This research is motivated by the rampant cases of bullying that occur in Indonesia. This study links bullying in the film Munkar with the sociological study of Ian Watt's literature. The purpose of this study is to describe bullying that correlates with Ian Watt's theory. "Improvement of Short Story Writing Ability Through the Personal Experience of Class VIII Unismuh Junior High School Makassar". Thesis of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Makassar Muhammadiyah University.This type of research is a Class Action Research (Class Action Research) which aims to describe the improvement of short story writing skills through the personal experience of students of class Class VIII Unismuh Junior High School Makassar and describes the process of improving the ability to write short stories through the personal experience of the MA class Class VIII Unismuh Junior High School Makassar. The instruments used in data collection were tests, observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The data in this study are in the form of tesp there are 24 students and the results of observations in the learning process.The results showed that quantitatively there was an increase in the learning outcomes of short story writing through the personal experience of 24 students, namely on the pretest results, an average score of 56.63%. In the first cycle the average score of student learning outcomes was 68.13%, while the second cycle of student learning outcomes writing short stories through personal experience was 81.74%. In the first cycle, students who finished 9 students or 46.48% and categories of incomplete were 15 students or 53.52%. While in the second cycle category there were 21 students or 89.96% and the incomplete category were 3 people or 10.04% meaning that there was an increase of 13.61%.Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the results of learning to write short stories through the personal experience of students of class XI MA Darul Istiqamah Maccopa Maros Regency can be improved through students' personal experiences.

The purpose of improving the function of Indonesian to become an international language is to show the nation's identity and increase the nation's competitiveness. Indonesian has the potential to become an international language because of various factors such as the positive attitude of Indonesian speakers is characterized by Indonesians' pleasure to use Indonesian and has a sense of love, pride and loyalty to the Indonesian language. The movement of the role of Indonesian in the country and the internationalization of the Indonesian language are jointly supported by the promotion of good and correct use of the Indonesian language. This promotion needs to be prioritized to maintain the existence of language as a symbol of the identity of the Indonesian nation in global life. Therefore, various efforts are made as well as hard work and cooperation between language institutions, all elements of the government and the role of the wider community are strategic steps to realize the existence and role of the Indonesian language in the international world.

This article aims to analyze the representation of the journalist profession in the novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. Through Alfred Schutzl's representation theory approach, this study explores how the journalist profession is depicted in facing ethical, social, and professional challenges. The main focus of this study is on the character of Hanum who struggles to find sources, compose articles with sensitive themes, and face moral dilemmas amidst the issue of Islamophobia after the 9/11 tragedy. This study uses a qualitative method with text analysis to reveal the journalism process that Hanum undergoes as a reflection of the dynamics of the profession in the real world. The findings show that the journalist profession is depicted as a job that requires integrity, courage, and the ability to bridge different perspectives in stressful situations. This article is expected to provide insight into how literary works can represent the journalist profession and inspire further discussion on the role of journalism in shaping public perception.

This study explores the relationship between language, culture, and society, all three of which are interdependent and inseparable. Language and culture are integral components that shape the identity of a society, and language functions as a cultural mirror and social glue. The method used is a qualitative approach based on literature which aims to examine the importance of language and culture in forming community identity. The results of the study are then narrated in descriptive form. This research aims to study and understand the concept of culture and language about how cultural changes influence the evolution of language and shape the identity of a society. Language has also experienced changes with the emergence of pop culture phenomena (popular culture). These changes reflect societal trends and changes. By analyzing the interrelationships of language, culture and society, this research provides insight into the complex dynamics of identity formation and their implications for social cohesion.

Linguistics plays a crucial role in studying and understanding the structure of language, including in the context of Arabic. The Arabic language, with its complex system of morphology, syntax, and phonology, requires an in-depth linguistic approach to analyze its grammatical structure. This study aims to explore how linguistic theories, such as phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, contribute to understanding the basic structure of Arabic. Through linguistic approaches, a clearer and more structured understanding of sentence structure, word patterns, and the relationships between language elements can be achieved. This paper also discusses the challenges faced in applying linguistic theories to Arabic, as well as the importance of a linguistic approach in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The findings of this study are expected to provide broader insights into the role of linguistics in learning and teaching Arabic more effectively and systematically.

This study aims to analyze the representation of masculinity in Boy Candra's novel Trauma, particularly through male characters interacting with the protagonist, Kimara. This research employs the approaches of literary sociology, gender theory, and trauma theory to understand how masculinity is depicted. Data were collected through a critical reading technique applied to the novel's text. The analysis reveals that masculinity is represented in various forms, ranging from emotional dominance to expressions of affection, as well as the influence of trauma in shaping gender dynamics. These findings emphasize that masculinity in Trauma is not an innate trait but a social construct influenced by emotional and social contexts. The study contributes to gender studies and Indonesian literature, while also enhancing readers’ understanding of the complexity of masculinity in literary works.

The method used is qualitative. The data were collected through literature research and descriptive analysis that experienced affixation. This study found that the novel uses affixation, a linguistic process that involves adding affixes to the base form to produce new meanings. The study found that the use of affixes in the novel not only improves character descriptions but also increases the emotional depth of the story. The analysis results show that morphology plays an important role in shaping the meaning and characters in the story. It also shows that morphology reflects the social and cultural dynamics that women face in modern society. It is hoped that this research will enhance our understanding of how morphology is used in modern literary works.

