clear regulations be established, procedures be streamlined, and public access and ability information be improved.

Immigrant children often face challenges in adjusting and adapting to new environments. This study analyses the adaptation process of the main character, Unhei, as an Asian American immigrant child in Yangsook Choi’s picture book The Name Jar. This study examines the challenges Unhei faces in The Name Jar as she attempts to adapt and maintain her identity in a new environment in America, including language barriers, cultural differences, and social interactions with peers. This study employs a qualitative method using text and illustration analysis based on the adaptation theory proposed by Lamme et al. (2004), which consists of three stages: making transitions, making connections, and becoming American. The findings show that Unhei experiences various challenges in adapting to her new environment, including language barriers, cultural differences, and difficulties in social interaction. Unhei undergoes three stages of adaptation; making transitions, making connections, and becoming American. In the making transitions stage, Unhei experiences confusion, insecurity, and difficulty adjusting to a new cultural and social environment. In the making connections stage, she maintains connections with her Korean identity through her family, language, traditional objects, and Korean food while gradually building relationships in her new environment. In the becoming American stage, Unhei begins to adapt to American society and develops confidence in accepting her Korean identity without abandoning her cultural background. Furthermore, Unhei’s experience reflects that adaptation does not always occur smoothly, but involves a process of self-negotiation in dealing with cultural differences. The adaptation process is dynamic and influenced by both internal and external factors, and positive social interactions can help accelerate successful adaptation in a new environment.

This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles on the development of social skills in early adolescence. The method used was a literature review. Researchers reviewed and synthesized the results of relevant previous studies, sourced from scientific journals and credible digital databases. The analysis results show a consistent relationship between the type of parenting style and the quality of social skills. Democratic parenting has been shown to make a significant positive contribution to communication skills, empathy, cooperation, emotional control, and adjustment in social environments. Adolescents raised with this parenting style tend to have better self-confidence and are able to build healthy social interactions at school and in the community. Conversely, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles tend to have less beneficial impacts. This is characterized by the emergence of social anxiety, low initiative, difficulty adhering to social norms, and limitations in establishing interpersonal relationships. These findings emphasize the crucial role of parents in shaping the social competence of early adolescents. The study concludes that implementing a balanced, consistent, and communicative parenting style is a key factor in supporting the development of social skills. Collaboration between the family and the educational environment needs to be strengthened.

Patients with ANSD may have hearing thresholds that vary from normal to severe hearing loss, but they often have difficulty understanding speech, especially in noisy environments. This condition can be caused by various factors, including genetic mutations (such as in the OTOF gene), preterm birth, perinatal hypoxia, and hyperbilirubinemia. Some adult patients have been reported to develop ANSD following autoimmune disorders such as sensorimotor neuropathy or after chemotherapy with ototoxic agents such as cisplatin. Diagnosis of Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD) begins with a comprehensive medical history to identify risk factors that play a role. A history of preterm birth, severe hyperbilirubinemia requiring exchange transfusion, perinatal hypoxia, ventilator use, and a family history of infection or genetic disorders are major risk factors. In addition, patients or parents often report delayed speech development, inability to understand speech (especially in noisy environments), or a discrepancy between previous hearing test results and the child’s behavioral response. The gold standard for diagnosing ANSD is a combination of: (1) positive OAE and/or CM, (2) absent or abnormal ABR, and (3) absent acoustic reflex. This diagnosis is established only if there is evidence that the cochlea is functioning normally but there is a disruption in auditory nerve transmission. Routine monitoring is conducted to assess hearing and language development and adjust devices and therapy methods according to the patient’s needs. Counseling and education for families are also crucial components to provide optimal support at home and improve the patient’s quality of life. A comprehensive multidisciplinary approach is essential to ensure effective management of ANSD and achieve the best possible outcomes.
