Beginner students often face difficulties in academic writing, such as organizing ideas, choosing correct grammar, and expressing information in their own words. Because of this, many students use QuillBot as a writing support tool. This study aims to understand how QuillBot helps beginner writers become more independent in academic writing. The research used a mixed-method approach with 30 students from the English Language and Literature Department at the State University of Medan, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and open-ended reflections. The findings show that more than 70% of the students use QuillBot frequently in their writing tasks. Most students said that QuillBot helps improve grammar accuracy, sentence clarity, and paraphrasing skills, and also increases their confidence in writing. The summarizing feature also helps students identify and restate main ideas. However, 59% of the students noted that using QuillBot too much may reduce creativity and lead to dependency. The study concludes that QuillBot is helpful as a supporting tool for writing, but it should be used in balance. Students still need to practice writing independently so they can develop their own writing style and confidence.

The little chef program at Kiddos Preschool has succeeded in improving the English speaking skills of KG1 students. Before the program, students were hesitant to speak English, but after joining the program, they showed significant improvements in vocabulary and confidence. On average, students were able to mention 10 new vocabulary words related to cooking and participated more actively in discussions. Cooking activities create a fun learning atmosphere and support active language use. Interviews with students and teachers show that the program not only improves language skills, but also students' self-confidence and social skills. With the right teacher support, this program can continue to evolve to meet student needs.

Activities that are being done include learning. It is important for individuals who will later interact and teach children who have visual impairments, to keep up with news about the effectiveness of learning, one of which is knowing the role of technology in language learning for visually impaired children. This article is made using the systematic literature review research method to find out the role of technology in language learning for visually impaired children, what technology can be used for language learning for visually impaired children, and its effectiveness in learning. The technology that has the ability to read PDF text, convert sounds in various languages, convert visual information into audio, and learn through audio greatly facilitates the learning of blind children, whether it is language learning or learning in general. Technology that facilitates blind learning has a good effect in general on the visually impaired children, such as the building of self-confidence for the visually impaired children due to the increased ability of the visually impaired children to learn to identify their environment, the ability to be independent, less dependence on others, and increased communication skills due to language learning that becomes more accessible.

This study aims to analyze the self-actualization of Rebecca's character in the novel entitled "Dear Nathan-Hello Salma" using Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which has five levels of needs namely physiololgis, security, affection, self-esteem and self-actualization. By using descriptive qualitative research methods, analyzing the life of Rebecca's character in building self-confidence after going through a problem that almost made her give up on life. The results of the study show that the five hierarchical needs of Rebecca have been fulfilled entirely in sequence starting from the needs at the lowest level to the highest level. Namely from physiological needs, then the need for security, the need for love and existence, the need for appreciation and the last is the need for self-actualization.