Microteaching is a simulation or training for prospective teachers to explore the ability of skills in teaching that combines the components of learning. The purpose of this study was to analyse the implementation of microteaching learning in terms of the use of various biology learning media with a touch of technology. The method used is descriptive quantitative with observation sheets and interviews. This research uses a squential explanatory design that combines quantitative and qualitative methods sequentially the first stage of collecting and analysing quantitative data followed by collecting and analysing qualitative data to help explain quantitative results. The results of the study regarding the pattern of using technology-based learning media showed that PowerPoint 92% and learning videos 78% were the most widely used media in microteaching practice. While the level of effectiveness of the media used varies. The 4.6% digital microscope showed a high level of effectiveness even though the frequency of use was still low. This indicates that high technology-based learning media has considerable potential in improving the quality of learning. Furthermore, the analysis of students' digital competence shows that 70% of students have good to very good mastery of technology. Furthermore, creativity in media development shows an even distribution while time management is still a challenge for 35% of students at a sufficient or insufficient level. The use of technology-based learning media in micro teaching has considerable potential, but still faces several challenges. A systematic and comprehensive approach is needed to optimise the use of technology in developing the teaching competence of prospective biology teachers.

This article explores how bilingualism enhances cognitive flexibility, problem-solving skills, and cross-cultural communication abilities. Using findings from linguistic and sociocultural psychology studies, this research highlights the advantages of bilingualism in promoting intercultural understanding and adaptability in multilingual societies. It concludes that bilingual education plays an important role in global communication.

Folklore plays an important role as a medium for maintaining the cultural identity of indigenous communities. This article investigates the role of oral traditions in maintaining cultural heritage, focusing on folklore, myths and legends from indigenous communities in Asia. Through ethnographic research and narrative analysis, this study shows how folklore transmits values, beliefs and collective memory between generations, ensuring cultural sustainability amidst globalization.

Political discourse plays a very important role in shaping public opinion and reinforcing power structures in multicultural societies. This research applies Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine how language is used in political speeches to construct social hierarchies, national identities, and public perceptions. By analyzing speeches from leaders in diverse societies, this study highlights the use of rhetoric, metaphor, and persuasion strategies in influencing collective ideologies

Contemporary Southeast Asian literature reflects the complexity of postcolonial identities through themes of hybridity, resistance, and cultural negotiation. This article analyzes selected literary works from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines to explore how postcolonial narratives construct and deconstruct national and individual identities. Using postcolonial theory, this study reveals that literature serves as a medium to express the ongoing struggle between colonial legacies and the rise of local cultures.

The rapid development of digital media has significantly influenced the evolution of language in the 21st century. This study explores the impact of digital communication, including social media, memes, and online discourse, on linguistic changes such as neologisms, syntactic shifts, and informal language use. Using a sociolinguistic and discourse analysis approach, the findings of this study show that digital media accelerates language evolution by facilitating the rapid formation of new words and global linguistic trends.

The success and survival of MSMEs is highly dependent on their ability or capacity to manage finances effectively. However, many MSMEs experience obstacles as well as challenges so that they have difficulty in compiling correct and accurate financial statements due to limited access to resources and knowledge. This program aims to improve the ability of MSMEs in Kalitirto and Sukoharjo Villages to make simple financial statements. Through this program, it is hoped that MSMEs can understand the importance of financial statements and be able to calculate their business profits and losses. The method used is socialization to provide an understanding of the importance of financial statements for MSMEs, followed by training and assistance in the process of making them. This program can significantly contribute to improving the competence of MSMEs in the field of accounting, especially in terms of preparing financial statements.

This study analyses the morphological process in the news ‘Check out the Vision and Mission of 4 Candidates in West Java Gubernatorial Election 2024 in the Second Debate’ published by Detik News in the November 2024 edition. The purpose of this research is to find and understand the morphological structure used in the delivery of information related to the West Java governor election. The methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative approach. Information is collected through observation or observation done by reading the news and making notes. The results of the research show information on the use of affixation, namely the prefixes ber-, mem, men-, as well as the confixes me-kan, ke-an, pe-an, pe(r)-an. There is also information on the use of reduplication such as, children. And there is information on the use of composition such as the word new pair. It is intended that these findings can increase understanding of language use in the mass media.

The lack of critical thinking skills among students is one of the major issues in modern education systems. This study aims to analyze the weaknesses of traditional education systems that fail to provide space for the development of students' critical thinking skills and explore the relevance of Ivan Illich's critical education approach. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach to understand Illich's Deschooling Society concept and connect it to educational phenomena in Indonesia, such as the Merdeka Curriculum, homeschooling, and project-based schools. The findings show that Illich's critical education approach can be applied to modern education systems to create more inclusive, flexible, and empowering learning environments. Illich's learning webs concept is relevant for enhancing student engagement in learning and building their critical thinking abilities. This study recommends educational reform that focuses on individual empowerment, creativity development, and improving analytical skills to face global challenges.

The purpose of this activity is to develop digital marketing skills through training on the use of digital applications Canva and Capcut to promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in fish processing and tourism in the Fisherman Village located in Salira Village, Serang Regency. This activity aims for MSME entrepreneurs to enhance their skills in taking photos and videos, as well as processing these images and videos into more engaging, innovative, informative, and professional content.The method used in this activity involves training on the use of the Canva and Capcut applications with the theme "Application of CANVA and CAPCUT in Digital Marketing." The research results indicate a positive and significant improvement in marketing content compared to previous efforts. However, there are still challenges to address, such as the inadequate facilitation of supporting tools for content creation, which must be improved for the content produced to continue evolving for display on various digital marketing platforms.
