Mergers and acquisitions have served as a primary strategy for global banking consolidation over the past three decades, including in Indonesia, which is currently undergoing one of its most massive consolidation waves—one notable example being the emergence of Bank Syariah Indonesia. This article aims to provide a narrative review of the literature on the operational impacts of mergers on bank performance, with a particular focus on implications for the Indonesian context. Based on a systematic search of the Scopus database, 52 peer-reviewed articles published between 2000 and 2025 were analyzed using a narrative thematic synthesis approach. Five main themes were identified: cost efficiency, service quality, risk management, human resource and cultural integration, and information systems and technology integration. The key findings indicate that although 73.1% of studies report post-merger improvements in cost efficiency, these benefits are highly contingent upon the quality of post-merger integration especially in the areas of human resources, organizational culture, and information technology with IT integration failure rates reaching as high as 75%. Domestic mergers consistently achieve efficiency gains more rapidly than cross-border mergers, whereas risk implications depend heavily on the type of merger and the quality of integration. Policy implications include the need for the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) to monitor post-merger integration quality, provide integration guidelines for smaller banks, take into account the specific characteristics of Islamic banks, and ensure a streamlined, non-burdensome licensing process. Further research particularly empirical studies on banking mergers in Indonesia—is urgently needed to test the generalizability of global findings to the local context.

This study aims to analyse the strategies implemented by Kopi Kenangan MSMEs, particularly the branch at Jl. Pancing No. 184 Medan, in facing the challenges of globalisation and penetrating the international market. The method used is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that Kopi Kenangan is well prepared to compete in the global market through strengthening internal management, utilising digital technology, and building a brand image based on Indonesian coffee identity. The expansion strategies implemented include selecting markets with cultural proximity, adapting products to local preferences, and collaborating with international partners. The main obstacles faced include competition with global brands, differences in consumer tastes, financial constraints, and export regulations. However, business opportunities remain wide open in line with the increasing global coffee consumption trend, interest in authentic local products, and government support in promoting and facilitating MSMEs. This study concludes that the success of MSME internationalisation is largely determined by the synergy between internal company quality, digitalisation, partnership networks, and external support from the government.

For Indonesia, exports have a strategic role as a supporter of the national economy. In addition to being a source of foreign exchange, exports also support job creation, expand the domestic market, and strengthen the domestic industrial structure. One of the root problems that hinders Indonesia's export competitiveness is the low level of innovation in the production and processing sectors. The literature study method or literature review is an analysis technique used to gain a comprehensive understanding of a particular topic by studying and evaluating existing literature, such as journals, books, reports, and other sources relevant to the research topic. In the literature study on the Role of Innovation in Increasing Export Competitiveness. the role of technological innovation in exports is increasingly important considering the structural challenges faced so far, such as low added value of export products, minimal adoption of technology, and weak integration between industry, research, and government policy. Technological innovation plays a strategic role in increasing Indonesia's export competitiveness in the global market.

This study aims to analyze market sentiment towards Gold Financing Products (PKE) in Islamic banking before and after the Trump Effect phenomenon using the text mining method. This technique involves extracting information from unstructured text data to then be visualized and analyzed using the Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach and a RoBERTa-based classification model. Data was collected through web scraping from the X application with the help of API and processed using Google Colab. From a total of 4,074 tweets analyzed, it was found that the majority of public sentiment was neutral (59%), followed by negative (24%) and positive (17%). This reflects the public's tendency to discuss informatively rather than emotionally, although there was a spike in negative sentiment in certain periods indicating sensitivity to global dynamics, especially the impact of the Trump Effect on gold prices. The resulting wordcloud reveals key topics such as gold prices, buying and selling activities, and institutions such as Pegadaian Syariah and BSI. Terms such as "sharia", "riba", and "principles" emphasize the importance of Islamic financial values ​​in public perception. The results of this study indicate that text mining-based sentiment analysis is effective in capturing the dynamics of public opinion in real-time and can be a strategic tool for Islamic financial institutions in responding to market changes.

In the current era of globalization, various problems must be faced by organizations, from within and outside the organization. Organizations are required to make strategies to be able to deal with existing problems and be able to serve the public or clients properly and optimally. This study aims to examine the effect of work environment, motivation, and the combined effect of work environment and motivation on employee performance at RSU Bunda Jembrana. This research uses quantitative methodology. The research methodology used in is a quantitative approach. The data sources used are primary and secondary. There is primary data obtained from observation methods, interviews, and questionnaires to respondents. Secondary data sources are data from certain records obtained through journals, modules and books in accordance with this research problem. The sample of this study amounted to 20 participants who worked at RSU Bunda Jembrana. This research data analysis through Validity Test, t test, and f test. The findings of this study show that the work environment has a positive effect on work motivation at RSU Bunda Jembrana, motivation has a positive effect on employee performance, and a positive effect of work environment and motivation on overall employee performance.

