This research aims to describe and analyze the phenomenon of code switching and code mixing used by speakers in the Faculty of Languages ​​and Arts (FBS). This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects used in this research were students and students in the Faculty of Languages ​​and Arts (FBS). The object of this research is speech about the use of code switching and code mixing used in everyday communication.  The data collection techniques used in this research are direct observation, interviews and recording techniques. The results of this research show that the code switching and code mixing that occurred was Javanese, Batak, English and Indonesian. The types of code switching found were Indonesian to Batak, from Indonesian to Javanese, and from Indonesian to English and vice versa. The types of code mixing found are code mixing in and code mixing out using Indonesian, English and Javanese with word forms and expressions.

  This paper reviews the challenges encountered by second language learners in the  acquisition  and  utilization  of  collocations,  which  are  crucial aspects of proficient language use. Collocations refer to the habitual pairing or grouping of words  that  occur  together  frequently  in  natural  language.  The  research synthesizes findings from various studies conducted in the field, highlighting common difficulties experienced by learners across different proficiency levels and linguistic backgrounds. Key factors contributing to these challenges include differences  in  first  language  structures,  inadequate  exposure  to  authentic language use, limited awareness of collocational patterns, and difficulties in achieving  native-like  fluency.  Additionally,  pedagogical  implications  and effective  instructional  strategies  for  enhancing  collocational competence are discussed,  is to inform language instructors and curriculum developers in building more targeted and effective language learning materials and activities.This  research  is  divided  into  three  sections;  section  one  presents  the preliminaries   of   the   study.   Section   two   explains   the   meaning,   types, characteristics, and importance of the study. Section three will apply a test of collocation on the 4th stage of the college to know their weakness points in collocation. Finally, the conclusion is the research.

Disciplinary character is an attitude and feeling of being obedient and obedient to values ​​that are believed to be one's responsibility. Therefore, teachers try to develop students' disciplined character, one of which is by applying the role-playing method. This research aims to develop students' disciplined character through role-playing methods on Pancasila values. This researcher uses a qualitative method with the Classroom Action Research (PTK) type, which consists of 2 cycles and each cycle has 2 meetings. The data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results obtained from the application of the role playing method in PPKN subjects on Pancasila values ​​for teachers in cycle I increased from 75.5% to cycle II 88.75%. The application of the role playing method in PPKN subjects regarding Pancasila values ​​to students in cycle I was 67.5% and cycle II was 93.75%. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes in the mathematics subject material flat shapes after implementing the picture and picture model increased with the average score in cycle I being 65% and cycle II being 85%.

Disciplinary character is an attitude and feeling of being obedient and obedient to values ​​that are believed to be one's responsibility. Therefore, teachers try to develop students' disciplined character, one of which is by applying the role-playing method.  Cross-age stories or also known as hikayat story texts have their own uniqueness when compared to other types of texts. The uniqueness of the hikayat story text is in the presentation of the language in the story that uses archaic language, the contents of the story, and the plot used in the story. These uniqueness certainly requires an effective strategy in the learning process. After the Covid-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of human life, one of the aspects that has an impact is the field of education. In the field of education that is very influential is an educator or teacher. A teacher is required to always update and actualize the times and technology in relation to the learning process. Teachers must find alternative solutions to various problems for the smoothness and achievement of learning. One alternative solution to this problem is the implementation of Google Classroom media with a hybrid learning system. The hybrid teaching and learning process can use the help of electronic technology, one of which is Google Classroom. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this article is to describe the implementation of Google Classroom in teaching story texts for class X-5 at SMA N 11 Semarang. The results obtained from this article are that the implementation of Google classroom in learning story texts for class X-5 at SMA N 11 Semarang runs well and smoothly and can improve student learning outcomes.   Keywords: technology, media google classroom, hikayat story text

