This study aims to describe the representation of love in the character of Indar in the novel Bukan Cinta Monyet by Purnama Teduh based on Erich Fromm’s perspective. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literary psychology approach. The source of this study is the novel Bukan Cinta Monyet, with data consisting of narrative quotations and dialogues related to the representation of love in the character of Indar. Data collection was conducted through reading and note-taking. Data analysis in this study employed content analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that Indar’s representation of love, viewed from the perspective of existential needs, encompasses only the needs for relatedness and attachment. Indar’s representation of love demonstrates an orientation toward brotherly love and erotic love. Meanwhile, elements of mature love such as responsibility, care, respect, and knowledge have not been fully realized. Thus, Indar’s representation of love does not yet demonstrate the maturity of love, but rather the consistency of feelings she maintains from adolescence into adulthood.

The research applies a literature study with a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal marital conflict symbolized through wayang figures, particularly Rama and Sinta. Structurally, the story presents a progressive plot, symbolic and metaphorical language, and central themes of love and responsibility. The psychological analysis highlights the interaction of the id, ego, and superego within the main characters: Rama experiences tension between personal desires and moral norms, while Sinta demonstrates superego dominance through loyalty and emotional endurance. The short story emphasizes that true love is not solely based on emotion but also requires responsibility, commitment, and moral awareness as the foundation of a harmonious and sustainable relationship. This research contributes to literary psychology studies and deepens understanding of moral values in literature.

This article explores the song lyrics of “Somebody’s Pleasure” by Indonesian artist Aziz Hedra through the lens of Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The song reveals a narrative of emotional neglect, objectification, and the yearning for genuine affection. Van Dijk’s three-dimensional model—textual structure, cognitive processes, and social context—is applied to dissect how the language in the song reflects individual mental states and broader social ideologies regarding love, self-worth, and power relations in modern relationships.

The analysis reveals that the poem is rich in figurative language, including metaphor, personification, hyperbole, metonymy, synecdoche, and simile. Each of these figures of speech is employed to depict the social, emotional, and spiritual conditions of the teacher and the environment in which they serve. The use of figurative meaning in the poem not only beautifies the language but also strengthens the moral messages, educational values, and appreciation of the teaching profession. By understanding these figurative meanings, readers can grasp deeper humanistic and simplicity values embedded in the realm of education.

This study found that the novel uses affixation, a linguistic process that involves adding affixes to the base form to produce new meanings. The study found that the use of affixes in the novel not only improves character descriptions but also increases the emotional depth of the story. The analysis results show that morphology plays an important role in shaping the meaning and characters in the story. It also shows that morphology reflects the social and cultural dynamics that women face in modern society. It is hoped that this research will enhance our understanding of how morphology is used in modern literary works.

The object of research in the novel love story of entrico, this study will focus on analyzing moral values in the novel. Data collection techniques are reading and notes. The reading technique is carried out by reading the story novel of enriek repeatedly and as a whole to clearly understand the contents of the story novel Enico by Utami's love story. Then the next step is to look for moral values in the novel langakah the next is to record the moral values contained in the novel Enico love story. This recording technique is to determine and analyze moral values in the novel of Enico's love story. The results of the study showed that the novel of the love story of Enico by ayu Utami includes, moral, religious, and education values. The moral value that we learn in Enrico love story is, as humans should have a clear life goal so that in the future we get life and kebahagin. The religious value is seen from his parents who are one religious Muslim and others are Christians, then Enrico himself does not choose a religion and belief. The value of education, namely Enrico, continues his education at a university in one of the universities in Bandung which is known as ITB, majoring in mining.

The meaning contained in a word will sometimes experience a change in meaning/shift in meaning when the word is combined with other words. This research aims to find out the words that have association meaning in Yudhiswara's poetry collection Rain Escapes in Sela Jari. The research method in this study is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this research is the theory of semantic studies on changes in meaning. The data in this research is in the form of words, phrases/idioms that have associations and the data source in this research is a collection of poems Hujan Lolos di Sela Jari by Yudhiswara.  The data collection technique in this research uses reading and note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this research is classifying the data including metaphorical meaning changes, analyzing the data and making conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the poem Rain Escapes in Sela Jari is in the form of compound words that contain associations of meaning, the association of meaning tells about love and tells about nature. This research conducted on the ganjuran ds ngambeg tradition in Puncak, Lamongan Regency, namely to find out and explain clearly. The research uses folklore theory, namely the concept of Danandjaja. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative with interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research instrument is a researcher, a list of questions and an observation sheet. The aim of this research is 1) to explain the origins of the ganjuran tradition in Ngambeg village, Puncak district, Lamongan district. 2) Explain the procedures for the Ganjuran tradition. 3) Explain the ubarampe and its meaning in the Ganjuran tradition. 4) Explain the benefits or uses of the ganjuran tradition. 5) Explain how to preserve the ganjuran tradition. The results of research on the ganjuran tradition in Ngambeg Village can be seen that the origins of Ngambeg Village are from Panji Laras and Panji Liris which are loved by Dewi Andanwangi and Dewi Andansari. The procedures for this tradition consist of the preparation and closing stages. Ubarampe from the ganjuran tradition is 1) Sugar and Coffee 2) tetel 3) lemet 4) Wingko 5) Krecek 6) Sticky Rice Salak 7) Side dishes 8) Bananas 9) Bongko 10) Bread 11) Kalender. The uses of the Ganjuran tradition are 1) as a projection system 2) as a system of rules for cultural institutions 3) as a tool for education 4) as a tool for monitoring society, then other uses are 1) for economic activities 2) religious or religious 3) social. This research will focus on one of the original Javanese arts in the form of East Javanese style shadow puppet performance “Sumantri Gugur” puppeteer Ki Puguh Prasetyo as oral literature. Dasamuka's journey in fighting for his love ambition for Dewi Citrawati allows researchers to know more deeply about Dasamuka's personality traits. The aim of this research is to describe the personality structure, mental problems and consequences of the actions of the Dasamuka characters. The theory used in this research is Ludwig Klages' theory of personality psychology. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with video documentation of shadow puppet performance “Sumantri Gugur” puppeteer Ki Puguh Prasetyo which will be broadcast live in 2023 as the main source. The aim of using this method is to be able to present data in the form of descriptions, not in the form of numbers. Data collection was carried out using listening and transcription techniques.  The results and discussion of this research are that the character Dasamuka is included in the temperament group sanguinis, with various negative desires to justify various means to fight for an ambition. In order to justify any means, the character Dasamuka will face the consequences of his own actions.
