Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in supporting the Indonesian economy, especially in rural areas where they contribute significantly to employment and local income. Sait Buttu Saribu Village in Simalungun Regency possesses considerable potential in the agricultural, tourism, and culinary sectors, which can be developed through strong MSME activities. Nevertheless, many local MSMEs continue to experience challenges related to limited promotion, weak branding, and restricted market access. This study aims to analyze visit-based and promotional strategies for MSMEs as an effort to strengthen the village economy and enhance business competitiveness. The research methods consist of a literature review of relevant previous studies and field observations conducted through community service activities in the village. The findings indicate that industrial visits, digital promotion via social media platforms, the utilization of Google Maps for location visibility, and branding that highlights local wisdom are effective strategies for expanding market reach and increasing MSME competitiveness. Through strong synergy among the village government, MSME actors, and the local community, MSMEs in Sait Buttu Saribu Village can grow more optimally and contribute to sustainable economic development and tourism.

The community service program in Dusun Bendrong aimed to foster environmental awareness through the planting of timber and fruit seedlings as a response to declining forest quality and reduced water availability caused by vegetation loss. This program sought to enhance community participation in forest conservation while strengthening local wisdom related to environmental stewardship. The activity was conducted in three stages: pre-activity observation and coordination with the Village Head and community leaders, joint planting of 14 seedlings by Student Community Service (KKM) participants and local residents, and monitoring and evaluation to assess implementation and participant understanding. The results showed that all seedlings were successfully planted, with high levels of participation from both students and community members. The activity increased awareness of forest conservation and highlighted the importance of collective action in maintaining environmental sustainability. Timber trees contributed to forest restoration, improved water absorption, and reduced erosion risk, while fruit trees provided additional economic and social benefits for the community. Overall, this participatory approach proved effective as a sustainable model for community service programs that integrate environmental conservation and community empowerment.

The traditional homes of indigenous communities in Indonesia are highly vulnerable to natural disasters, particularly earthquakes, due to Indonesia's location in the Pacific Ring of Fire, which experiences high seismic activity. This situation demands the strengthening of traditional buildings to withstand potential earthquakes. Stilt houses, as a form of traditional architecture, possess characteristics that actually support earthquake resilience, such as flexible structures, the use of lightweight materials, and the application of local wisdom passed down through generations. With the development of modern construction techniques, stilt houses have the potential to become safer and more adaptable dwellings to earthquake shocks. However, indigenous communities, particularly those living in earthquake-prone areas and with lower levels of education, often face limited knowledge and skills related to the basic principles of earthquake-resistant construction. This lack of understanding results in traditional house construction without considering structural safety aspects, ultimately increasing the risk of serious damage and even collapse during an earthquake. These impacts not only threaten life but also cause significant material losses. This community service activity aims to improve the preparedness and resilience of the Sentani Indigenous community by developing earthquake-resistant stilt house models, increasing knowledge and skills in earthquake-safe house construction and maintenance, and encouraging the use of innovative technology and materials. The expected outcomes are the creation of model houses that can serve as examples and the dissemination of information on earthquake-resistant construction technology.

The development of digital technology requires villages to transform not only their governance but also their public awareness of digital opportunities and risks. However, the process of digital transformation cannot be separated from the local socio-cultural context. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to strengthen local wisdom-based transformational leadership as a strategy for dealing with digital dynamics in Pesanggrahan Village, Kutorejo District, Mojokerto Regency. The implementation methods included a situation analysis, program socialization, digital literacy seminars, discussions on Pancasila values, and mentoring for village officials, community leaders, religious leaders, and Karang Taruna youth. The activity results showed an increase in participants' understanding of digital literacy, media ethics, and the relevance of local values, such as cooperation, deliberation, and tolerance, in supporting the village's digital transformation. The community also showed enthusiasm for participating in the development of digital content and technology-based services. This PKM concluded that effective digital transformation requires adaptive, character-based leadership rooted in local cultural values. Collaboration between universities, village governments, and communities is an essential prerequisite for promoting inclusive and sustainable social change.

This study examines the implementation of Fardhu kifayah counseling in Telagah Village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency, focusing on the social and cultural problems and challenges faced by the local community. Telagah Village is known for its rich history, strong traditions, and local wisdom that shape its social life. However, in the practice of handling the deceased, several issues remain, including limited community knowledge, lack of regeneration among younger members, inadequate facilities, and the absence of a designated team responsible for the Fardhu kifayah process. These limitations often lead to dependence on a few individuals who possess the necessary skills, creating sustainability concerns in the long run. Furthermore, cultural aspects such as conservative norms, gender role divisions, and deeply rooted customs influence how the community perceives and accepts Fardhu kifayah counseling. The study highlights that successful implementation requires not only technical guidance but also sensitivity to local values and traditions. Strengthening community participation and fostering collaboration between religious leaders and local authorities are essential to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of Fardhu kifayah education in Telagah Village.

Sukapura batik represents the local wisdom of the Tasikmalaya Regency community, showcasing their relationship with the surrounding natural and social environments. This batik has distinct characteristics, particularly in its color palette, which features dark blue, maroon, and beige tones. Despite its long history, Sukapura batik struggles to achieve the same recognition as well-known batik from regions like Cirebon, Solo, and Pekalongan. As a result, the number of batik artisans in Sukaraja has gradually declined. This research examines the communication efforts to preserve Sukapura batik and explore its growth potential. Using a qualitative method and a case study approach, the study gathers data from participants through interviews, observations, and the analysis of written documents, both online and offline. The results showed that there are differences in marketing strategies between craftsmen in Sukapura Village and Janggala Village. Sukapura Village craftsmen still rely on traditional marketing, while the Gandok Jaya Mukti Joint Business Group (KUB) utilizes exhibitions and social media. The main challenges are low digital literacy and limited capital. Sukapura batik has the potential for development, despite challenges posed by global competition. Realizing this potential depends on support from the local government in areas such as human resource development, as well as marketing and promotion through online channels. The sustainability of Sukapura batik relies on the government's and policymakers' proactive involvement to devise and implement strategies that enhance promotional and marketing endeavors, particularly those targeting the younger generation. Efforts to raise awareness of Sukapura batik require collaboration between artisans, the government, and the community. One approach is through education and training for young batik makers, as well as providing facilities to support digital marketing.

This literature study examines the application of sustainable production systems in community empowerment, particularly focusing on industrial engineering implementation in local communities. Using a qualitative approach through document analysis, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews, the research identifies three critical findings. First, community-based production system models that integrate contextual analysis, participatory design, and continuous monitoring significantly improve productivity and income of local communities, as demonstrated in the weaving community in Sleman, Indonesia. Second, production engineering interventions that combine technological innovation and social empowerment generate sustainable economic impacts, including 11-13% increase in global agricultural commodity production and 43% reduction in worker idle time in the manufacturing sector. Third, an adaptive conceptual framework connecting local wisdom with digital technology strengthens community resilience, as seen in green construction practices based on local materials that reduce costs by up to 20% while improving quality of life. The study strengthens socio-technical systems theory by demonstrating that the success of sustainable production systems depends on synergies between technical, social, and institutional aspects.
