Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils derived from natural materials to improve physical and psychological well-being. One of the most popular aromatherapy products is the aromatherapy candle, which provides relaxation while creating a comfortable atmosphere. This study aimed to develop aromatherapy candles based on agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis) leaf extract, evaluate product quality, analyze public acceptance, and identify their potential as an entrepreneurial opportunity. This study employed an experimental method with a descriptive approach. The research stages included the extraction of agarwood leaves through a distillation process, the formulation of aromatherapy candles, product validation by three experts using sensory evaluation, and a public acceptance test involving 40 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results showed that the third experiment produced the best extract characteristics, including a golden-yellow color, a stronger distinctive agarwood aroma, and an oily texture. The public acceptance test indicated that the average scores for color, texture, ease of use, and aroma were 3.16, 2.90, 3.42, and 3.02, respectively, which were categorized as good to very good. These findings demonstrate that agarwood leaf extract has the potential to be used as an alternative ingredient in the production of aromatherapy candles, in addition to receiving a high level of public acceptance, the product possesses economic value and can be developed as an innovative product and entrepreneurial opportunity in the beauty, spa, wellness, and creative industries.

The Aceh Tamiang region was one of the areas affected by the hydrometeorological disaster. The disaster not only caused damage to community facilities and infrastructure but also left behind dead soil deposits that were poor in nutrients, dense in texture, and less productive for supporting agricultural and plantation activities. Research was conducted to examine strategies for utilizing dead soil after flooding by processing it with organic materials so that it could be converted into organic fertilizer with utility and economic value. This research aimed to find environmentally friendly land rehabilitation solutions, increase soil productivity, and open new business opportunities for disaster-affected communities. The results showed that the combination of flood sediment soil with organic materials significantly increased nutrient content, improved soil structure, increased water holding capacity, and accelerated the growth of test plants compared to untreated soil. Furthermore, this program provides dual benefits: on the one hand, it serves as a post-disaster land rehabilitation solution, and on the other hand, it serves as an opportunity for an organic fertilizer business that can reduce the community's dependence on relatively expensive chemical fertilizers. The implications of this research are not only limited to the technical aspects of agriculture but also touch on the socio-economic dimensions of the community. Utilizing dead soil as organic fertilizer can strengthen local economic resilience, increase farmer independence, and encourage the creation of environmentally friendly, sustainable agricultural systems. Therefore, this strategy can serve as an innovative model for addressing the impacts of hydrometeorological disasters in other areas facing similar challenges.

Sumbersari Village is one of the few places where child marriage is still a problem. Children's mental health, education, and future prospects are all negatively impacted by this practice. The KKN (Community Service Program) group organizes community service projects that teach fifth and sixth graders about the dangers of child marriage and give them the opportunity to socialize. One of the strategies used is a question and answer session with incentives to increase student engagement, as well as presenting material in simple language and facilitating interactive conversations. The results show that students' interest and knowledge about child marriage risks increases. This activity has limitations due to its limited reach, especially for elementary school children, and the relatively basic nature of the subject matter. Therefore, for initiatives to combat child marriage to be more successful and sustainable, follow-up programs involving parents, adolescents, and community leaders are essential. Collaboration with relevant parties is needed to create deeper policies, as well as increase awareness of the importance of women's education and empowerment in preventing child marriage.

This research discusses the authority of judges in declaring a lawsuit inadmissible (Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard/NO) in civil cases based on Decision Number 82/Pdt.G/2025/PN Kwg. The issues examined in this study relate to the application of formal requirements of a lawsuit and the authority of judges in rendering an NO decision due to errors in determining legal subjects (error in persona). This study aims to analyze the application of civil procedural law regarding the formal requirements of a lawsuit and to examine the authority of judges in declaring a lawsuit inadmissible. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and case approaches. The legal materials used consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials obtained through library research and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the formal requirements of a lawsuit hold a very important position in civil procedural law. Errors in determining legal subjects, particularly involving a party who has passed away without involving the heirs, result in a formally defective lawsuit and cause it to be declared inadmissible (Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard). In Decision Number 82/Pdt.G/2025/PN Kwg, the judges exercised their authority in accordance with civil procedural law to maintain legal certainty and orderly judicial proceedings. However, the application of such authority is considered to be overly formalistic because it did not provide an opportunity to amend the lawsuit, thereby giving less attention to substantive justice for the plaintiff.

