A crane is a mechanical device used to move loads from one location to another, with gantry cranes being one of the most commonly used types in the industrial sector, particularly at container terminals. While offering numerous benefits, the use of gantry cranes also presents several risks, such as potential structural failure of the crane, falling loads due to damage to hooks or ropes, and collisions with other objects. Additionally, lifting loads beyond the crane’s capacity can lead to equipment damage and even fatal accidents caused by electric shocks or adverse weather conditions like strong winds and rain. This study aims to identify and minimize workplace accident risks by applying the SWIFT (Structured What-If Technique) method. This method identifies hazards through the "what if" approach and evaluates risks using the Risk Rating Number (RRN), which measures the severity and likelihood of potential hazards. The results of this study show that ARTG and STS gantry cranes have 25% of hazards in the priority one category, while RTG has 20% of hazards in the same priority. From these findings, it can be concluded that risk mitigation should be focused on the ARTG and STS types, which show higher risk proportions. The recommendations from this study are to enhance safety procedures, provide continuous training for operators, and conduct regular crane maintenance to reduce the potential for accidents. By implementing these mitigation measures, it is hoped that workplace safety will be maintained and the risk of workplace accidents at the Semarang Container Terminal can be minimized.

This paper aims to understand "Container Handling and Arrangement" and to explore various aspects of Container Handling and Arrangement at PT. Terminal Peti Kemas (TPK) Pelindo Belawan in the context of modern logistics industry. It will discuss the latest methods and technologies used in container management, as well as their impact on operational efficiency and cost reduction. Container handling and arrangement are critical components in international trade, requiring careful planning and implementation. By investing in new equipment, implementing automation technologies, developing efficient logistics systems, and providing training and development programs, ports can improve efficiency and effectiveness in container handling and arrangement. The data used in this research are primary data obtained through field observations, direct interviews with company personnel, and secondary data collected from books, journals in libraries, and other reading sources related to the subject matter. One of the main challenges in container handling is managing limited storage space.

This study aims to analyze the reliability and performance of Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes using the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Inherent Availability (IA) methods. The MTTR method is used to measure the average time required for repairs, while MTBF calculates the average time between failures. Meanwhile, the IA method assesses the inherent availability of the equipment based on the previous two parameters. The results indicate that some RTG units experience high MTTR, such as RTG035-12, which recorded a repair time of 124.15 hours in January, and RTG035-13 with 441.23 hours in February. On the other hand, RTG035-19 demonstrated more stable performance with low MTTR in several months. In terms of MTBF, RTG035-16 recorded the lowest value of 0 hours in July, indicating significant disruptions, whereas RTG035-12 exhibited the best performance with the highest MTBF of 614 hours in December. The IA analysis revealed that some RTGs had low values, such as RTG035-13, which only reached 0.312 in February, while RTG035-19 maintained values above 0.95 throughout the year, demonstrating high reliability. This study provides insights into the performance of RTG equipment at the Semarang Container Terminal (TPKS) and emphasizes the need for effective maintenance strategies to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

Pengelolaan kinerja forklift di Gudang Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang memiliki peran penting dalam keefektifan stripping barang impor Less Container Load (LCL). Tujuan penelitian (1) mengetahui hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata availability ratio pada kinerja forklift dalam kegiatan stripping di Gudang Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang, (2) mengetahui hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata performance ratio pada kinerja forklift dalam kegiatan stripping di Gudang Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang, (3) mengetahui hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata quality ratio pada kinerja forklift dalam kegiatan stripping di Gudang Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang, (4) mengetahui hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) di Gudang Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) melalui tahapan-tahapan perhitungan (1) perhitungan data penurunan waktu forklift tahun 2023 (2) perhitungan nilai availability ratio (3) perhitungan nilai performance ratio, (4) perhitungan nilai quality ratio, (5) perhitungan nilai indeks Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Nilai rata-rata availability ratio adalah -0,1616666 %, dimana standar JIPM > 90 %, sehingga hasil menunjukkan ketersediaan forklift tahun 2023 rendah. Penyebabnya bulan Juni forklift mengalami kerusakan mpu board sehingga menjalani perbaikan selama 720 jam untuk waiting part modul fet fm dan board comp dan bulan Juli forklift mengalami kerusakan mesin forklift sehingga menjalani perbaikan selama 744 jam. Nilai rata-rata performance ratio adalah 106,7925 %, dimana standar JIPM > 95 %, sehingga hasil menunjukkan forklift memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam pengangkutan produk. Nilai rata-rata quality ratio adalah 100 %, dimana standar JIPM > 99 %, menunjukkan kualitas pengangkutan barang baik. Nilai indeks Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) adalah 9,99483 %, dimana standar JIPM > 85 %, menunjukkan produksi memiliki nilai yang rendah.

