Abstract
Seafarers or ship crew is a profession that is a valuable asset of Human Resources (HR) in controlling and operating the ship while sailing from one port to another. The ship's crew is also referred to as the ship's crew. The research method used by the author is descriptive qualitative. This research relates to the crew change process and becomes the theoretical basis in problem formulation, discussion, problem solving, and obtaining information data at the practice location. However, there are obstacles faced in the crew change process. These obstacles include the condition of the application used to record crew members who often experience delays and errors and limited accounts that can be accessed. Then the limited availability of crew members who standby on land which results in some crew members experiencing delays in the crew change process. To overcome this, PT Pertamina International Shipping is expected to create a new application to further optimize the crew change process and open vacancies in order to meet labor needs (ship crew) so that the crew change process can run more optimally.
