Dengue fever remains a major global health challenge, particularly in tropical regions, due to the high transmission of Dengue virus by Aedes aegypti and the limited sustainability of current control strategies. Artocarpus odoratissimus, an endemic Bornean plant, contains diverse secondary metabolites with potential pharmacological activities; however, a systematic synthesis of its biomedical relevance to Dengue is still lacking. This study aimed to systematically evaluate the biomedical potential of A. odoratissimus in Dengue prevention and control through a systematic literature review. This study employed a systematic literature review method following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature searches were conducted in Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, PubMed, Google Scholar, Garuda, SINTA, and other relevant scientific databases for publications from January 2016 to February 2026. A total of 303 records were identified, and after duplicate removal, title and abstract screening, and full-text eligibility assessment, 23 studies were included for narrative synthesis. The findings revealed that A. odoratissimus contains major bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, phenolics, arylbenzofurans, stilbenoids, and prenylated chalcones, which demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and potential antiviral activities based on in vitro and molecular docking studies. Fruit peel, seeds, and stem bark exhibited the strongest biological evidence, particularly in reducing oxidative stress, inhibiting inflammatory mediators, and potentially interacting with Dengue viral target proteins. Furthermore, several species within the Artocarpus genus showed larvicidal and ovicidal activities against Aedes aegypti, highlighting the potential development of A. odoratissimus as a plant-based biolarvicide candidate.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide and is largely caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection, particularly types 16 and 18. The development of this cancer is influenced by the E6 and E7 oncoproteins, which disrupt the function of p53 and Rb proteins, as well as the involvement of cellular signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT/mTOR and EGFR. Limitations of conventional therapies, such as resistance and side effects, drive the need for more targeted and selective therapeutic agents. This study aims to analyze the main molecular targets of cervical cancer and the medicinal chemistry approaches used in its therapeutic development. The method involved a review of 12 open access articles using molecular docking, molecular dynamics, QSAR, and network pharmacology approaches. The findings identified two main target groups: viral targets comprising the HPV E6 and E7 oncoproteins, and cellular targets including the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, EGFR, PARP1, CDK1, and VEGFR. Various medicinal chemistry strategies, from structure-based and ligand-based drug design to multi-target network pharmacology approaches, proved effective in identifying potential inhibitor candidates. Bioactive compounds such as quercetin, gossypol, bixin, and rutin demonstrated stable interactions with these targets. However, further experimental validation is needed to support the development of clinically effective and safe therapies.

Data on malnutrition in toddlers at the Amondo Health Center in 2023 were 47 toddlers, then in 2024 from early January to November, malnutrition data increased by 64 toddlers. This study aims to determine the Risk Factors for Malnutrition in Toddlers in the Working Area of ​​the Amondo Health Center, South Palangga District, South Konawe Regency in 2025. The design of this study is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was all toddlers registered in the working area of ​​the Amondo Health Center, South Palangga District, South Konawe Regency in 2024 with a total of 966 people. The sampling used was Accidental Sampling. To obtain a representative sample, the selection of subjects from each stratum or certain region was determined in a balanced or comparable manner in each matched region. The sample size used was 91 respondents. The data were analyzed using the SPSS application with the Odds Ratio test. The OR test results obtained knowledge values ​​(OR = 1.08), eating habits (OR = 0.70), family income (OR = 1.10), carbohydrate intake (OR = 2.47), protein intake (OR = 0.91) and fat intake (OR = 1.30). The conclusion that maternal knowledge, children's eating habits, family income, and nutrient intake (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) in the past are risk factors for malnutrition. It is recommended that health workers always provide information about malnutrition to the community, carry out vegetable planting movements in the community, do not carelessly give food to toddlers, always consume and provide nutritious food for the family

Biofloc technology is a super-intensive fish cultivation method, which benefits heterotrophic bacteria to harvest organic chemical compounds and amines from fish metabolic residues to be converted into bacterial proteins. The use of probiotics is very important to be carried out in cultivation activities, Probiotics are living microorganisms that have a beneficial effect on humans by balancing the microflora in their intestines. The bacteria in probiotics have a mechanism in forming several enzymes for feed digestion. This study aims to determine the effect of administering Pro Top probiotics with different doses on the absolute weight growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Probiotics are mixed with feed with a biofloc cultivation system. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, namely by adding different doses to the treatment. Treatment A (0.5 grams / kg), B (1 gram / kg), C (2 grams / kg) and D (5 grams / kg). The parameters observed are absolute weight growth. Supporting parameters for air quality are temperature, pH, and DO. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. Based on the results of the study, it shows that administering different doses of Pro Top probiotics has a significant effect on the absolute weight growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Treatment A (0.5 grams/kg) gave the lowest absolute weight growth of 31.05 grams and treatment D (5 grams/kg) gave the highest absolute weight growth of 40.30 grams. Air quality parameters including air temperature ranged from 25.3 – 26.1°C, acidity level around 7.5 – 8.0. And dissolved oxygen ranged from 4.7 – 5.3 ppm. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) of the three air quality parameters showed no difference between the treatments of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).

