This study analyzes George Orwell's novel Animal Farm as a reflection of social conflicts in the 1917 Russian Revolution using M.H. Abrams' mimetic approach. The novel functions as an allegory, with Mr. Jones representing Tsar Nicholas II, Snowball as Leon Trotsky, and Napoleon as Joseph Stalin. Through the mimetic approach, this research identifies how the rebellion, power struggles, and the corruption of revolutionary ideals are depicted in the novel, ultimately leading to dictatorship that mirrors the regime they initially rejected. Orwell highlights how the revolution's original vision of equality was ultimately betrayed by the new leaders. The findings of this study show that Animal Farm not only critiques Stalinism but also reflects broader social and political phenomena related to the concentration of power, abuse of authority, and the cyclical nature of power in history. This study supports mimetic theory by demonstrating how literature can deeply reflect historical realities, contributing to the discourse in both literature and politics, and serving as a reminder of the dangers of authoritarianism.

A literary work is a work that not only has beauty, but also has meaning in it. Poetry is an imaginative work with words that contain aesthetics and simplicity, but is difficult to understand for readers who have little knowledge in analyzing poetry. Someone who likes to write uses poetry as motivation. The author is interested in analyzing the poem "Celebrating Loss" by Ulfiyanti Nawangsih Rahyu because it has deep meaning. This research aims to understand the meaning of Ulfiyanti Nawangsih Rahayu's poetry and increase the author's experience in the mimetic approach. The method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method which produces descriptive data in the form of words and then explains the meaning of the poem "Celebrating Loss" using mimetic studies.    

Poetry is a literary work that is imaginative, which analogizes meaning with other expressions so that the meaning contained in poetry is hidden behind aesthetic and fictional words that not everyone understands the direction and purpose of the poetry conveyed. Poetry is not easy for readers to understand at a glance because the language is broad and the meaning is difficult to interpret, therefore a reader must have knowledge in studying poetry literary works in order to understand the meaning conveyed by the poetry. The poem "To You My Lover" by Heri Isnaini is formed from a unique and simple language structure but has a broad meaning and makes readers interested in his work. The romantic and beautiful language is an attraction and makes this poetry by Heri Insaini research material. The aim of this research is to analyze the meaning in the poem entitled "To you" by Heri Isnaini and convey the detailed content of the poem so that readers can understand the meaning conveyed through this research. This research is also useful for readers to further develop literary works in the form of poetry. The method used in this research uses a descriptive method which examines the content of the meaning of the poem "To You My Lover". Apart from that, the poetry in this research was dissected using a mimetic approach. Mimetics is an approach in literary criticism regarding imitation or fiction of real life.

The focus of this discussion is to describe values ​​which include social reality, educational reality, and the reality of struggle. This approach can be linked between literary works and real life through a mimetic approach. In the novel, the local community rejects the "cook, macak, manak" system, that women can only cook, dress up and give birth. So researchers are interested in studying it using a mimetic approach. The method used in this article is a qualitative descriptive approach which produces data in the form of written words, and this research contains data quotations which provide an overview of the research results, then the data collection technique used is reading and note-taking techniques, because to find out a picture of life social values, education, and struggles that exist in real life. The description of social reality includes an attitude of helping the upper class to the lower class (compassion), and the existence of an attitude of helping the lower class to the upper class (reciprocity) in the novel reflects social values ​​in real life. Then the description of the reality of education, such as enthusiasm for education and being active in school activities, in the novel, the value of education is still present in the real world. Then the reality of struggle is related to fighting for rights.

This study aims to determine the intrinsic and extrinsic elements contained in the short story "School Theft" by Portgas D Fahri with a mimetic and objective approach. The method used in this study is through qualitative descriptive analysis with a mimetic and objective approach in literary works. The data analysis technique used is to read and observe short stories, collect data, describe, and draw conclusions from the results of the study. The results showed that there are values of life reality in the form of social reality, the reality of life struggle, the reality of the real world contained in the short story "School Theft" with a mimetic approach. The conclusion of this study is that there is a phenomenon of reality values in short stories, in the form of bad experiences when entering a new school for the figure of "me".

