The rupiah plays a vital role as a symbol of national identity and sovereignty, but awareness among rural communities about its function and importance is often limited. In Kutalimbaru Village, the main challenges identified are low monetary literacy, which results in physical damage to money and a lack of awareness about counterfeit money. Through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program, community service efforts were carried out with the aim of internalizing the values of “Love, Pride, Understanding (CBP) of the Rupiah.” The approach used was community-based education through interactive workshops and practical demonstrations on money care techniques and an introduction to the security features of the Rupiah. Findings in the field show a transformation in the community's attitude; from being indifferent to being more careful in handling paper money and better understanding the role of the Rupiah in economic stability. This program has succeeded in increasing the financial literacy of citizens while strengthening the spirit of nationalism through appreciation of the national currency. Keywords: community empowerment, micro businesses, tempeh products, entrepreneurship, Sialaman Village.

This community service program develops a pilot model of Pancasila Village based on Asta Cita in Paciran Village, Lamongan Regency through the integration of three intervention clusters: (1) national seminar to strengthen Pancasila values and the agenda of “building from the village”, (2) training on downstreaming palm sap as a strengthening of the local economy and entrepreneurship based on village potential, and (3) coastal rehabilitation action through planting sea pine as an environmental adaptation in sandy coastal areas that are vulnerable to wind and erosion. The implementation method uses a participatory and asset-based approach (ABCD) that places residents as the main actors, with a series of activities including socialization, cross-party coordination, training on processing palm sap into value-added products (brown sugar and syrup), seminars with community leaders and academics, planting sea pine, and pre-post evaluation based on knowledge, skills observation, and participant satisfaction. The implementation results show the formation of a cross-generational commitment to make Paciran Village a pilot Pancasila Village, increased community capacity in palm sap processing, and the birth of collective coastal rehabilitation actions. The program also produced sustainability recommendations in the form of routine cross-generational agendas, utilization of village social media for educational content on Pancasila–nira–cemara laut, and the appointment of Pancasila students as environmental sustainability ambassadors in the village.

This study aims to analyze the role of UINSU’s Community Service Program (KKN) students in enhancing Islamic entrepreneurial awareness among the residents of Pahang Village, Talawi District, Batu Bara Regency. The KKN program serves as a platform for applying academic knowledge while empowering communities through educational, persuasive, and participatory approaches. The students introduced fundamental concepts of Islamic entrepreneurship, including principles of justice, honesty, sustainability, and the avoidance of riba, gharar, and maisir. Through a series of activities such as seminars, micro-business training sessions, financial management mentoring based on sharia principles, and simple business model simulations, the villagers began to show improved understanding of Islamic economic values. Moreover, the active involvement of students created an inclusive learning environment that was accessible to various community groups. The findings indicate that the presence of KKN students contributed positively to cultivating entrepreneurial motivation, particularly among youth and micro-business actors. This improvement was reflected in changes in mindset, interest in initiating halal businesses, and increased awareness of applying sharia principles in daily economic activities. Thus, the KKN program not only provides practical experience for students but also offers a tangible contribution to strengthening sharia-based economic empowerment at the village level.

Village entrepreneurship is an initiative designed to stimulate regional economic growth by accelerating the development of rural areas, which have long been perceived as slow, less productive, and lagging behind urban centers. The creation of entrepreneurial villages offers a concrete strategy to enhance community productivity because it encourages all components of the village government, residents, and local institutions to participate in structured and collaborative entrepreneurial activities. Such villages are expected to generate new economic opportunities, strengthen local industries, and increase community independence. However, initial observations from this Community Service program show that partner villages still face significant barriers, including limited land area, geographical remoteness, and inadequate human and natural resources. Many peripheral villages have not yet utilized digital technology effectively, making it difficult to expand markets or access broader economic networks. In addition, challenges related to financial access, limited talent development, socio-cultural constraints, and weak market infrastructure continue to hinder economic progress. These conditions demonstrate the urgent need for strategic assistance, capacity-building programs, and stronger support systems to help villages transform into sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems capable of contributing to long-term regional development.