Background: Pentol is a round-shaped snack that is popular with elemtary school children with a savory taste, affordable price, and easy to find in the school environment. However, uncontrolled consumption of pentol raises concerns about fat and sodium chloride (NaCl) content. Objective: This study aims to determine the levels of fat and NaCl contained in pentol snacks sold at Tondo Urban Village Elementary School, PaluCity. Method: This study used a Complate Random Design (RAL) on five pentol samples in five elementary school in Tondo Village, with two repetitions. Fat content was analyzed by the Soxhlet method, While sodium chloride (NaCl) content was analyzed by Mohr titration. The data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Findings: The fat content in five pentol sampels at Tondo Urban Village Elementary School ranged from 2,16-4,75% (maximum SNI limit of 10%), while sodium chloride content was 1,55-2,15% (maximum SNI limit of 2,5%). Statistical tests (p=0,4>0.05) showed no significant difference between samples. Although still below the SNI limit, the fat and sodium content is quite high for school children’s snacks. Conclusion: The fat and NaCl content of pentol sancks at Tondo Urban Village Elementary School, Palu City is still below the SNI limit, but the consumption of these snacks need to be limited. Implications: it is hoped that there will be further researchers who analyzed carbhohydrates, proteins and other additives such as preservatives in pentol snacks.

This literature review synthesizes a wide range of research findings that examine the role of auxin distribution direction in regulating leaf primordium patterning, known as phyllotaxis, in Arabidopsis thaliana. The reviewed studies consistently indicate that phyllotaxis represents a highly coordinated growth regulation mechanism that is primarily governed by Polar Auxin Transport (PAT), which is mediated by Pin-Formed (PIN) auxin efflux proteins. The polarity and spatial localization of PIN proteins generate dynamic auxin gradients within the shoot apical meristem, and these gradients function as key positional signals that determine the precise sites where new leaf primordia are initiated. Furthermore, auxin distribution is not regulated solely by PAT but is tightly integrated with genetic, cellular, and mechanical cues. Several studies highlight the role of transcription factors such as TMO5 in influencing PIN1 convergence and reinforcing auxin maxima at primordium initiation sites. In addition, the interaction between PIN polarity and the orientation of cortical microtubules suggests that mechanical stress and cytoskeletal organization contribute to the stability and directionality of auxin flow. Comparative analysis of the literature demonstrates that PAT and PIN proteins operate through interconnected mechanisms to control auxin distribution direction, which ultimately shapes the spatial arrangement and regularity of leaf primordium patterns. Overall, this review emphasizes the complexity and integration of hormonal, genetic, and mechanical signals in controlling phyllotaxis in plants.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of bee pollen addition on the chemical composition of cow’s milk–based jelly candy. Bee pollen is a natural product rich in proteins, minerals, and bioactive compounds, which may enhance the nutritional value of food products. The research was conducted at the Dairy Technology Laboratory, Department of Animal Product Technology, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya, from June to August 2025. The research method used was a laboratory experiment using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) ANOVA with 4 treatments and 4 replications. If different results were obtaindes between treatments, Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was continued. Four treatments were applied: T0 (control, without bee pollen), T1 (6%), T2 (12%), and T3 (19%). The results demonstrated that bee pollen supplementation had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on the protein content (Kjeldahl method), moisture content (Gravimetri method), ash content (Dry Ashing method), and carbohydrate content (By Different method), but showed no significant effect (P>0.05) on fat content (Soxhlet method). Protein content increased from 16.83% to 19.30%, moisture content increased from 29.56% to 34.30%, while ash content exhibited a fluctuating trend. Conversely, carbohydrate content decreased from 52.90% to 45.19%. Overall, the addition of bee pollen improved the nutritional quality and functional potential of milk-based jelly candy, particularly as a natural source of protein and minerals.

