The ability to write scientific papers is an essential competency for students in supporting academic achievement and readiness to face the world of work and research. However, many students still experience difficulties in compiling scientific papers, especially in the aspects of writing systematics, the use of academic language, and reference management. In response to this problem, the service team carried out a Scientific Writing Preparation Training for PASIM National University students as a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the aspect of community service. The training method uses an andragogy approach through interactive lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. The activity was attended by around 50 students across study programs. The training material includes an introduction to scientific papers, writing rules, topic determination techniques, reference search and management, and outline preparation. Evaluation was carried out through observation, assessment of written products, and satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding by 30–40% based on the comparison of pre-test and post-test. All participants succeeded in compiling an outline of scientific papers, and the majority expressed satisfaction with the training. This activity has proven to be effective in improving students' scientific writing skills and fostering academic motivation and culture. It is recommended that similar training be carried out on an ongoing basis with intensive mentoring to support the improvement of the quality of human resources and contribution to student scientific publications.

Shallots are one of the most strategic horticultural commodities in Indonesia, with high demand and varying production levels across regions. Differences in productivity between areas often create challenges in managing distribution and formulating national food policies. This study aims to analyze shallot production data in Indonesia by applying the K-Means Clustering algorithm using Python. The production data were collected from official agricultural statistics publications, followed by preprocessing, normalization, and determination of the optimal number of clusters using the Elbow method and Silhouette Score. The clustering results show the formation of several groups representing regions with high, medium, and low production levels. Visualization of the clustering results reveals the distribution patterns of shallot production, which can serve as a basis for supporting policy formulation in the development of shallot production centers in Indonesia. Thus, the application of K-Means Clustering with Python proves to be an effective approach to provide clearer insights into regional production variations and can be utilized as an analytical tool to support decision-making in the agricultural sector.

The purpose of this study was to examine the phenomenon of depression in children with a focus on early identification, risk factors, and effective treatment approaches. The method used in this study was a narrative literature review that synthesized findings from various scientific journals, academic books, and reports from world health organizations related to depression in children. The results of the analysis indicate that depression in children is a real clinical condition but is often undiagnosed due to differences in symptoms compared to adults and lack of public awareness. The main risk factors include childhood trauma, genetics, and dysfunctional family dynamics. Evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, and psychosocial interventions have shown effectiveness in reducing symptoms. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of early detection and intervention as a preventive measure to minimize the long-term impact on children's mental health.

The absence of a father figure (fatherlessness) can have significant impacts on an individual's psychological and social well-being, particularly among university students who are navigating the critical phase of identity formation. This study aims to explore the meaning of father loss in students by comparing experiences of losing a father due to divorce and death. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, six participants who had experienced fatherlessness were interviewed in depth. The results show that the loss of a father due to death is generally perceived as a permanent and irreplaceable loss, evoking deep sadness. In contrast, father loss due to divorce is often associated with emotional conflict, feelings of abandonment, and unresolved grief (ambiguous loss). The psychological impacts include emotional disturbances, social difficulties, and low self-confidence. Students employed various coping strategies such as seeking social support and engaging in academic or productive activities. In conclusion, the study highlights that the meaning of father loss varies depending on its cause, but both types have significant negative effects on students' psychological well-being. Therefore, strong emotional and social support is essential to help fatherless students adapt and build resilience in facing such loss.

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by non-BPJS private hospitals in increasing revenue and competitiveness amidst the dominance of BPJS services in Indonesia. Private hospitals face challenges in attracting patients due to the perception of high service costs and limited public access. However, they have advantages in speed of service, modern facilities, and direct access to specialists. This study uses a literature review method with a content analysis approach to various secondary sources such as scientific journals, industry reports, and policy documents. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of a marketing strategy based on the 7P marketing mix concept (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence), digital marketing, and customer relationship management through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) are key to increasing patient attraction and loyalty. Collaboration with private insurance also provides added value through ease of payment and access to premium health services. This study provides recommendations for hospitals in developing adaptive, holistic, and patient satisfaction-oriented marketing strategies.

This study discusses the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the monitoring and control system of smokehouse machines at PT Serena Harsa Utama. IoT enables the integration of sensors to monitor critical parameters such as temperature and humidity in real-time, thereby enhancing production efficiency and product quality. An experimental method was employed to test the effectiveness of the IoT system, with data collection through integrated sensors. The results indicate that IoT implementation can increase production efficiency by up to 30%, reduce human error, and optimize energy consumption. Despite challenges related to initial investment and operator training, the long-term benefits of IoT adoption, such as improved product quality and reduced downtime, make it a promising solution in the food processing industry. This research emphasizes the importance of adopting IoT technology to enhance competitiveness in the modern industry.

This study aims to analyze the optimization of the role of Dandim 1301/Sangihe in handling the eruption of Mount Ruang as part of the implementation of the Indonesian Army’s (TNI AD) main duties in the field of Military Operations Other Than War (OMSP). The research was conducted in Sitaro Regency, North Sulawesi, using a qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques. The informants consisted of personnel from Kodim 1301/Sangihe, BPBD staff, and community leaders. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The results show that the role of Dandim is crucial in coordinating and mobilizing disaster response, but there are still challenges such as limited personnel, logistics, equipment, and weak inter-institutional coordination. The study concludes that optimization can be achieved through the development of a disaster risk map, strengthening inter-institutional collaboration, utilizing technology (drones), and conducting routine disaster training and simulations. These measures are expected to improve the effectiveness and speed of response in facing volcanic eruptions.
