Efektivitas Metode Biowriting terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 32 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2024/2025

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the biowriting method on the poetry writing ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The population of this study was all class VIII of SMP Negeri 32 Medan totaling 149 students. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique, the selected classes were class VIII-5 consisting of 30 students as the experimental class and class VIII-4 consisting of 30 students as the control class. The research method used is a quantitative research method, with an experimental form with a two group post-test design type. The instrument used was an essay test. The results of this study indicate: 1) the ability to write poetry using the biowriting method in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year is included in the good category with an average score of 82.33. 2) the ability to write poetry using the lecture method in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year is included in the sufficient category with an average score of 57.16. 3) Based on the results of the analysis, Tcount = 8.48 with Ttable at a significance level of 0.05 and n = 30, Ttable = 2.04841 was obtained. Because Tcount > Ttable, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is concluded that biowriting media is effective on the poetry writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year.
