This qualitative study aims to explore the effectiveness of reward-and-punishment-based Islamic Religious Education in strengthening students' learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Bukateja using Travis Hirschi's social control theory framework. This research was conducted through a case study approach in one of the public high schools in Purbalingga Regency. Data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of rewards and punishments functions as a social control mechanism that is able to activate four elements of social bonds: attachment, commitment, involvement, and trust. The reward system in the form of praise, certificates, and gifts has been proven to strengthen the emotional bond between students and teachers, thereby increasing active participation and enthusiasm for learning. Meanwhile, educational punishments, such as reprimands, additional assignments, and community service, are able to build student commitment to rules and reduce indiscipline behavior. This study contributes to the development of Islamic education theory through a social control perspective and serves as a practical reference for Islamic Religious Education teachers in designing effective, fair, and sustainable learning systems.

Musi Rawas Utara Regency is categorized as an underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) region that still faces serious challenges in human development, particularly within the education dimension. Although the Human Development Index (HDI) indicates an upward trend, the School Enrollment Rate (SER) and the mean years of schooling at the secondary education level remain relatively low and lag behind other regions. This condition is influenced by limited access to secondary education, household economic vulnerability, and disparities in the quality and distribution of educators in remote areas. This policy paper aims to analyze secondary education issues as a primary obstacle to increasing the HDI of Musi Rawas Utara Regency and to formulate effective and sustainable policy alternatives. The method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis through a literature study, utilizing data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), regional planning documents, as well as relevant national regulations and policies. The analysis was conducted using a SWOT approach to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the regional education policy. The results of the study show that improving the HDI requires integrated, affirmative, and region-based education policies. Three main policy alternatives recommended include expanding and equalizing access to secondary education, strengthening educational assistance and social protection for vulnerable families, and sustainably distributing and improving teacher quality. The implementation of these policies is expected to increase the SER, extend the mean years of schooling, and strengthen the quality of human resources as a foundation for sustainable development in Musi Rawas Utara Regency.

This study aims to analyze the relationship between epistemology and scientific logic in the development of scientific knowledge using a library research approach by reviewing relevant literature in the fields of philosophy of science, theory of knowledge, and principles of scientific logic. The findings indicate that epistemology serves as a philosophical foundation for understanding the origin, structure, and validity of knowledge, while scientific logic functions as a systematic tool that guides reasoning in constructing rational and consistent scientific truth. Both have a complementary relationship, where epistemology provides a normative framework for determining the criteria of knowledge validity, and scientific logic ensures that the reasoning process is structured, coherent, and free from fallacies. Therefore, the integration of epistemology and scientific logic plays a crucial role in producing scientific knowledge that is objective, measurable, and academically accountable, while also enhancing the overall quality and credibility of the scientific process.

Poultry agribusiness is a key driver of food security and rural economic development in developing countries. However, the sector remains vulnerable to infectious diseases such as avian influenza and Newcastle disease, which can disrupt production systems and supply chain continuity. Although previous studies have examined poultry disease control, biosecurity, and supply chain disruption, evidence on how risk and crisis communication supports outbreak management and resilience in developing-country poultry agribusiness remains fragmented. This study applied a systematic literature review (SLR) approach under PRISMA guidelines to synthesize risk and crisis communication strategies in poultry disease management and their contribution to supply chain resilience. Only seven relevant studies published between 2020 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using the PICO framework. Quality assessment using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT), combined with systematic data extraction in Microsoft Excel 2021, was conducted to improve methodological transparency and consistency. The novelty of this review lies in integrating communication strategies, enabling and constraining factors, digital tools, One Health perspectives, and public–private collaboration within a single analytical synthesis. The findings indicate that participatory, transparent, and coordinated communication can support disease prevention and crisis preparedness, particularly when strengthened by stakeholder trust, policy support, training, and accessible information channels. However, limited digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and cultural barriers may reduce communication effectiveness. Overall, this review highlights the need for inclusive communication systems and collaborative governance to strengthen poultry supply chain resilience in developing countries, while recognizing that the small evidence base limits broad generalization.

Heat stress is a major constraint in broiler production systems located in humid tropical climates, where high ambient temperature and relative humidity impair growth performance, feed efficiency, and animal welfare. This systematic review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies published between January 2015 and December 2025 evaluating environmental housing designs and cooling strategies for mitigating heat stress in broiler chickens. This systematic review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and synthesized peer-reviewed studies retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect, published between January 2015 and December 2025. From 500 records initially identified, 26 studies fulfilled the predefined eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. The findings demonstrate that evaporative cooling systems, tunnel ventilation, and automated climate control technologies consistently reduced indoor temperature (2–6°C) and improved body weight gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and mortality rates under hot-humid conditions. However, cooling efficiency was strongly influenced by ambient humidity, necessitating integrated and adaptive environmental control approaches. Smart sensor-based systems further enhanced microclimate stability and thermal uniformity within broiler houses. Beyond performance improvements, optimized environmental management reduced physiological stress indicators, including heterophil-to-lymphocyte ratios and corticosterone levels. Overall, integrated, humidity-adaptive, and energy-efficient cooling strategies are essential to sustain productivity, welfare, and climate resilience in tropical broiler production systems.

