Penulisan Penggalian Informasi Cagar Budaya Yoni di Gandekan, Kelurahan Harjosari

he Community Service Program team stationed in Harjosari Village assisted in documenting and writing the history of the Yoni cultural heritage located in the Gandekan Neighborhood, Harjosari. This initiative was carried out because information about the relic was still very limited, even though various oral stories about its origin and past function circulated widely among the local community. Data collection for this research was conducted through interviews with several key resource persons, including local elders, community members, representatives of the Shiva God community, and officials from the cultural affairs division of the local government. The findings of this study revealed new insights regarding the Yoni heritage in Gandekan, which is estimated to date back to the 8th century. Historically, the Gandekan Yoni functioned as a territorial boundary marker, reflecting its important role in the sociocultural landscape of the past. Today, the Yoni remains in its designated location as part of ongoing preservation efforts by both the community and the government. Its official status as a protected cultural heritage has been confirmed through the Semarang Regent Decree Number 432/0262/2022.