Hawthorn extract has been used for ameliorating cardiac disorders and pulmonary hypertension. The main chemical constituents of hawthorn flavonoid extract (HFE) include flavonoids (1-2%), oligomeric proanthocyanidins (1-3%), and other bioactive components (e.g., triterpene acids, organic acids, sterols, and cardioactive amines). These compounds are reported to have many pharmacological effects, including neuroprotective, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, and nephroprotective effects. This study was aimed the analysis Crataegus oxyacantha based on a bioinformatic study and toxicity test on the chicken embryo. This method consisted of analysis of the three-dimensional structure of Crataegus oxyacantha Protein, Epitope and Allergen Proteins, Crataegus oxyacantha Proteins that were antigens and toxins and toxicity test on the chicken embryo. The results of research conducted on 3 three-dimensional structures of Crataegus oxyacantha protein, GQME value and QmeanDisCo value. In addition, this study also obtained the results of proteins that are epitope, antigenic, non-allergenic and non-toxic and toxicity test on the chicken embryo was 250 ng/egg..Morphological description of the embryo on the 21st day after injection, at a concentration of 250 ng of Crataegus oxyacantha /egg product, an abnormal embryological picture was obtained. Oxidative stress-induced apoptosis and chromatin instability are usually associated with male infertility and undermine the sperm DNA integrity. Recently, Vitamin K₂ (menaquinone) became a bioactive compound whose regulation action can be found in both apoptosis and transcriptional signaling. This study examines how Vitamin K₂ can be protective in the regulation of apoptotic pathways and stability in sperm chromatin by an integrative experimental and in silico analysis. Vitamin K₂ levels, DNA fragmentation level of infertile men's serum and semen samples (Aniline Blue), and the expression levels of apoptosis-associated genes (BAX, BCL-2, and CASP-3) in the samples were examined by qRT-PCR. The characterization of Vitamin K₂ binding affinity to apoptotic proteins was done using dynamics simulations. Findings showed that high levels of Vitamin K₂ had a significant positive correlation with reduced levels of DNA fragmentation and good control of apoptotic genes with reduced BAX and CASP-3 and increased expression of BCL-2. In general, the results indicate Vitamin K₂ as a potential regulator of sperm death and chromatin integrity that provides new therapeutic understanding on how male infertile patients can be treated.

In Iranian Traditional Medicine, some herbs like Achillea millefolium, commonly known as yarrow, are implicated as appetite enhancers. However, there is not enough research evidence to prove their actual effect. Achillea millefolium is a dicot which belongs to the family Asteraceae. The purpose of this study was the analysis Achillea millefolium based on a bioinformatic study and toxicity test on the chicken embryo. This research method consisted of conversion of nucleotides into amino acids, analysis of the three-dimensional structure of Achillea millefolium protein, epitope and Allergen Proteins, antigens and toxins and toxicity test on the chicken embryo. In addition, this study also obtained the results of proteins that are epitope, antigenic, non-allergenic and non-toxic and toxicity test on the chicken embryo was 250 ng/egg.. Morphological description of the embryo on the 21st day after injection, at a concentration of 250 ng of Mentha piperita/egg product, an abnormal embryological picture was obtained. Diabetes Mellitus is a complication caused by severe disturbances, particularly in the metabolic composition of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the body. The level of patient compliance in taking medication is one of the factors that determine the success of diabetes mellitus therapy. Compliance with treatment plays a crucial role in controlling metabolic conditions, especially in diabetes mellitus patients. The impact of non-compliance with medication in type II diabetes mellitus patients will increase uncontrolled blood sugar levels, which can lead to various complications of organ damage. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between medication compliance and blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Harapan Anda Islamic Hospital in Tegal City. This study used a quantitative cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 58 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used univariate and bivariate analysis (chi-square). Characteristics of 58 patients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus at Harapan Anda Islamic General Hospital, Tegal City, most of them are aged 46-60 years, with female gender, with most of them having junior high school education, some with working status, with a duration of suffering for >5 years, most with moderate medication adherence and most with normal blood sugar levels. There is a relationship between medication adherence and blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Harapan Anda Islamic General Hospital, Tegal City (0.000). It is hoped that it can provide valuable information for diabetes sufferers about the importance of medication adherence to blood sugar levels so that blood sugar levels can be controlled.

