The Socialization Program of Self-Token Economy Techniques was carried out at the Muhammadiyah Nuruddin Orphanage with the main goal of increasing the academic motivation of orphanage children through a token-based reward system approach. Children in orphanages often face challenges such as low motivation to learn, lack of incentive systems, lack of confidence, and an unconducive learning environment. To answer these problems, this program prioritizes the Self-Token Economy technique as an educational and applicative intervention strategy. The implementation method consists of the preparation stage, the implementation of socialization, and impact evaluation. The target of the activity was 15 orphanage children who were actively involved in the entire series of programs. This activity also involves strategic partners who play a role in providing facilities, technical assistance, and program sustainability planning. The results showed an increase in participants' academic motivation, characterized by increased participation in learning activities, understanding of the award system, and the emergence of independent learning initiatives. In addition, this program produces outputs in the form of scientific publications as a form of dissemination of knowledge and good practices in developing the academic motivation of orphanage children. In conclusion, the Self-Token Economy technique has proven to be effective as a social intervention approach that can be applied in the orphanage environment to support the achievement of children's education more optimally.

Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei infestation, and generally affects children and adolescents, especially those living in crowded and unhygienic environments such as orphanages. This disease is highly contagious through direct contact and the sharing of personal items, such as towels, clothing, and bedding. Therefore, ongoing promotional and preventive efforts are crucial to prevent the spread of scabies in vulnerable communities. This community service activity was carried out at the Harapan Kita Orphanage within the Ariodillah Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area. The main objective of the activity was to increase children's knowledge, awareness, and skills in preventing scabies transmission. The activity methods used included two-way discussion-based health education, providing real-life examples of personal hygiene, and distributing educational leaflets that are easy for children to understand. The education was conducted interactively by involving participants in questions and answers, handwashing simulations, and education on the importance of washing clothes and maintaining clean bedding. Post-activity observations showed that all participants did not experience active scabies symptoms, and there was an increase in participants' understanding of clean and healthy lifestyles. The children showed high enthusiasm and were able to reflect on the information presented. Overall, this activity proved effective in raising awareness of the importance of personal and environmental hygiene. This counseling model is highly relevant for regular implementation in orphanages or other institutions at high risk of spreading infectious skin diseases, as part of an education-based public health strategy. With the active involvement of the orphanage caregivers, it is hoped that this program can be sustainable and become part of the routine health education for children.

This study aims to enhance the environmental awareness of orphanage children in Banjarmasin by educating them on the fundamental concepts of photosynthesis and its crucial role in sustaining life. Through interactive and participatory learning sessions, the program sought not only to impart scientific knowledge but also to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship. The research employed a qualitative approach, involving observation, interviews, and pre- and post-learning assessments to measure changes in understanding and attitude. Findings indicated a significant improvement in both the children’s comprehension of photosynthesis and their awareness of environmental issues. This suggests that targeted educational interventions can effectively bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and environmental consciousness among young learners in under-resourced communities.
