The Qur'an al-Karīm employs at least four principal terms in referring to human beings, namely al-basyar, al-insān, al-nās, and banī Ādam. These terms are not merely synonymous; rather, each represents distinct yet complementary dimensions of humanity in constructing a holistic concept of the human being. This study aims to: (1) analyze the semantic meanings of these four terms based on mufrodat studies, Makkiyah-Madaniyah classification, and asbābun nuzūl; (2) compare the interpretations of classical scholars - Al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, Al-Qurṭubī, and Fakhr Al-Rāzī - with those of contemporary scholars - Sayyid Quṭb, Ibn ‘Āshūr, M. Quraish Shihab, and Buya Hamka; and (3) formulate their implications for Islamic education. This research employs a library research method using the tafsīr maudhū‘ī approach integrated with Izutsu’s semantic analysis model. The findings reveal that al-basyar represents the physical-biological dimension of human beings; al-insān represents the spiritual dimension in relation to ‘ubūdiyyah toward Allah; al-nās represents the social-collective dimension; and banī Ādam represents the intellectual-rational dimension inherited from Adam through the divine gift of teaching al-asmā’ (Qur'an 2:31). Collectively, these four dimensions provide fundamental implications for the development of objectives, curriculum, methodology, and evaluation within holistic and comprehensive Islamic education.

This study discusses clause structures in online news articles published by Detik.com, highlighting the issue of UNNES student Iko Juliant Junior in September 2025. The background of this research lies in the importance of understanding how digital media utilize language structures to convey information effectively, concisely, and objectively. In the context of online journalism, the selection and arrangement of clauses play a crucial role in shaping clarity, focus, and meaning as perceived by readers. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms and types of clauses used in news texts and to explain their functions in maintaining the accuracy and credibility of information delivery. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a focus on syntactic studies. The data consist of clauses found in Detik.com news articles published in September 2025, analyzed based on their syntactic components: subject, predicate, object, complement, and adverbial. The findings show that the clause patterns of Subject–Predicate (S–P) and Subject–Predicate–Object (S–P–O) are the most dominant, with verbal predicates appearing most frequently. These patterns reflect the efficient, factual, and easily understood style of online journalistic language. This study contributes to the development of syntactic research and serves as a practical reference for journalists and readers in understanding effective language use in digital media.

This study examines the words structure of two selected songs, “Kekal” and “Di Akhir Perang”, from Nadin Amizah’s album Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya, with a focus on identifying and interpreting the functions of open class words and closed class words within the lyrical composition. The background of this research lies in the growing interest in understanding how contemporary Indonesian songwriters construct meaning through linguistic choices that contribute to the emotional depth of their works. The objective of this study is to analyze how open class words such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs contribute to semantic imagery, while closed class words such as pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions, and aspects establish grammatical cohesion and narrative continuity. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the lyrics were segmented, categorized, and interpreted based on linguistic theory to reveal the semantic and grammatical roles of each word class. The findings show that open class words dominate the emotional and metaphorical landscape of the songs, functioning as carriers of imagery, personal vulnerability, and symbolic representation of healing, love, and existential reflection. Meanwhile, closed class words serve as structural anchors that link ideas, mark relationships between clauses, and maintain narrative fluidity, particularly in expressing inner conflict and the resolution of emotional war depicted in the lyrics. The study concludes that Nadin Amizah’s lyricism is not only aesthetically expressive but also linguistically strategic, revealing a deliberate interplay between lexical creativity and grammatical precision. These findings imply that linguistic analysis can enrich the appreciation of contemporary Indonesian music and open new perspectives for future studies in stylistics, discourse analysis, and cultural semantics.

Fifth grade students' consistently poor reading comprehension abilities, which impeded their overall academic development and participation in language acquisition, served as the driving force for this study. Using a comic assisted problem based learning (PBL) model, the study, which involved 39 students at SDN Purwamekar, aimed to improve learning activities in order to increase teacher and student participation and, eventually, improve fifth grade students' reading comprehension skills. By using comic strips to illustrate issues, this creative method made learning more engaging and accessible for younger students. In order to enable iterative improvements, the study was conducted over two cycles using classroom action research technique. Only 25% of students (eight people) successfully completed the learning objectives in the first cycle, according to preliminary findings, while 75% (24 students) failed, suggesting difficulties with student motivation and comprehension. This led to changes like improving comic material and fostering more cooperative conversations. Significant progress was seen by the second cycle, with 30 students meeting the completion criteria and only four falling short of the objectives, indicating improved engagement and skill growth. In conclusion, the comic assisted PBL model effectively boosted reading comprehension skills among fifth grade students. The research underscores the value of integrating visual aids and problem solving in education, offering practical insights for teachers to create more dynamic classrooms. Nonetheless, factors like time constraints and resource availability warrant further exploration to ensure sustainable implementation in diverse educational settings.

Cognitive domain assessment is an important component in the learning process which aims to measure students' mastery of knowledge and thinking abilities. This research presents the concepts, principles and implementation of cognitive assessment in education through literature studies. Bloom's Taxonomy revised by Anderson and Krathwohl divides the cognitive domain into six levels: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, analyzing, and creating. Developing an effective cognitive assessment instrument requires systematic planning, starting from determining objectives to analyzing question items. Various assessment techniques such as multiple choice tests, short content, descriptions, and true and false can be used according to learning objectives. Challenges in implementing cognitive assessments include difficulties in designing instruments that measure higher-order thinking abilities. A deep understanding of the principles and techniques of cognitive assessment is essential for educators to improve the quality of learning and assessment.

This research is to find out how revenge is revealed in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. This research is qualitative since the data are in the form of words rather than numbers. The data were collected in the novel Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. An objective approach is used in analyzing the data. The result shows that the formula of a mystery shows that the problem always has a desirable and rational solution, but the mystery being or state is not resolved. The first formula; the problem always has a desirable and rational solution, is the Frankenstein solution to find eternal life, such as by doing further research, following the guidelines of a book by scientists, studying the branches of science related to research, identifying laboratory equipment, making the design and size of the body resemble the human body, and even collecting human bones that have been dead. The second formula, that the mystery of the imaginary being or state is not resolved, is Frankenstein’s failure to control the monster. As a creator, Frankenstein should be able to control his creation. But the reality is that he is not capable.