Open burning of household waste remains the dominant waste disposal practice in rural areas of Indonesia, posing significant risks to public health and environmental quality. This community service activity aimed to provide an innovative, low-smoke waste combustion solution — the rocket stove incinerator — to the residents of Dusun Allukeke, Desa Belapunranga, Kecamatan Parangloe, Kabupaten Gowa. A baseline survey conducted during PBL 1 revealed that 87.6% of households disposed of waste through open burning. An asset-based community development (ABCD) approach was adopted, engaging community members at every stage from planning, construction, to utilisation. The rocket stove was constructed over three days using locally available materials and was demonstrated to significantly reduce visible smoke emissions compared to conventional open burning. The technology works through a vertically insulated combustion chamber that promotes near-complete combustion, reducing waste volume by 50–90% while suppressing particulate matter and hydrocarbon emissions. Community participation strengthened local ownership of the solution. This activity demonstrates that appropriate technology co-constructed with communities can serve as a practical, sustainable, and replicable model for rural waste management.

This study examines the emergence of localized English expressions in Indonesian social media discourse, highlighting how English is adapted and reinterpreted in multilingual digital contexts. While previous studies on English in Indonesia have primarily focused on formal domains such as education and language policy, limited attention has been given to informal online communication where linguistic innovation is highly visible. This study aims to analyze how English lexical items are re-semanticized and creatively transformed by Indonesian users on social media platforms. The study employed a qualitative approach using data collected from Instagram posts and comments, focusing on selected examples of English-derived expressions such as boba, gas, voucher, server, and suamiable. The analysis compares the conventional meanings of these terms in Inner Circle English with their localized meanings in Indonesian usage. The findings reveal that English functions as a flexible linguistic resource, undergoing processes of semantic shift, metaphorical extension, and lexical blending. These localized forms reflect users’ creativity as well as their ability to adapt global linguistic resources to local cultural contexts. The study concludes that English in Indonesian social media is not merely borrowed but actively reconstructed, contributing to the dynamic development of English in the Expanding Circle.

This study aims to analyze the inner conflict experienced by the female protagonist, Alina Suhita, in the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis using Karen Horney’s psychological perspective. The study is motivated by the complexity of the psychological struggles faced by the main character in dealing with marital pressures, family expectations, and socio-cultural demands within a pesantren environment. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. The data source was the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis, while the research data consisted of textual excerpts depicting the protagonist’s inner conflicts. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques and subsequently analyzed based on Karen Horney’s theory of neurotic tendencies. The findings reveal that Suhita’s inner conflict is influenced by marital pressures, family demands, social expectations, as well as cultural and religious values that shape her personality. These conflicts are manifested through three neurotic tendencies: moving toward people, moving against people, and moving away from people. The tendency of moving toward people is reflected in her obedience, self-sacrifice, and need for acceptance. The tendency of moving against people appears in her efforts to maintain self-respect, assertiveness, and courage in confronting pressure. Meanwhile, the tendency of moving away from people is shown through emotional withdrawal, solitude, and the pursuit of inner peace. The findings indicate that the protagonist’s inner conflict is dynamic and functions as a form of psychological adjustment to basic anxiety and socio-cultural pressures throughout the narrative.

The development of digital media has transformed YouTube into one of the most influential platforms for Islamic preaching, shaping public understanding of religious issues, including religious tolerance. This study aims to analyze the representation of religious tolerance, the patterns of tolerance message delivery, and the tendency of interpreting religious tolerance in Felix Siauw’s YouTube content. The research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of videos discussing interfaith relations and social diversity. The findings reveal that religious tolerance in Felix Siauw’s content is represented as respect for the rights of followers of other religions in social life without compromising the boundaries of Islamic creed (aqidah). Messages of tolerance are conveyed through persuasive narratives supported by Qur’anic verses, Hadith, and scholars’ perspectives, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Islamic identity within a pluralistic society. The study also indicates that the interpretation of tolerance promoted in the content tends to emphasize social tolerance rather than theological tolerance, namely respecting diversity and fostering peaceful coexistence without equating religious beliefs. Therefore, digital Islamic preaching functions not only as a medium for disseminating religious teachings but also as a platform for shaping public understanding of religious tolerance.

The Free Health Check-up (CKG) is a government program designed to strengthen promotive and preventive health efforts through the early detection of risk factors, pre-disease conditions, and diseases across the community according to the life-cycle approach. As a relatively new initiative, the implementation of the CKG program in primary healthcare settings still requires further evaluation to assess implementation readiness, digital support systems, and community participation. This literature review aimed to examine the implementation of the Free Health Check-up Program in primary healthcare services. Relevant literature was retrieved from the Google Scholar database using the keyword "implementation of the free health check-up program" and was limited to open-access, full-text articles published between 2025 and 2026. The search identified eight eligible articles, which were extracted and analyzed in this review. The synthesis revealed three major themes in the implementation of the CKG program: (1) primary healthcare service readiness, (2) digitalization and reporting systems, and (3) community participation and communication strategies. Primary healthcare readiness includes the availability of human resources, infrastructure, medical equipment, consumable medical supplies, funding, service workflows, and cross-sectoral coordination. Digitalization through the SATUSEHATplatform and integrated reporting systems has the potential to improve service efficiency; however, challenges remain regarding digital literacy, internet connectivity, and the technical capacity of healthcare personnel. Community participation is influenced by knowledge, attitudes, the roles of community health volunteers, teachers, healthcare workers, and communication strategies tailored to the characteristics of the target population. The successful implementation of the CKG program requires strengthening primary healthcare systems, optimizing digital health platforms, and adopting community-based communication strategies to ensure the program is more effective, inclusive, and sustainable.