Human resource development (HRD) is a fundamental pillar in the management of Islamic education, especially in the era of globalization and the industrial revolution 4.0. Islamic educational institutions are required to produce graduates who are not only religious but also competent, ethical, and adaptive. This study aims to identify effective HRD strategies to improve the quality of Islamic educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation in several Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal that strategies such as training, internships, scholarships, mentorship, collaboration, performance evaluation, spiritual development, technology implementation, and innovation play vital roles. The integration of Islamic values in recruitment, training, and career development is also crucial. However, challenges such as limited funding, lack of competent human resources, and insufficient leadership attention remain obstacles. This study emphasizes the need for innovation in HRD to overcome these barriers. It is expected that the findings provide practical solutions for Islamic educational institutions to achieve educational goals, produce quality graduates, enhance competitiveness, and contribute positively to society.

Global economic issues have significantly impacted national economic progress in recent decades, especially for developing countries such as Indonesia.  Currency exchange rates are one of the main variables that influence this economic process.  The performance of a country's external sector is largely determined by the exchange rate, which also affects a number of other macroeconomic factors.  The purpose of this study is to see how much Indonesia's economic growth is affected by the exchange rate between 1980 and 2023. Data from government agencies including the Central Bureau of Statistics and Bank Indonesia are used in this quantitative approach using a literature study approach.  The findings show that changes in the value of the rupiah, especially when depreciation occurs, have a significant influence on a number of economic factors, such as imports, exports, inflation, domestic investment, and consumption.  The competitiveness of Indonesian export goods in the global market increases with the depreciation of the exchange rate. At the same time, however, it also leads to higher prices for imported goods, increases the burden of foreign debt, and depresses people's purchasing power and domestic investment activity. The last five years of data reflect the fluctuating pattern of Indonesia's international trade, which is closely related to exchange rate conditions and global economic dynamics. Exchange rate instability creates economic uncertainty, which can hamper long-term growth. Therefore, stabilizing the exchange rate and strengthening the export sector are important strategies, supported by monetary and fiscal policies that are adaptive to global changes.

MotoGP is an international motorcycle racing event that attracts global attention and impacts various sectors, including the logistics sector. One important aspect of the MotoGP event is temporary imports, such as motorcycles, spare parts, and supporting equipment. This study aims to explore how to handle temporary imports using ATA Carnet in MotoGP cargo imports and identify challenges and solutions during the MotoGP cargo handling process. The method used is qualitative, with primary data obtained through observations and interviews, and secondary data from written sources, films, images, and monumental works. The data analysis techniques applied include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using triangulation techniques and sources. The study results show that handling MotoGP cargo with temporary import status differs from general cargo, as it involves customs procedures and requires special documents such as ATA Carnet, Customs Notification of Special Economic Zones (PPKEK), and Temporary Import Permits for exemption from entry fees. The handling process must be performed quickly to save time, given the limited period for temporary imports before re-export. However, Customs personnel still face challenges related to the attachment of customs seals, so the company needs to evaluate the recruitment and training processes of workers. The solution is coordination between PT. Angkasa Pura Logistics and Customs for the addition of officers.

The findings show that there are three strategies: developing continuous professionals, integrating technology in the learning process, encouraging collaboration and creativity. This research is expected to provide insights for educational institutions in designing more effective development programme.

Since its launch in 2020, the car has undergone significant development, especially with the introduction of a hybrid variant in 2023. This article aims to analyze the import and export phenomenon of the Suzuki XL7 from 2019 to 2024, as well as the challenges faced in the process. Through an in-depth literature review, this research will explore the various variables that influence the success of the Suzuki XL7 in the domestic and international markets. The research method used is literature analysis, which involves collecting data from various reliable sources. The discussion will cover market analysis, marketing strategies, as well as case studies related to challenges and solutions in the face of global competition. The conclusion of this research will provide a comprehensive overview of the Suzuki XL7's position in the Indonesian and global automotive industry.

Realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 is a shared responsibility that requires participation from all sectors, including the government, civil society, and the private sector. Therefore, considering the importance of sustainable development in the field of investment itself, several global organizations have established a measure that calculates sustainable development known as ESG investing. ESG consists of Environment, Social, and Governance, which adds value to companies that care about and think about the environment, such as issues related to carbon emissions, water and air pollution, and other environmental issues. This research aims to determine the role of the younger generation as agents of change through ESG Investment in realizing the 2030 SDGs. The research method utilized in this scientific paper is a combination research method with data collection through literature review. This study aims to analyze and enhance the effectiveness of Human Resource Management (HRM) at PT Indonesia Kyouei Saikyu, particularly in aspects of employee productivity, retention, and the company's competitive edge. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that improving employee retention strategies, optimizing training programs, and adopting technology in performance management positively impact employee productivity and loyalty. Additionally, strengthening organizational culture and structured career development have been proven to enhance job satisfaction and employee commitment to the company. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to help PT Indonesia Kyouei Saikyu achieve a stronger competitive advantage in an increasingly competitive global market. Therefore, the company can more effectively manage its HR assets, ensuring sustainability and long-term growth.