The aim of this research is to determine the performance of TRT from 2021 to 2023, identify the causes and impacts of TRT that exceeds the standard set time. The research design used is descriptive research with a mixed methods approach (qualitative )The type of data used is qualitative and quantitative data presented in numbers and sentences that support the author's opinion in analyzing this research. Data sources in this research are divided into primary data sources obtained from interviews, observations and literature studies and secondary data sources obtained from company data in the form of throughput data, TRT for 2021 to 2023, printed books, journals and the internet. The results of this research are that the TRT performance at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya is good because in 2021 to 2023 the dominant number of trucks at the TRT was less than 30 minutes, although there could be indications of a decline in performance. This decline in performance is indicated by an increase in the number of trucks from 2021 to 2023 on TRT of more than 30 minutes. The causes of TRT exceeding the standard determination time are density factors in the stacking yard, equipment factors (service and availability), human resource factors and natural factors. The negative impact of TRT that exceeds the standard set time is disruption of loading and unloading activities, internal company losses and decreased customer loyalty. Suggestions that can be used in overcoming TRT (Truck Round Time) problems are that good coordination is needed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), good improvisation from human resources, systems and equipment as well as yard planners carrying out various plan innovations by shortening slots so that RTG movements are not too displacement length.

Pelabuhan merupakan bagian dari suatu sistem kompleks yang bertujuan untuk menjaga rantai logistik agar berjalan lancar.Seluruh aktivitas operasional di area kerja pelabuhan tentu tidak lepas dari adanya risiko kecelakaan dan keadaan darurat lainnya, tak terkecuali Terminal Petikemas. Adapun risiko yang mungkin terjadi di antaranya kelalaian operator, kesalahan dalam menjalankan prosedur, ataupun kebakaran. perusahaan dengan risiko tinggi wajib memiliki sistem tanggap darurat beserta organisasi tanggap darurat.Maka dari itu fokus pada penelitian kali ini adalah pada salah satu Perusahaan Jasa Petikemas di Surabaya. Proses kerja di perusahaan ini tentu terkait penanganan container dengan berbagai jenis muatan. Container ini kemudian diletakkan pada lapangan penumpukan petikemas yang memiliki risiko tinggi akan terjadinya kebakaran. Setelah dilakukan observasi, pada masing-masing CY telah tersedia Fire Hydrant dengan kondisi berupa rusaknya bagian-bagian hidran, kurang mencakupnya pemanfaatan hidran ke seluruh area, serta titik lokasi penempatan hidran yang tidak maksimal. Maka dari itu, penulis melakukan kajian lebih lanjut terkait kondisi sistem tanggap darurat di Lapangan Penumpukan Petikemas dan melakukan perancangan ulang penempatan hidran di Container Yard.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif di mana setelah  pengambilan data maka dilakukan analisis terhadap tingkat risiko kebakaran dan selanjutnya perhitungan dan perancangan ulang kebutuhan hidran. Hasil penilaian risiko menunjukkan tingkat risiko kebakaran tingkat tinggi pada CY 01, serta tingkat sedang di CY 02 dan CY 03. Kondisi hidran di Terminal Petikemas di Surabaya memiliki beberapa ketidaksesuaian yang harus dilakukan perbaikan dengan penggantian bagian serta pemeliharaan berkala. Selanjutnya pada perhitungan kebutuhan hidran di area Container Yard menghasilkan dibutuhkannya penambahan 3 pilar hidran serta 2 sambungan hose di CY 01, serta penambahan 3 pilar hidran dan 2 sambungan hose di CY 02.

Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI) is a terminal port that serves container loading and unloading services at the port. One of the hazards that threaten the loading and unloading industry is the danger of fire. Fires can cause a lot of material and non-material losses. Efforts that can be made to minimize the danger and impact of fires are the implementation of an efficient and optimal emergency response system in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the emergency response system in an effort to prevent and control fires in the PT. Berlian Terminal Services Indonesia. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, with primary data sourced from direct observation and interviews, while secondary data obtained through a literature study of company documents. This research will explain how the implementation of the fire emergency response system in PT. Berlian Terminal Services Indonesia. The result of this research is that it can be concluded that PT. Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia has implemented a fire emergency response system in accordance with applicable regulations and standards, but there are still things that need to be optimized, such as the implementation of APAR inspections that are late in their implementation and the lack of intensity in fire emergency response simulations.

Tingginya arus petikemas dan keterbatasan luas lapangan penumpukan terminal petikemas di Tanjung Priok menghasruskan terminal petikemas untuk menekan dwelling time. Dwelling time adalah waktu bongkar muat peti kemas yang dilakukan dari kapal sampai petikemas keluar dari pelabuhan. Proses dwelling time di pelabuhan yaitu pre-clearance, customs clearance, dan post-clearance. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dwelling time yang terjadi di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (1) Mengetahui faktor penyebab lamanya dwelling time; (2) Mengetahui dampak dwelling time. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dan studi literatur, data yang dibutuhkan dapat diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik serta website. Faktor- faktor penyebab dwelling time pada umumnya adalah adanya 2 jalur utama Bea Cukai dalam proses pengeluaran peti kemas impor yakni jalur merah dan jalur hijau. Menurut Asngadi (2017) menyatakan jalur merah adalah perlakuan pabean atas Pemberitahuan Impor Barang (PIB). Tingginya dweliing time dipelabuhan Tanjung Priok sudah lama dialami oleh pemilik barang.

The flow of containers through Tanjung Emas Port is increasing, this can be seen from the growth of loading and unloading containers from year to year. The condition of the flow of containers is inseparable from the improvement of services at the Container Terminal of Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang through the provision of supporting facilities and infrastructure. With the growth of the container flow which is quite high, the condition of existing facilities, infrastructure and operating systems needs to be reviewed whether the operation is optimal or its performance is still possible to improve, or it is time to add infrastructure and facilities to anticipate future transportation demand. will come. Smooth loading and unloading aims to improve good service in the activities and services of the loading and unloading process of containers according to operational standards. There are several factors that cause the smooth loading and unloading of containers, such as those related to the condition of loading and unloading equipment, the performance of human resources, operations and the environment. In this study, four research variables will be analyzed, namely loading and unloading equipment, human resources, operations and anticipation of natural factors as independent variables and loading and unloading smoothness as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the positive influence both individually between the independent variables of loading and unloading equipment, human resources, operations, anticipation of natural factors on the dependent variable, namely the smoothness of loading and unloading. In this study, the object taken is the user of loading and unloading services at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. Sources of data include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this study was 100 respondents. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression technique. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis, the following equations are generated:   Y= -0,504 + 0,264.X1 + 0,203.X2 + 0,323.X3 + 0,249.X4 + µ   From the results of the multiple regression study, it shows that the most dominant variable affecting the smooth loading and unloading is the operational variable with a regression coefficient of 0.323. . With the Adjusted R 2 test, a result of 0.644 or 64.4% was obtained. Simultaneously, the variables of loading and unloading equipment, human resources, operations and natural conditions factors had an effect of 64.4% on the smooth loading and unloading and 35.6% were influenced by research variables that were not detected in this study.
