In the current digital era, social media has become an open space filled with streams of information, including invalid ones. Santri, as the future generation of the ummah, are required to have critical thinking skills to filter, analyze, and make wise decisions. Islamic boarding schools as traditional Islamic educational institutions are faced with the challenge to remain relevant amidst technological developments. This study aims to: 1) Find out the strategies of Pondok Pesantren Daruttaqwa III Gresik in improving students’ critical thinking skills toward social media developments, 2) Identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the strategy, 3) Understand the role of Pondok Pesantren Daruttaqwa III in integrating traditional values with modern approaches to sharpen students’ critical thinking skills. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the strategies include: 1) Integration of digital literacy and critical thinking in the formal education curriculum, 2) Character building and supervision in the dormitory environment as a key strategy, 3) Strengthening through extracurricular activities, awareness campaigns, and limited training. Supporting factors include strong leadership, dedication from teachers and administrators, presence of traditional Islamic values as ethical foundations, and increased student awareness. Obstacles include time limitations, lack of structured materials, varying digital literacy levels, and the rapid evolution of social media. The pesantren has successfully integrated Islamic values such as tabayyun, adab, amanah, and husnudzon with modern approaches.

This article discusses the basic concepts of HOTS questions, strategies for their implementation in learning, and their benefits in improving children's comprehension quality. Several effective strategies in HOTS-based learning include using challenging questions, problem-based learning, reflective discussions, and utilizing technology and interactive media. Additionally, this article identifies the challenges faced in implementing HOTS in elementary schools and solutions that educators can apply. With proper implementation, HOTS questions can help students develop higher-order thinking skills essential for facing future challenges.

This study aims to know the form and form of moral values contained in the novel of the love of ayu utami in her daily life. the method used is qualitative. The object of research in the novel love story of entrico, this study will focus on analyzing moral values in the novel. Data collection techniques are reading and notes. The reading technique is carried out by reading the story novel of enriek repeatedly and as a whole to clearly understand the contents of the story novel Enico by Utami's love story. Then the next step is to look for moral values in the novel langakah the next is to record the moral values contained in the novel Enico love story. This recording technique is to determine and analyze moral values in the novel of Enico's love story. The results of the study showed that the novel of the love story of Enico by ayu Utami includes, moral, religious, and education values. The moral value that we learn in Enrico love story is, as humans should have a clear life goal so that in the future we get life and kebahagin. The religious value is seen from his parents who are one religious Muslim and others are Christians, then Enrico himself does not choose a religion and belief. The value of education, namely Enrico, continues his education at a university in one of the universities in Bandung which is known as ITB, majoring in mining.

The effectiveness of children's literature is proven in the improvement of literacy skills, emotional development, and social learning. Recent developments in children's literature show innovative trends, including theme diversification and the use of digital platforms. Furthermore, this research reveals the significant influence of children's literature on various aspects of development, including cognitive, emotional, social, and the formation of cultural identity. Children's literature serves as a catalyst in stimulating imagination, enriching vocabulary, and facilitating understanding of emotional complexities and social dynamics.The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating diverse children's literature into the education curriculum, as well as collaboration between educators, writers, and other stakeholders to create relevant and impactful content. Recommendations for future research include a deeper exploration of the long-term effects of children's literature exposure on individual development, as well as an investigation into the potential of children's literature in addressing contemporary issues such as digital literacy and global awareness.

The aim is to get an overview of parent-child communication, identify factors hindering communication, and the extent to which parental communication affects children's behavior. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) Parent-child communication in Kelapapatí Village sometimes goes well, but there are still some that are not good, causing concern and influencing children's behavior outside the home; (2) Factors hindering communication are job demands (career) and the economy; (3) The influence of parental communication on children's behavior can be seen from changes in children's attitudes at home and school, such as lack of respect for teachers and parents, frequent quarrels with friends, often using harsh words, and others. This will have an impact on children's development in the future.

The purpose of this research is to add to the learner's knowledge in understanding the tenses and aspects of Japanese and Indonesian and to help learners in applying tenses and aspects in both languages. The research method used is contrastive research, which compares the structure of Japanese and Indonesian to identify the differences between the two languages related to kala and aspect. The results show that Japanese tenses include: past tense, irregular tense, present tense, and future tense. Aspect in Japanese is characterized by morpheme changes such as -te iru and -te iku.  Indonesian tenses: past tense, present tense, and future tense. Aspect in Indonesian is characterized by the prefix me- and adverbs. Contrastively, the difference in tense and aspect in the two languages lies in the markers of tense and aspect. In Japanese, it is marked by morpheme changes while in Indonesian it is marked by prefixes and adverbs. In conclusion, there are differences in the markers of tense and aspect between Japanese and Indonesian even though the meanings are the same.

The results of the study show that understanding and appreciation of Pancasila values ​​among SMA N 2 Medan students is still limited, with the lack of relevance of Pancasila values ​​in the context of students' daily lives being one of the main challenges. This research provides a deeper understanding of the role of Pancasila in 21st century education and provides a basis for developing more effective learning strategies to raise the profile of Pancasila students in the future.

The document analysis reveals a curriculum at STIP Jakarta that aligns commendably with international standards, supported by comprehensive lecturer training programmes. However, the nuanced cadet perspectives spotlight a need for refined emphasis on the practical application of English proficiency in real-world maritime scenarios. Cadet self-assessment underscores both confidence in academic intelligence and an identified need for additional language support, calling for targeted interventions. Exploring professional competences uncovers a disparity between technical proficiency and English Maritime communication, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to bridge this gap. Cadet motivations vary from a genuine passion for maritime activities to the allure of lucrative career prospects and international recognition. Recognizing this diversity urges the need for personalised career guidance and mentorship programmes. The research also sheds light on English Maritime and Literacy proficiency, differentiating between basic skills and the ability to handle complex communication scenarios. Recommendations include integrating advanced language modules and tailored language support initiatives within the curriculum, ensuring a seamless development of linguistic skills alongside technical competences. In conclusion, this research offers a comprehensive understanding of maritime education at STIP Jakarta, unveiling challenges and opportunities that resonate globally. In this research, the author aims to reveal the character values ​​contained in the short story entitled "Sacred Tree" by Yus R. Ismail and then relate them to real life. In his research, the author used a qualitative descriptive method, which in the process displays the data as it is without manipulation or other treatments. The aim of this research is to present a complete picture of an event or is intended to expose and clarify a phenomenon that occurs. The steps for collecting data in the short story "Sacred Tree" are by (1) reading the short story intensively, then (2) analyzing the character values ​​and (3) presenting the data. Apart from using qualitative descriptive methods, the author also uses a mimetic approach, namely research that connects the content of literary works and real life. In this short story the author finds character and moral values ​​depicted in each character, as well as a real storyline that occurs in life. A difference of opinion which then becomes the cause of a dispute, but can be resolved by a figure who has a wise nature. Then the policy leads to changes that cause regret in the future. And the moral value presented in this short story is not to force change on a group or person if we cannot be responsible for the change. This short story by Yus R. Ismail is a simple short story that describes real life clearly without engineering and contains several useful lessons for the reader.
