This study aims to analyze visitors’ Willingness to Pay (WTP) and to estimate the economic value in supporting the development of Gunung Meja Nature Tourism Park (TWA) as a conservation area. This study employed the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) with a total of 156 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods to obtain the average WTP value and its distribution. The results showed that the average WTP of visitors was IDR 19,300 per person, with the highest distribution in the range of IDR 10,000–30,000 and a dominant value of IDR 20,000 (23%). The estimated economic value of the area based on WTP reached IDR 3,939,245,800 per year, which is higher than the actual revenue of IDR 2,755,431,000 per year. The difference of IDR 1,183,814,800 indicates a potential increase in revenue through tariff adjustment. These findings indicate that visitors have a higher willingness to pay compared to the current tariff. Therefore, the WTP value can be used as a basis for determining optimal tariff policies to support sustainable management of conservation areas and to maintain their ecological functions.

Environmental cleanliness is a critical factor in the effective management of nature-based tourist destinations, as it strongly shapes tourists’ perceptions of destination quality, comfort, and overall attractiveness, as well as their intention to visit and revisit. This study aims to examine the extent to which environmental cleanliness influences tourists’ visit intention in the Harau Valley tourism area (Lembah Harau), Kanagarian Tarantang, Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The research employed a quantitative survey method by distributing structured questionnaires to 50 tourists during their visit to Lembah Harau. The variables measured include tourists’ perceptions of environmental cleanliness, such as waste management practices, sanitation conditions, and the availability of waste disposal facilities, as well as visit intention indicators, including intention to return and willingness to recommend the destination to others. The findings highlight the importance of maintaining a clean environment to enhance tourists’ positive behavioral intentions. The implications of these findings suggest that destination managers and local government authorities should consistently enforce cleanliness policies, strengthen integrated waste management systems, and provide adequate sanitation facilities to enhance the attractiveness of Lembah Harau and support sustainable tourism development, without neglecting the need for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement in these areas.

This research positions tourism as a key driver for rural economic transformation via the Community-Based Ecotourism model. Lubuk Langkap Nature Tourism Village, South Bengkulu, has excellent natural assets (pristine), such as clear rivers and tropical forests, supported by good social capital. However, this potential is structurally constrained by a Severe Institutional Crisis within the Village-Owned Enterprise, marked by informal management, lack of standard accounting, and vulnerability to moral hazard risk (misconduct). The Main Thesis asserts that this institutional crisis is not merely a technical issue but a major root problem that weakens Social Capital, damages community Capability, and risks permanent environmental damage. The study uses in-depth strategic analysis focusing on the New Institutional Economics and an integrated SWOT framework, employing interpretive descriptive qualitative methods. The analysis formulates an integrated Community-Based Ecotourism development strategy within a Governance framework that is Strengthened by Risk a system designed to become more resilient when facing shocks (moral hazard risk). The Integrated Action Strategy includes: (1) Establishing Exclusive Village-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Control Rights over the entrance gate and Environmental Carrying Capacity; (2) Implementing a physical Daily Public Financial Dashboard to prevent misconduct; and (3) Legalizing Village Regulations (Perdes) on Conservation Zoning and Maximum Daily Visitor Limits. Implementing a Niche Premium Operational Business Plan (OBP), detailing a High Pricing Strategy (including a Conservation Fee) and a fair Proportional Revenue Sharing Formula, is key to achieving improved welfare and ecological sustainability in South Bengkulu.

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing sustainable tourism management principles in the management of Citumang Nature Tourism, Bojong Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. This management not only emphasizes the utilization of economic value, but must also pay attention to the preservation of the natural environment, socio-cultural values and aspects, and the active involvement of the local community. This aims to ensure that the benefits of Citumang's existence can be felt by all levels of society. The purpose of this study is to determine the form and effectiveness of collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community in managing this nature tourism. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature studies and field studies. Data analysis is carried out in three stages, namely data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of the study indicate that the collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community still faces several obstacles. Problems identified include the lack of official licenses or professional guide certificates for tour guides, an unclear organizational structure resulting in weak coordination between the village government and tour guide groups, limited proactive leadership, which reduces community motivation and participation in tourism development, low community involvement in the planning and implementation of tourism activities, and a lack of effective promotion to attract visitors. These conditions have resulted in the suboptimal development of Citumang's tourism potential as a leading regional destination. This study recommends the establishment of a clear organizational structure, increased human resource capacity through guide training and certification, strengthening the role of visionary and inclusive leadership, increasing community participation in all stages of tourism management, and implementing creative and targeted promotional strategies. This will enable Citumang's nature tourism management to be more effective, sustainable, and provide optimal benefits for all stakeholders.

The research findings show that the geographical uniqueness of Lake Toba as a tourist destination offers opportunities for enriching relevant vocabulary for BIPA learners. In addition, the cultural elements typical of Lake Toba, such as traditions, arts, and customs, are rich learning resources in supporting language and culture teaching simultaneously. To maximize this potential, teaching materials are developed through interactive modules, learning videos, and virtual tours that present an immersive learning experience. This approach not only improves learners' language skills but also creates a deep emotional connection with the material, because learners can experience the beauty of Indonesian culture directly through the media provided.

This research aims to identify factors that influence tourists' interest in revisiting the Aslan Hill natural tourist attraction. The methodology used is to use a quantitative approach with data obtained from the results of questionnaires that have been distributed to the sample (research respondents) totaling 96 people. Through quantitative analysis with the help of Smart PLS software. 4, this study found that although the three independent variables (tourism facilities, price perception, and destination image) had a positive relationship with revisit intention, only price perception and destination image had a statistically significant influence.
