This study explores the challenges of evangelism in the modern era, particularly in reaching groups that are apathetic towards the gospel. Using 1 Corinthians 9:19-27 as its foundation, which highlights the importance of flexibility in evangelistic approaches to reach speople from various backgrounds, this research applies the Apostle Paul’s concept of adaptability to contemporary evangelism among apathetic groups. Specifically, it examines how biblically-based adaptive strategies can be utilized by churches and individual Christians in their evangelistic mission. The primary aim of this study is to analyze the application of the principle of flexibility in 1 Corinthians 9:19-27 for apathetic groups and to assess how this principle can enhance the effectiveness of evangelism in today’s context. Through this research, it is hoped that new, more relevant approaches for ministry in a diverse society will be identified. This study employs a qualitative method, using biblical text analysis and systematic theological reflection. Findings indicate that applying the principle of flexibility in evangelism is not only effective in addressing apathy, but also allows evangelists to build more personal and empathetic relationships with those they seek to reach. In Paul’s sense, flexibility involves adapting without compromising gospel truth, offering a pertinent strategy for meeting the challenges of evangelizing to apathetic individuals.

This article examines the application of the Christian faith by focusing on the development of the fruits of the Spirit as recorded in Galatians 5:22-23. Through an analysis of the biblical text, this article explains how the Fruits of the Spirit are not just the ultimate goal but a continuous transformation and this article discusses the spiritual growth that is realized through the development of the Fruits of the Spirit. Explain how the Fruits of the Spirit are in the context of a society where there are many conflicts that are very influential in the growth of our spiritual faith. The development of the Fruits of the Spirit significantly contributes to the formation of a healthy and adaptive Christian character. The study also highlights the practical implications for self-development for believers.

The church is not only a building or building that is only used as a place of worship for Christians, but in the church it is also a place or forum for Christians to be able to grow together with each other, whether it is a spiritual or social form so that small communities are created even the largest. If the church is only understood as a building or building for worship, then it is likely to be considered not only as a terminology but also as a theological distort. So the church is a community of God, who has been called out of darkness into the light. The dynamics of church growth in Asia today are very diverse, and the problems of church growth are most affected by social problems, globalization, technological advancements, and cultural changes. In this context, it requires an important role of the church, namely from the way the church grows and the leadership of the church as an agent of change that is able to integrate Christian values with the demands of the times.

The preacher highlights the emptiness and transience of the materialistic world as well as the importance of man's relationship with God to find true meaning in life. This book emphasizes that living without fear of God is considered futile, and only by surrendering to Allah can a person find true peace and happiness. Through Christ's death and resurrection, vanity can be rejected and life can be directed to eternal things.

This study aims to investigate the intertextual understanding of Ecclesiastes in English by theology students and the opinions of the general public. The main focus of this research is to understand how students can read and understand the Bible, especially the Book of Ecclesiastes, in English. In addition, this study also seeks to explain how students and the community can form active communication and discussions regarding intertextual understanding. In addition, this research aims to explore how Christians in Jakarta, especially in suburban areas such as Bekasi, Depok, Tangerang, and Bogor, view the presence of Christian theology students in contributing to society. The research method used in this study involved opinion surveys and interviews with theology students and the general public. Theology students will be asked to read and understand the book of Ecclesiastes in English translation, while their opinions and responses will be collected through surveys and interviews. Opinions from the general public will be collected through a survey which will be disseminated in various areas of Jakarta, especially in the suburbs. The collected data will be analyzed qualitatively to identify the main patterns and findings in intertextual understanding and perceptions of the contribution of Christian theology students in society. This research is expected to provide practical benefits in increasing understanding of the Bible in English, especially the Book of Ecclesiastes, as well as strengthening active communication and discussion in intertextual understanding. In addition, the results of this study can strengthen the relationship between Christian theology students and the community, especially in the Jakarta area, by demonstrating their contribution to service and positive contributions to society.

Today Christians has faced various challengge that plunge many christian into consumerism, terrible sadness, hedonism and covetous. As the result many christian become selfish, irritable, and  egoist. For that  reason, Pope Francis urged  many  preachers should  work  hard  in proclaiming the gospel especially through homilies because homilies beyond all form of catechesis. This paper aims to explore Pope Francis' theological ideas about concerning homily. In a way of exploring the theological conception regarding homily, the writer treats the apostolic exhortation of evangelii Gaudium article number 135-159.