Teaching writing is not easy. Teacher needs to think the appropriate and effective medium that will be able to attract the students’ interest. Due to this case, an animated video was chosen as a medium to facilitate students' learning process to be more interactive and attract students' interest for composing, particularly to write Descriptive Texts. The research explored the use animated videos to teach descriptive text in grade seventh academic year 2023/2024 at MTsN 6 Tulungagung. The type of experiment utilized is a Quantitative with Pre-Experiment Designs. The sample consisted of 31 students as control group. There are three steps conducting this research: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The expert formed the validation of the questions. Based of the data analysis results, the pre-experimental class’s mean scores 76.35 and 86.32 in the post-test. Researchers found that the score of Sig. (2-Tailed) is 0.001 less than 0.05, therefore H0 is denied by acceptance of Ha. So in this case it was concluded that the differences in the analysis of the mean between the results of the pre and post-test meant that there were effects of using the animated video as the medium of learning in writing Descriptive Text in class VII in the 2023/2024 school year at MTsN 6 Tulungagung.

This research aims to describe the moral message in Nandong poetry Simeulue regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this research is observation, interview, note-taking and listening techniques.The data used in this research are fragments of Nandong poetry which contain moral messages in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency. The data source for this research is the word of Nandong poetry. Simeulue Regency. Data source for this research is the sound of Nandong poetry, Simeulue Regency. Data analysis in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. Based on the research results, 31 pieces of moral messages were found in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency. The moral messages in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency are divided into 3 types of moral messages.  (1) Individual moral messages (8 data of human relationship with themselves), (2) Social moral messages (15 data of human relationship with other human), (3) Religious moral messages (8 data of human relationship with God).

This study aims to see the development of student learning outcomes using Wordwall-based science and technology learning media in grade IV SDN 01 Muara Panas, Solok Regency. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Qualitative descriptive research is a series of activities carried out to obtain data that is as it is in accordance with the data in the field. The stages of data collection in this study are observation and interviews. The data collection analysis technique is to provide media, present data, and receive conclusions. The results of the study used Wordwall teaching media in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN 01 Muara Panas, Solok Regency. Researchers use Wordwall media because this teaching media can be accessed easily and free of charge by teachers. Wordwall media also presents a variety of diverse alternative media such as Open the Box, True or False, Random Wheel, Missing Word, Find the Match, and many other types. With the presentation of various alternative media, educators can be creative in presenting fun teaching media for students. Fun teaching media will make students more active in participating in learning.

IDN Times is an Indonesian digital media platform aimed at the younger generation. IDN Times is a journalistic company with two main offices in Jakarta and Surabaya. As a media outlet disseminating news to its readers, IDN Times is not free from language errors in creating and distributing news. The aim of this research is to explain the types of morphological language errors in news writing on IDN Times concerning corruption and the viral fake calculator in the film "In-laws Are Deadly." The researcher focuses the investigation on news published in June. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The method used in this research are reading and writing. The results of the study show the presence of language errors in the field of morphology, which include: 1) Errors in affixation omission, and 2) Errors in word writing. This analysis is expected to serve as an evaluation to be more careful in writing news, particularly in the aspect of morphology.

This research aims to describe the types of conversational implicatures found in the novel Oriana's Wedding Diary by Ayana Kamila, as well as their implementation in Indonesian language learning in high school. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research is the novel Oriana's Wedding Diary by Ayana Kamila. Data collection techniques in this research used note-reading and literature study techniques. The results of this research were that several types of conversational implicatures were found in the novel, including: 1) General conversational implicatures, 6 data were found containing general conversational implications in the novel. 2) Specific conversational implicatures, 4 data were found containing general conversational implications in the novel. 3) Scale conversational implicatures, 3 data were found containing general conversational implications in the novel. The results of this conversational implicature research can also be implemented in high school in several materials, such as anecdote text material, fiction and non-fiction book material, and finally in historical story (novel) text material. In learning materials there are often sentences that can be interpreted in various ways. By understanding implicature, it is hoped that it can reduce confusion in interpreting the meaning that students have regarding these sentences.
