This community service program at the Class I Correctional Facility SAE L’SIMA Malang was designed to address the urgent need for effective vocational skills development among inmates through productive poultry farming activities. One of the key challenges in poultry farming is the low success rate of egg hatching when relying on conventional, manually operated incubators that often lack precise temperature and humidity control. To overcome this problem, the program introduced the development and implementation of an automatic incubator system as a technological innovation to support both learning and productivity. The program employed a participatory approach, beginning with preliminary site surveys to identify existing resources and limitations within the correctional facility. Subsequently, the team carried out the design and assembly of an automatic egg incubator equipped with a digital system to monitor and regulate temperature and humidity levels. Functional testing was conducted using both chicken and duck eggs to ensure reliability and applicability across different types of poultry. In addition to the incubator prototype, the program also produced a practical user manual to guide inmates in operating and maintaining the equipment independently. The results demonstrated that the automatic incubator significantly improved the hatching success rate compared to traditional manual methods, despite initial challenges such as limited availability of components, restricted funding, and the reliance on outdated manual equipment. The inmates showed high levels of participation and adaptability in learning the operation of the new system, highlighting the potential of this program to enhance not only technical competence but also self-confidence. In conclusion, this initiative successfully integrated vocational training with technological innovation, offering a sustainable and practical solution for small to medium-scale poultry operations. Beyond improving technical skills, the program has broader social implications by equipping inmates with marketable competencies that can support their reintegration into society and contribute to their economic independence after release.

Worms are an infectious disease caused by parasites in the form of worms. According to data from the Papua Province Health Service in 2011, the number of worm cases was 528.8 per 1,000 population, while in the Jayapura City Health Service the number of worm cases in 2011 was 2.48 per 1,000 population. According to data from the Abe Pantai Community Health Center, the prevalence of worms in 2012 was 3.21 per 1,000 population. The prevalence in Hedam Community Health Center, Waena Community Health Center and Kotaraja Community Health Center in 2012 was 1.94 per 1,000 population, 1.25 per 1,000 population, 0.94 per 1,000 population, respectively. Vegetables that are eaten directly are at risk of being contaminated by various types of parasites during planting, harvesting and marketing and have the potential for transmission of infection to humans. This study aims to determine whether or not there is contamination with STH (Soil transmitted helminth) worm eggs contained in fresh vegetables from roadside tent stalls in Abepura District. The type of research used is descriptive research using a laboratory approach. The research sample was 20 samples of roadside tent stall traders in Abepura District taken using Random Sampling Technique. The method for examining worm eggs uses the Sedimentation method. The results of identification of worm eggs in fresh vegetables sold by roadside stall vendors in Abepura District showed that there was worm egg contamination found in 20 samples of fresh vegetables, with 8 samples contaminated or 40% and 12 samples or 60% not contaminated with worm eggs Soil transmitted helminth. The types of Soil Transmitted Helminth worm egg species found were Ascaris lumbricoides (35%), Trichuris trichiura (30%) and Hookworm (30%)

. Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) is a group of intestinal nematode worms that require soil for the maturation process so that there is a change from a non-infective stage to an infective stage. This study aims to find out whether in the coastal sand area of Sekupang District, Batam City, there are intestinal nematode eggs of the Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) group. The method used in this study is a survey method by taking sand samples from 3 different beaches, namely Tanjung Pinggir beach, Dangas beach, and Marina beach, then the sample is examined, namely by soaking the sample with 15 ml of saturated NaCl for 30 minutes stirring until evenly distributed with a stirring rod then transferred the soaking water in a test tube. Deck glass is placed on top at the mouth of the tube for 60 minutes. Then the sample was observed under a microscope with a magnification of 10 to 40 then analyzed descriptively by making a picture systematically. The results showed that there were no intestinal nematode worm eggs of the STH group in the beach sand sample so that it could be concluded that the tannjung beach sand area of Sekupang District, Batam City was free from contamination of intestinal nematode worm eggs of the soil transmitted helmith (STH) group.

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) has a number of favorable characteristics, such as reproducing easily, rapid growth, resistance to sub-ideal environmental conditions, and survival in high salt water. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the reproductive biology of tilapia in Indonesian waters. This research method is in the form of secondary data which is used as the main source in the descriptive approach of literature review studies. The results showed that male tilapia grew faster than female tilapia, and female tilapia required a greater amount of energy for the maturation of its eggs. Female tilapia has a higher gonad maturity index than male tilapia in Indonesian waters. Types of tilapia vary. With a size of ± 3 mm, the diameter of tilapia eggs is very diverse.

Naturally, a mother hen incubates her eggs until they hatch completely. However, the success rate of natural hatching is low, and hatching can be completed with a maximum of 10 eggs. Chicken farming, more specifically the chicken egg hatching system, breeders usually use an incubator for the process of hatching chicken eggs. In the incubator, there is a lamp that has been provided which is used for the process of warming the eggs so that the eggs can hatch properly and of good quality with incandescent lamps. In general, the process of hatching eggs often encounters problems or obstacles. The obstacle that is often experienced when hatching chicken eggs is that the incubator only uses incandescent lights. Therefore, to avoid this problem, a microcontroller was designed to overcome this problem. This tool is a combination of a microcontroller with an Arduino-based temperature and humidity sensor. With this tool, after the eggs hatch, when the lights are off, the sensor can read the output in the form of the incubator temperature, which is detected by the Arduino serial display. Design methods and experimental methods were used in this research. Tool testing is divided into three types, namely temperature testing, humidity testing and egg load testing. The result of this research is an automatic egg incubator machine that uses Arduino. Several electronic components used in the incubator are Arduino,

In the development of increasingly developed technology and the demands of the community's needs for infrastructure facilities, it also affects the development of a construction field. This is also no exception in the manufacture of mortar which is used as a non-structural material in buildings. In making mortar itself, it is also influenced by developing technological developments, one of the types affected is pozzolan mortar. Pozzolan mortar has added materials derived from nature or industrial waste. In Indonesia, waste from eggshells is increasing every year, because eggshells are one of the people's favorite food ingredients. The eggshells have contain calcium carbonate (CaCO3) compound which is an element than cement. The materials of making the mortar itself are water, cement, and sand.  This research aims to utilize egg shell waste as an added material in mortar with variations in the percentage of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% eggshell powder. From the results obtained, the addition of eggshell powder at maximum compressive strength lies at a percentage of 15% of 300 MPa.