In the era of globalization and advances in information technology, business competition in various sectors is getting tighter, including in retail industries such as supermarkets. Supermarkets are not only a place to meet daily needs, but also become part of the busy lifestyle of urban people. In this context, the quality of services and products offered by a supermarket has a very important role in maintaining and increasing market share and customer satisfaction. The survey was conducted both directly in the Super Indo Kenjeran Supermarket area and online through an online survey platform. The survey design used is a cross-sectional survey, where data is collected at one particular point in time to measure the relationship between the variables studied. In this context, research on the effect of service quality and product quality on customer satisfaction at PT. Lion Super Indo Kenjeran becomes relevant and important to do. With a better understanding of the factors that affect customer satisfaction, PT. Lion Super Indo Kenjeran can identify areas that need improvement and design more effective strategies in maintaining and increasing customer loyalty. The rapid progress in information and communication technology coincides with globalization in the field of human resource management and will determine the status of human resource management in companies now and in the future. The author uses a quantitative research method through a random sampling approach and data collection process through distributing questionnaires. The research sample used 30 staff who were taken randomly from 45 marketing staff. The results of this study indicate that flexibility and innovation behavior factors have an effect on employee retention at PT Jaya Jagat Raya.

Cocoa is a plantation crop that has a high contribution to the Indonesian economy through export activities. The large number of people interested in processed cocoa products means that demand for cocoa is increasing every year. The aim of the research carried out was to measure and see the level of comparative competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa in the main importing country, namely Malaysia. This research was conducted from March 2024 to April 2024. This research uses secondary data in the form of panel data for the period 2013-2022. The method used is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to measure and determine the level of competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa's comparative advantage. The research results show that Indonesian cocoa in the Malaysian market has strong competitiveness with an average RCA value of 2.61197. This also shows that Indonesian cocoa can compete in the global market by continuing to develop both technology and information.

In the era of increasingly rapid globalization, the industrial world is faced with inevitable dynamics. One important aspect in industry is optimal layout planning. The right layout determines the effective placement of production facilities, thereby smoothing the production process and increasing productivity. The current layout of production facilities at Bebeke Om Aris Dramaga is not optimal, causing production inefficiencies and increased costs. This research aims to redesign the layout of facilities at Bebeke Om Aris Dramaga. This research examines the design of alternative layouts at Bebeke Om Aris Dramaga with the aim of increasing productivity. The methods used are Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Total Closeness Rating (TCR). Production location calculations are carried out periodically to obtain accurate information. The research results show that the proposed layout has shorter distances between facilities. Apart from that, the resulting service time is more optimal. This change in store layout shows that the new layout is more effective and efficient than the old layout. This is proven by research results which show that the new layout design can reduce the time spent by employees in the production process and service to customers and the distance between facilities and increase the efficiency of employee movement.

The Society 5.0 era reflects the world's transition towards a society that integrates digital technology with everyday life. In this context, traditional culinary delights, such as lemang, have the potential to evolve and maintain their relevance amidst changing times. Lemang, a traditional rice-based food prepared by steaming it in bamboo sticks, has become an inseparable part of the culinary heritage of people in several Southeast Asian countries. However, with technological developments and shifts in people's consumption patterns, there is a tendency to ignore traditional culinary delights such as lemang. Therefore, it is important to implement strategies that can promote lemang so that they remain in demand in the Society 5.0 era. Integration of digital technology in the production, distribution and promotion processes of lemang can be a solution. Using social media platforms to promote the uniqueness and deliciousness of lemang, as well as bridging traditional craftsmen with a wider market through e-commerce are some ways to introduce lemang to a new generation. Additionally, innovation in recipes and presentation, without losing its traditional essence, can also be an interesting approach. By combining traditional values and innovation in the Society 5.0 era, lemang will not only survive, but will also increasingly develop and be accepted in the hearts of global society. Culinary is an important aspect of human culture that continues to develop along with the times. The Society 5.0 era, which is marked by the integration of digital technology in everyday life, provides new opportunities and challenges in preserving and improving traditional culinary culture such as lemang. Lemang is a traditional food from Indonesia, Malaysia and several other Southeast Asian countries made from sticky rice cooked in bamboo. This study aims to explain how technology and innovation can be used to improve Lemang culinary culture in the context of the Society 5.0 Era.

In the current era of globalization, the success of a business requires creative ideas from business owners. Companies are required to produce creative ideas to provide value and positive experiences for consumers with the aim of increasing and retaining customers. This research aims to determine the influence of customer value (X1) and customer experience (X2) on repeat purchase decisions (Y) at Warung Lesehan Pak Brodin. Using a quantitative approach, the sampling technique used a non-probability sampling method in the form of accidental sampling of 88 Warung Lesehan Pak Brodin respondents. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature studies, with the help of IBM SPSS version 25. The research results show that the Customer Value variable (X1) has a partial and significant effect on the Repurchase Decision (Y) with t count 4.280 > 1, 98827 and a sig t value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the Customer Experience variable (X2) has a partial and significant effect on the Repurchase Decision (Y) with a calculated t value of 4.640 > 1.98827 and a Sig t value of 0.000 < 0.05.