The digital transformation of Indonesia’s judicial system through the implementation of e-court represents a judicial reform aimed at achieving a simple, fast, and low-cost legal process. However, the digitization of civil case proceedings raises concerns regarding legal certainty, particularly in the application of the principle of audi et alteram partem as a fundamental doctrine ensuring equal opportunity for parties to be heard. This study aims to analyze the normative regulation of the audi et alteram partem principle in Indonesian civil procedural law, examine its implementation within the e-court system, and assess whether its application provides adequate legal certainty for litigants. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Legal materials consist of statutory regulations, legal doctrines, and relevant academic journals. The findings indicate that normatively, the e-court system accommodates the right to be heard through electronic case registration, summons, hearings, and submission of documents. Nevertheless, technical obstacles, disparities in digital literacy, and potential deficiencies in electronic notification mechanisms may affect the effective protection of parties’ rights. It is concluded that the implementation of the audi et alteram partem principle in e-court has a sufficient legal foundation, yet requires further technical and regulatory strengthening to ensure optimal legal certainty.

This article explores inconsistencies in employee performance within small, project-oriented service sectors, where quality depends on daily tasks, punctuality, and adherence to procedures. Since skill development relies largely on informal workplace learning, differences in worker competencies often lead to rework, customer complaints, and safety issues. The study investigates how skills and competencies affect employee performance, illustrating how individual abilities translate into observable performance through the ability–motivation–opportunity (AMO) framework and experience-based learning. A qualitative case study at Rajasa Teknik included interviews and observations to examine project coordination, quality standards, and supervision practices. Results indicate that competencies and skills primarily influence ability, but sustained motivation- driven by realistic goals and fair feedback- along with ample opportunities such as smooth material flow, clear roles, and on-site decision support, enhance performance. The findings underline the importance of a cohesive work system (task division, quality control, communication), a consistent safety culture (K3), and straightforward, repetitive HR practices that facilitate tacit knowledge transfer into routines. Improvements suggested involve mapping core competencies, brief mentoring sessions, quality-focused standards, and evaluation systems to minimise service variation and promote sustainable performance in similar businesses. Overall, this research broadens the understanding of performance management in small enterprises and offers practical guidance for interventions.

Honor killing cases often involve a distributed structure of perpetrators between decision-makers, providers of means, and implementers. This collective pattern raises the problem of role attribution in criminal law enforcement, which often shifts toward two problematic tendencies: centralizing responsibility on the executor or expanding criminal responsibility based on family ties. This article aims to formulate a tested role attribution model so that criminal responsibility does not stop at the direct perpetrator and does not develop into association-based punishment. This research uses a normative legal research method with a conceptual approach. Data collection methods were collected using literature studies, then analyzed qualitatively and presented descriptively. The research results formulate a role map of instigator, facilitator, and executor, operationalized through group role attribution based on two axes: causal contribution and normative contribution. The instigator is understood as the driver who shapes the will and locks the decision, the facilitator is understood as an assistant who deliberately provides the opportunity, means, or information. Meanwhile, the executor is someone who carries out the material act, although in terms of position, their actions are not automatically identical to the dominance of the decision. This division of roles is complemented by evidentiary indicators covering communication, financing, provision of facilities, field control, and post-incident intimidation, along with negative criteria to prevent inferences based on blood relations or passive presence. This model provides a more measurable standard of attribution for investigation, prosecution, and sentencing in collective honor killing cases.

Fantasy eyelashes are eyelashes that are used to add an accent of beauty to fantasy eye makeup. Currently, fantasy eyelashes are rarely sold on the market, and most of them are relatively expensive with simple designs. The scarcity of fantasy eyelashes at relatively high prices has led the author to innovate by utilizing mother-in-law's tongue leaf fibers as the basic material for making fantasy eyelashes. The research aims to simplify the search for fantasy eyelashes needed by the public at an affordable price while using natural materials that minimize the risk of irritation, thereby presenting an entrepreneurial opportunity. The natural material used is the mother-in-law's tongue plant. This plant is an environmentally friendly ornamental plant that is easily found in the author's surroundings, highly beneficial for health as it filters toxins and air pollution, and has high economic value. This research employs observation, literature review, experimentation, documentation, and questionnaires. The author uses descriptive qualitative analysis, presenting research results in narrative form using words and sentences. The author offers a price of Rp. 35,000 per pair, which is competitive with market prices for fantasy eyelashes. Product validation was conducted through sensory testing with three expert validators, covering aspects such as texture, shape, neatness, and a rating of 15 in the “very suitable” category. The level of preference was assessed through a preference test with 60 respondents, covering statements 1 to 8, with results ranging from 241 to 300 indicating “very liked.” This study concludes that fantasy eyelashes made from mother-in-law's tongue leaves can compete and are favored by makeup artists and practitioners.