Warfarin (commonly known by its trade name, Coumadin) is an oral anticoagulant that has been widely used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders. Despite its clinical benefits, warfarin therapy is complicated by a very narrow therapeutic index and wide inter-individual variability in dose requirements. This variability represents a major challenge for clinicians, as inappropriate dosing may lead to serious adverse outcomes such as bleeding or thrombotic events. A growing body of evidence suggests that genetic polymorphisms are among the most important factors contributing to this variability, particularly those involving the Vitamin K Epoxide Reductase Complex Subunit 1 (VKORC1) gene. VKORC1 encodes a key enzyme that functions as a bottleneck in the vitamin K cycle, playing an essential role in the regeneration of reduced vitamin K (VKH). This active form of vitamin K is required for the γ-carboxylation of vitamin K–dependent clotting factors, including prothrombin and other coagulation proteins. Polymorphisms within VKORC1 can significantly alter the enzyme’s expression and activity, thereby modifying an individual’s sensitivity to warfarin. One of the most clinically relevant variants is the -1639G>A (rs9923231) polymorphism, which reduces VKORC1 transcription and subsequently decreases enzyme activity. Patients carrying the A allele often exhibit increased sensitivity to warfarin and therefore require lower maintenance doses compared to those with the G allele. Understanding these genetic influences not only improves our knowledge of warfarin pharmacogenomics but also highlights the importance of personalized medicine in anticoagulant therapy. Incorporating VKORC1 genotyping into clinical practice could optimize dose prediction, minimize adverse events, and enhance the safety and effectiveness of warfarin therapy. This narrative review aims to provide an in-depth discussion of the complex role of VKORC1 in vitamin K metabolism and its impact on warfarin sensitivity, thereby underscoring the critical relevance of genetic factors in guiding individualized anticoagulation therapy.

Abstract. Amino acids are indispensable components of human metabolism, playing essential roles in proteinsynthesis, energy production, and cellular regulation. Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs)-leucine, isoleucine,and valine—are particularly significant due to their involvement in muscle repair, metabolic signaling, andinsulin sensitivity. While BCAAs are vital under normal physiological conditions, multiple studies have shownthat elevated plasma BCAA levels are linked to insulin resistance, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. This associationhas led researchers to investigate whether these elevations are a cause or consequence of metabolicdysfunction. Recent findings have revealed that impaired BCAA catabolism in tissues such as adipose and livercontributes to their accumulation in circulation. If skeletal muscle becomes insulin resistant, it may shift BCAAmetabolism further, exacerbating the imbalance. Moreover, the modulation of specific enzymes and transportershas been proposed as a therapeutic avenue to mimic the beneficial effects of dietary protein restriction.Although several mechanisms have been proposed, including mTOR activation, fatty acid oxidationinterference, and altered neurotransmitter synthesis, no single pathway fully explains BCAA-induced metabolicdisturbances. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of amino acid metabolism is crucial, particularly ifdietary and pharmacological interventions are to be optimized for preventing or treating age-related andmetabolic diseases.

Bingkat Village is one of the villages located in Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province, with an area of 5.95 km2 or 595.96 hectares divided into 10 hamlets. Most of the land area in Bingkat Village is used as rice fields, which is 60.740% of the total land area and is used as fields and plantations of 26.830% of the total land area, so that the majority of heads of families in Bingkat Village are farmers. Healthy food is food that contains balanced nutrition, contains fiber and substances needed by the body for the child's growth and development process. Balanced nutrition can be useful as an energy substance, a regulator, and a building substance. Food also greatly affects children's digestion, so parents must be able to provide healthy food that can maintain children's digestion. So that it does not interfere with children's growth. Healthy food for digestion should be rich in nutritional elements such as carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and a little unsaturated fat, or more precisely abbreviated as the 4 healthy 5 perfect menu. Through this program by conveying about consuming Good and Healthy Nutritional and Nutritious Food. So that the community will avoid mistakes in choosing food and the negative impacts that may arise. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research on survey methods through interviews.. Based on the results of research that has been conducted in Bingkat Village with a total of 19 respondents, 72% know about choosing nutritious and nutritious food and 28% know about food additives (BTM), then the level of community knowledge about nutritious and nutritious food is higher compared to the level of community knowledge about food additives (BTM).

Degenerative diseases are a global health problem with increasing prevalence, including in Indonesia. This disease can cause serious complications in vital organs such as the heart, kidneys, and brain. Therefore, preventive efforts are needed through education and nutritional innovation. This community service program aims to provide education on molecular examinations for degenerative diseases and introduce the Watermelon Lemonade innovation as preventive nutrition. The activity was carried out in Dukuh Branglor, Mancasan Village, with the pre-test method, educational presentation, Q&A, product demonstration, and post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in public knowledge about hypertension and its examination, as well as high enthusiasm for the Watermelon Lemonade innovation. Based on the results of the activity, it can be seen that molecular examinations can be used to diagnose hypertension through analysis of genetic biomarkers, proteins, and metabolites, and the Watermelon Lemonade innovation has the potential to help lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The success of this program was shown by an increase in the average pre-test score of 58.46 to 86.67 in the post-test. The Wilcoxon test showed (p < 0.001), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results and proving an increase in participant understanding. The questionnaire results showed a high level of satisfaction from participants with the delivery of materials, product manufacturing demonstrations, and practical benefits that can be applied in everyday life. The Watermelon Lemonade innovation is not only useful as an alternative to preventing hypertension, but also has the potential to be further developed as a health product based on natural ingredients.

