Indonesia continues to face a significant burden of stunting that seriously impacts human resource quality and national development. Stunting is defined as a condition of chronic linear growth failure in children under five years, characterized by height-for-age below minus two standard deviations (−2 SD) from the WHO Child Growth Standards median, resulting from prolonged nutritional deficiency during the first 1,000 days of life. Indonesia's national stunting prevalence in 2022 remained at 21.6%, far from the 2024 national target of 14%. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of pregnant mothers and mothers with toddlers regarding the definition, causative factors, impacts, and prevention strategies of stunting in Banyumas Village, Stabat District, Langkat Regency, in 2025. A community-based participatory intervention approach with a pre-post single group design was employed, incorporating interactive health counseling, group discussion sessions, anthropometric examination of toddlers, and pre-test and post-test knowledge assessments using a validated questionnaire. Participants consisted of 21 pregnant mothers and mothers with toddlers, with 7 toddlers undergoing anthropometric examination. Results demonstrated a significant increase in the mean knowledge score from 55.24 (pre-test) to 82.38 (post-test), reflecting an improvement of 27.14 points. Anthropometric examination identified 1 out of 7 toddlers (14.3%) as having poor nutritional status based on the height-for-age index. Beyond measurable knowledge gains, the activity successfully promoted perceptual change among participants, fostered the active role of local health cadres as community change agents, and cultivated collective awareness regarding the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in stunting prevention efforts. It is recommended that posyandu cadres actively sustain the 1,000 HPK counseling program on a continuous basis, and that the institution develop more comprehensive follow-up community service programs in the target area.

Nosocomial infections, such as Surgical Site Infections (SSI), phlebitis, and Urinary Tract Infections (UTI), continue to challenge hospital service quality, including at Dharmais Cancer Hospital. The performance of Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurses (IPCLNs), key in executing the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program, remains suboptimal, with delays in reporting, inaccurate surveillance documentation, and weak coordination with the IPCN team. This study aims to analyze the effect of training and work motivation on IPCLN performance, with supervision as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship. Using a quantitative approach, the study employed multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA) on data from 43 IPCLNs selected through total sampling. A structured, valid, and reliable questionnaire was used for data collection. The results showed that training, motivation, and supervision had a significant effect on IPCLN performance. Training and motivation had a positive impact, while supervision not only had a direct effect but also moderated the relationship between training, motivation, and performance. These findings emphasize the importance of structured training, motivation enhancement, and sustainable supervision to improve the IPC program's effectiveness. The practical implication is the need for integrated managerial strategies to strengthen the role of IPCLNs in reducing infection risks and improving hospital service quality.

Rheumatism in the elderly can cause chronic pain that affects the quality of sleep. One of the factors influencing the sleep pattern of elderly patients with rheumatism is the level of physical activity. Insufficient physical activity can worsen joint stiffness and increase sleep disturbances. This study aims to examine the effect of physical activity on sleep patterns in elderly rheumatism patients at the Sumber Pucung Elderly Posyandu, Malang Regency. This study is a quantitative study with an analytical correlational design using a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study consisted of all elderly rheumatism patients at the Sumber Pucung Elderly Posyandu, totaling 33 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The study was conducted from July 20 to 27, 2025. Data collection instruments used the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents (90.9%) had low physical activity and all respondents (100%) had poor sleep patterns. The simple linear regression test yielded a significance value of p = 0.479 (p > 0.05) and R Square = 0.016, indicating no significant effect of physical activity on sleep patterns. Based on these results, it is expected that elderly rheumatism patients can increase physical activity according to their abilities to help maintain sleep quality, and Posyandu officers can provide education and elderly exercise programs appropriate for rheumatism conditions.

This study aims to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy on academic performance in the 2021 intake of students at Padang State University. Academic self-efficacy is an individual's belief in their ability to complete academic tasks, which is believed to play a significant role in determining student academic achievement. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 55 respondents as a sample. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure students' academic self-efficacy levels, as well as data collection on their Grade Point Average (GPA) as an indicator of academic performance. Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS program, through several testing stages, namely instrument validity and reliability tests, and simple linear regression tests to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the analysis indicate a positive and significant influence between academic self-efficacy and academic performance. This is evidenced by the regression coefficient value of 0.009, with a calculated t-value of 15.278, which is greater than the t-table of 2.266, and a significance value of 0.006, which is less than 0.05. These findings indicate that the higher a student's level of confidence in their academic abilities, the better their academic achievement. Therefore, developing academic self-efficacy can be an important strategy for improving the quality of learning and student academic achievement.

Employee performance is a critical determinant of service quality and operational success in hospitals. High-performing employees contribute directly to patient satisfaction, service efficiency, and overall institutional reputation. This study investigates the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on the performance of employees at Petrokimia Gresik Hospital, aiming to provide empirical evidence to guide strategic human resource management in healthcare settings. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected using structured questionnaires. The respondents consisted of 85 permanent employees selected through simple random sampling, ensuring that the sample fairly represented the hospital's workforce. The questionnaire was designed to measure aspects of both intrinsic motivation (such as self-fulfillment, recognition, and meaningful work) and extrinsic motivation (such as salary, benefits, and job security), along with indicators of employee performance. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the individual and joint effects of the motivational variables on performance. The results revealed that both intrinsic motivation (β = 0.532, p < 0.05) and extrinsic motivation (β = 0.487, p < 0.05) had a statistically significant and positive impact on employee performance. The model showed that the combination of these two factors accounted for 68.2% of the variation in employee performance (R² = 0.682), indicating a strong explanatory power. These findings underscore the importance of a balanced motivational strategy in hospital management. Relying solely on financial incentives is insufficient; efforts must also be made to cultivate a positive and fulfilling work environment. Therefore, hospital administrators are encouraged to design integrated motivation programs that address both intrinsic and extrinsic factors to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and ultimately, the quality of healthcare services provided.
