Assertive communication is a core competency for vocational high school (SMK) students, particularly those majoring in Online Business and Retail, whose future work demands strong interpersonal skills in customer service, negotiation, and teamwork. Classroom instruction in Indonesian vocational schools, however, still tends to privilege cognitive content over practical, contextual communication training. This study examines the effect of the role-playing technique on the assertive communication ability of twelfth-grade Online Business and Retail students at SMK Pasundan 1 Bandung. A quantitative survey approach is employed, with role playing—operationalized through three dimensions (role taking, role marking, and role negotiation) adapted from Zaini (2008)—as the independent variable, and assertive communication—operationalized through five dimensions adapted from Albert and Emmons (2001)—as the dependent variable. Given a population of 36 students, a saturated (census) sampling technique is used, so all members of the population serve as respondents. Data will be collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS, examining both the simultaneous effect of role playing on assertive communication and the partial effects of its three dimensions. The study is grounded in Bandura's (1977) Social Learning Theory, which posits that behavior is acquired through observation, modeling, and reinforcement. The anticipated outcome is empirical evidence on the effectiveness of role playing in strengthening assertive communication, together with practical recommendations for teachers and schools seeking to design more participatory, work-relevant instructional strategies.

The digital transformation of Indonesia's political landscape has created space for the emergence of a new populist narrative based on vertical social mobility. This study aims to analyze the construction of the "Anak Kampung" identity used by Bahlil Lahadalia as an instrument of political branding on social media. Using netnography and a four-level Cyber Media Analysis (AMS) tool, this study explores how past marginalized experiences—such as being a cake seller, a conductor, and a public transportation driver—are reconstructed into symbolic capital in the digital space. The results show that Bahlil carried out effective "impression management" through visual performativity and narratives of struggle, which succeeded in building affective loyalty among constituents across generations. However, this branding also faces challenges in the form of digital skepticism regarding academic integrity and controversial public policies. This study concludes that the success of political branding in the digital era depends heavily on actors' ability to navigate the logic of platform algorithms while maintaining a sense of authenticity.

Given the important objectives that banks strive to achieve through financial stability and their role in ensuring its continuity and ability to face various economic challenges, many have expanded their policies beyond their traditional functions by adopting a range of additional practices and activities that contribute to strengthening their developmental role in society. Among the most prominent of these practices are corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, which have become a crucial aspect of the work of contemporary financial institutions. In this context, this research highlights CSR practices in banks. It relied on a sample of nine Iraqi banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, which are characterized by their continued banking operations and regular publication of their annual financial reports. The research period was set from 2014 to 2023, and included a set of statistical tests that incorporated a number of financial determinants as control variables to determine their contribution to enhancing the impact of CSR when included alongside it, and to define the nature of the relationship between the research variables. We have reached a number of conclusions, most notably that when regulatory variables are included in the analysis model, this effect becomes statistically insignificant, which indicates that banks’ interest in internal financial factors still outweighs their interest in social aspects.

The selection process for accepting new employees is one of the important stages in a company to ensure that the candidates accepted have qualifications that suit the company's needs. At WINMART, the selection process is still carried out manually, so it is less efficient and prone to errors. Therefore, a system is needed that can assist in more objective and efficient decision making. This Decision Support System (DSS) is designed to assist the selection process for recruiting new employees using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, which can assess several relevant criteria, such as work experience, education, skills and competency tests. This system was built on a web basis, so it can be easily accessed by parties involved in the selection process, such as HRD and managers. The SAW method was chosen because of its ability to convert various subjective criteria into more objective numerical scores, so that selection results can be more transparent and accountable. By using this system, it is hoped that it can increase efficiency, accuracy and transparency in the new employee selection process at WINMART, as well as facilitate decision making in selecting candidates who best suit the desired criteria.
