Film is a communication medium capable of conveying moral messages to the public through a series of moving images, usually accompanied by sound. One such medium is the short film. "The waiting room" by Galih Firdaus, a production of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) released in April 2024 and received positive acclaim for its engaging plot and relevance to the audience's reality. This study aims to analyze the moral message in the film using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory, which emphasizes three main elements: Representation, Object, and Interpretant. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method to uncover the moral meanings behind the film's scenes. The results found 15 scenes that explicitly convey moral values, including the importance of open communication within the family, the meaning of simple kindness, valuing togetherness, the commitment of true love, a mother's fortitude, loyalty in waiting, and sincere care. The moral message is constructed through Representation (physical signs such as a bowl of soto), Object (the reality conveyed, such as an apology), and Interpretant (the audience's understanding that the soto symbolizes improving relationships). In conclusion, the film "The waiting room" successfully conveys a strong moral message through a neatly structured narrative.

The quote "We Must Be Old" from Fourtwnty is not just a song, but a journey within oneself. Through rich and meaningful lyrics, we are invited to reflect on life and the process of growing old. Like poetry that is pleasant to listen to, but also makes us think deeply. His choice of words is topnotch. "White hair", "creased forehead", and "low energy" describe the aging process that we all experience. These straightforward and touching words make us look back, look at the journey of our lives, and think about how precious the passing of time is. Apart from word choice, these lyrics are also good at playing with language styles. There are similes like "steps that used to be nimble, now are limping" and personifications like "time keeps turning around." This style of language not only makes the lyrics cute, but also reminds us that aging is a natural thing and we must accept it gracefully. The lyrics are neatly arranged and the sentences vary in length. There are short sentences that are catchy, there are also long sentences that are full of meaning. This combination makes the song enjoyable to follow and the moral message is even more touching to the heart. "We Must Be Old" is more than just a song. This is Fourtwnty's invitation to make us reflect on the meaning of life, accept aging, and understand how precious time is. Every second is precious and will never come back again.

The data collection technique in this research is observation, interview, note-taking and listening techniques.The data used in this research are fragments of Nandong poetry which contain moral messages in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency. The data source for this research is the word of Nandong poetry. Simeulue Regency. Data source for this research is the sound of Nandong poetry, Simeulue Regency. Data analysis in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. Based on the research results, 31 pieces of moral messages were found in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency. The moral messages in Nandong poetry, Simeulue regency are divided into 3 types of moral messages.  (1) Individual moral messages (8 data of human relationship with themselves), (2) Social moral messages (15 data of human relationship with other human), (3) Religious moral messages (8 data of human relationship with God).

172 Days is a 2023 Indonesian drama film adapted from the novel of the same name by Nadzira Shafa. The film tells the story of Zira, a young woman who is far from religion and trapped in a free lifestyle. After experiencing a dark past, Zira decides to hijrah and live a better life. On her journey, Zira meets Ameer, a young ustaz who helps her in the hijrah process. This meeting grows seeds of love between them, and they get married. However, their marriage faces various tests and trials. This film raises the themes of hijrah, love, and marriage in an inspiring and touching way. 172 Days provides a moral message about the importance of faith and steadfastness in living life. The film also shows that true love can withstand any test.

Poetry contains the author's emotions and experiences that remain imprinted in memory. Poetry has hidden meanings wrapped in rhyming language so it is more interesting to read. The author is interested in analyzing the poem "Senja di Pelabuhan Kecil" by Chairil Anwar, because the poem is formed with a straightforward language but has a broad meaning and contains many moral messages in the poem. The aim of this research is to find out the moral message in Chairil Anwar's poetry and to improve the author's understanding of the pragmatic approach. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method that analyzes and explains the moral message of the poem "Senja di Pelabuhan Kecil" by Chairil Anwar using observation studies. The pragmatic approach is an approach to literary criticism that wants to show readers' impressions and acceptance of literary works. Based on the results of the analysis of the poem "Sunja di Pelabuhan Kecil" it can be concluded that this poem contains a moral message about sincerity in accepting a loss and not dwelling on sadness.

This study aims to reveal the anomaly of female domination: the moral message in Djarum 76 advertisement version of the genie is afraid of the wife, by representing something that is not visible on the surface. This article is a qualitative descriptive research type with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis based on Stuart Hall's representation theory. Primary data through observation of text and audio-visual images from advertisements, and secondary data from relevant literature, then analyzed based on the concept of The Codes of Television. The results of the study show: in the Djarum 76 advertisement, the version of the genie is afraid of his wife, builds the image that men are afraid of their wives, which can be seen from the activities, sounds, expressions, camera techniques, and existing ideology. This anomaly is a reality that occurs a lot in the reality of society where a household is dominated by the wife. The research implication, narrative experience brings the consumer's mood to the narrative which is carried as a moral message. More specific research is needed to reveal the atmosphere of the relationship built on the research focus.  

Artikel ini membahas kajian stalistika dan pesan moral pada puisi “Sajak Putih” karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Fokus pembahasan artikel ini memiliki ciri khas tersendiri yang diuraikan dalam diksi, citraan, majas dan pesan moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deksriptif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah puisi karya Sapardi Djoko Damono yang berjudul “Sajak Putih”, yang terbit perdana pada tahun 1967. Data yang diteliti di dalam puisi ini berupa kata, kalimat, dan wacana yang nantinya akan diteliti dari baris per baris, guna untuk mengetahui penggunaan diksi, citraan, majas dan pesan moral. Hasil pembahasan artikel ini menunjukan bahwa puisi Sapardi Djoko Damono menggunakan diksi yang sederhana yang mudah dipahami dan komunikatif, tetapi mengandung makna yang sangat mendalam dan tidak menghilangkan nilai – nilai estetika pada puisi tersebut. Penggunaan citraan membangkitkan imajinasi pembaca melalui ungkapan yang tidak langsung. Pesan yang disampaikan pada puisi tersebut berkaitan dengan hubungan pelajaran kehidupan manusia dan lingkungannya.