This research discusses the Constitutional Court Decision Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 regarding the minimum age requirement for presidential and vice-presidential candidates as stipulated in Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections. In that decision, the Constitutional Court ruled that the age limit of 40 years remains in effect, but with an exception for candidates who are not yet 40 years old but have previously or are currently serving as regional heads. This research employs a normative juridical method with legislative and conceptual approaches, analyzing primary legal materials such as the 1945 Constitution, Election Law, and Constitutional Court decisions, supported by secondary legal materials from academic literature and journals. The research findings indicate that the Constitutional Court's considerations are based on the principles of citizens' constitutional rights, open legal policy, and the idea of leadership experience as an alternative age requirement. This decision has positive implications, including opportunities for leadership regeneration and increased political participation by young people, but it also draws criticism for its potential to discriminate against non-regional leaders and create political suspicion. Therefore, a revision of the Election Law is needed to clarify the legal norms resulting from the Constitutional Court's decision so that it does not lead to multiple interpretations and maintains the principle of equality. This research concludes that the Constitutional Court's decision is an opportunity to strengthen democracy, but also a challenge in ensuring constitutional justice in Indonesia.

The family is an essential social unit that contributes significantly to the protection of children's rights and welfare. In the context of Indonesian law, the legal status of children born out of wedlock was severely limited before the Constitutional Court Decision No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010. This study aims to examine changes in the legal status of out-of-wedlock children and their implications for custody after the decision. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature research approach, through the analysis of primary and secondary legal materials, such as Constitutional Court decisions, scientific literature, legal journals, and relevant laws and regulations. Prior to the Constitutional Court's ruling, children born out of wedlock were only recognized as having a civil relationship with their mother and mother's family, which had an impact on limited children's access to legal identity, custody, and inheritance. However, the Constitutional Court Decision No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010 opens up the opportunity to recognize the legal relationship between an out-of-wedlock child and his biological father, as long as it can be scientifically proven (through DNA tests) and legally. This change strengthens the position of children in obtaining custody (alimentasi), including the right to maintenance, protection, education, and financial support from the biological father. This ruling reflects significant progress in the protection of children's rights and the application of the principle of non-discrimination in Indonesian family law. Nevertheless, implementation in the field still faces challenges, both administratively, such as the convoluted recognition process, and socially, especially the stigma against children out of wedlock. Other challenges include low public legal literacy, limited access to scientific proof institutions, and the non-optimal role of the state in guaranteeing the rights of children born out of wedlock.

Bekasam is a traditional fermented fish-based food popular in various regions in Indonesia, including Batanghari, Jambi. This product is produced through a spontaneous fermentation process that utilizes the activity of microorganisms, particularly lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which play an important role in the formation of distinctive flavors, food safety, and potential health benefits. One type of fish used is lambak fish (Labiobarbus ocellatus), which is commonly found in local waters. Given the high prevalence of cardiovascular disease associated with cholesterol levels, exploring the probiotic potential of local fermented foods presents a strategic opportunity to support public health. This study aims to isolate and identify LAB from bekasam lambak fish from Mersam, Batanghari, and evaluate its initial potential as a candidate for cholesterol-lowering probiotics. The research method was carried out in the laboratory through a series of dilutions (10⁻¹–10⁻⁶) of bekasam samples, followed by cultivation on Nutrient Agar (NA) media using the pour and streak method. Incubation was carried out at 37°C for 24–48 hours. The growing colonies were then observed morphologically and tested using Gram staining. Observations revealed spherical, milky-white colonies with Gram-positive rod-shaped characteristics, indicating they likely belonged to the Lactobacillus genus. This genus is known to lower cholesterol through bile acid binding and free cholesterol assimilation mechanisms in the digestive tract. These findings reinforce the notion that bekasam lambak fish contains local LAB isolates that have the potential to be developed as a natural probiotic raw material. This potential can be utilized in the development of functional fermented food products or nutraceuticals that not only maintain the traditional value of bekasam but also provide preventative health benefits, particularly in controlling cholesterol levels.