Biochemical toxicology studies are disciplines that study the impact of toxic compounds on biochemical processes in the human body. Toxic compounds, whether from the environment, industrial chemicals, drugs, or natural products, can interfere with cellular metabolic mechanisms and potentially cause damage to organs or body systems. This study aims to analyze how toxic compounds interact with biomolecules, such as proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids, which play a role in cellular metabolic processes. Disruption of metabolic enzymes can affect key metabolic pathways, such as energy synthesis, detoxification, and homeostasis regulation. These toxic impacts can contribute to the development of acute and chronic diseases, including liver, kidney, nervous system disorders, and cancer. In this study, we also discuss the detoxification mechanisms involving enzymes such as cytochrome P450 and glutathione-S-transferase in reducing the toxic effects of these compounds. A deeper understanding of toxic interactions and their impact on cellular metabolism is essential in developing preventive and therapeutic strategies for poisoning or toxicity-related diseases. This research is expected to provide insight into the development of more effective drugs and medical approaches in overcoming the effects of toxic toxins on humans.

Formula milk is packed with essential nutrients. It contains beneficial components such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, sodium, DHA, and more. High-quality formula milk should not lead to gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, vomiting, or problems with digestion, nor should it cause coughing, breathing difficulties, or skin reactions due to an incorrect formula choice. This research aims to explore how mothers select suitable formula milk for their babies. The study utilizes the SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING (SAW) method to determine alternative options based on pre-assigned weights and criteria. Following this, the ranking method is applied to identify the best alternative. According to the findings, five alternatives were evaluated: MORINAGA CHIL KID, LACTOGEN, SGM, BEBELOVE, and NUTRIBABY ROYAL 1. Additionally, five criteria were considered: Milk Price, Safety (Bpom Certification, Halal, etc.), Nutritional Content (Protein, Calcium, Iron, Vitamins, etc.), Taste (Natural Sweetness, Vanilla, Honey), and Market Availability.

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease induced by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis and can attack human organs, especially the lungs. The entry of this antigen causes the release of various pro-inflammatory cytokines which cause liver cells to synthesize acute phase proteins such as C-Reactive Protein (CRP). C-Reactive Protein is a type of alpha globulin protein that appears in the blood in response to inflammation in the body. The aim of this study was to determine the description of CRP in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Naibonat Community Health Center. The method used is descriptive with a cross sectional study design method. This research was carried out at the Naibonat Health Center Laboratory, Kupang Regency from February to April 2024. The examination method used was the qualitative latex agglutination method. The results of CRP examination on pulmonary TB patients from a total of 23 respondents obtained reactive results for 8 samples (35%) and non-reactive results for 15 samples (65%). Based on the results of reactive CRP, the highest number was found in males, 6 people (26%), while the highest number was found in the age range 12-25 years, 4 patients (Teenagers) (17%), with the highest length of treatment at 0 -2 months (intensive stage) as many as 6 patients (35%), with the highest patient status being new TB as many as 8 patients (35%), with the highest treatment status being non-resistant as many as 6 patients (26%).

Peripheral vascular disorders (PVD) are common in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) due to chronic metabolic disorders involving carbohydrates, fats and proteins due to insulin deficiency. PVD can lead to serious complications, such as diabetic ulcers, which increase the risk of limb amputation by 15-30% and mortality rate by 17-32% in Indonesia. Effective therapeutic management is crucial to reduce the risk of amputation by 50-75% and accelerate wound healing. The multidisciplinary approach in diabetic ulcer therapy includes antibiotics, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (TOHB), Burger Allen Exercise (BAE), honey therapy, hypnosis therapy, acupuncture - acupressure therapy, and Adjuvant Extracorporal Shockwave (AES), as well as low laser therapy. This combination of interventions provides a synergistic effect in supporting wound healing and improving patients' quality of life. This literature review aims to assess therapeutic management interventions in diabetic ulcer patients, by analyzing 89 articles from Google Scholar (period 2017-2024), of which 74 articles were excluded and 15 articles met the inclusion criteria. Keywords used included diabetes mellitus AND peripheral vascular disorders. The results of the review showed that an evidence-based approach and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential for the successful management of diabetic ulcers, supporting the healing process and improving patients' quality of life.