This research focuses on analyzing the short story "The Man Who Suffers When He is Praise" by Ahmad Tohari with an objective and mimetic approach, and using qualitative descriptive methods. The data source used is the short story "The Man Who Suffers When He is Praise" by Ahmad Tohari which was analyzed carefully and critically. Through an objective approach, this research aims to identify intrinsic elements such as theme, point of view, plot, setting, characters, characterization, language style and message in short stories. Meanwhile, a mimetic approach is used to find social elements in short stories that can be connected to the reality of everyday life. It is hoped that this research can encourage a deeper understanding of Ahmad Tohari's literary works and broaden readers' perspectives on the meaning of this short story in a social context. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a more comprehensive insight into the quality of literature and the social message conveyed through the short story "The Man Who Suffers when He is Praise."

Apart from using qualitative descriptive methods, the author also uses a mimetic approach, namely research that connects the content of literary works and real life. In this short story the author finds character and moral values ​​depicted in each character, as well as a real storyline that occurs in life. A difference of opinion which then becomes the cause of a dispute, but can be resolved by a figure who has a wise nature. Then the policy leads to changes that cause regret in the future. And the moral value presented in this short story is not to force change on a group or person if we cannot be responsible for the change. This short story by Yus R. Ismail is a simple short story that describes real life clearly without engineering and contains several useful lessons for the reader.

The poem by Heri Isnaini with the title "1 Distance" is formed in simple language but is interesting to study. This attracts a reader to study the poem and use it as research material. The aim of this research. The aim of this research is to analyze the meaning in the poem entitled "Distance 1" by Heri Isnaini and convey the content of the poem in detail so that readers can understand the meaning conveyed through this research. This research is also useful for readers to further develop literary works in the form of poetry. The method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method which examines the content of the meaning of the poem "1 Distance". In this way, this research will reveal the implied meaning of the poetry presented by the poet. Apart from that, the author dissects this poem using a mimetic approach. Mimetics is an approach in literary criticism regarding imitation or fiction of real life.

This research focuses on analyzing the impact of strict parents in the short story "Gadis" by Hening Apriliananda Wikuruni using a mimetic approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The resource used is the short story "Gadis" by Hening Apriliananda Wikuruni. The data collection technique used was to read critically and carefully the entire story content of the short story. The analysis technique is to examine the impact of the strict parents in the short story, then compare it with real life reality. The results of this research are that the short story describes an authoritarian parenting pattern, then this parenting pattern creates violence in the family which results in the girl (the main character of the short story) experiencing mental disorders. The girl tried to commit suicide twice but ultimately failed. In real life, we encounter this a lot and it is not something new. The impact that often occurs in real life is that children have difficulty making decisions, there is tension between parents and children, and the child has the potential to commit criminal acts.    

This research is intended to reveal colonialism in Forster’s A Passage to India. This is a qualitative research project since the data are in the form of words rather than numbers. The data were taken from the work itself and other relevant books supporting the analysis. In analyzing the data, the writer used a mimetic approach. The results show that the British colonize Indians by controlling them politically, that is, by gaining positions of power and authority. It is clearly seen that every important governmental position in India is occupied by British people. It is also undeniable that every public policy made is only for the benefit of the British government in India. It causes many effects to the colony and even the colonists. For the colony people, colonialism forms for them an antipathy toward the entire membership of the colonists and becomes a factor for them to stand together and legitimize themselves as a nation that is separated from and appreciated by other nations. On the other side, the colonists always think that they have a higher position than the colony people. Since the colonists have better technological development, they consider that they are superior to them and deserve to colonize them. Their superiority mindset has led them to harbor racial prejudice toward the colony people. The colonists think that the colony people have a negative attitude just because they are the colony.    

This research is mainly intended to reveal the old southern pride reflected in the characteristics of Amanda, a southern lady. In conducting this research, the writer uses qualitative research, in which the data are collected in the form of words and the writer is the key instrument. The data were taken from the work itself and other relevant books supporting the data. In analyzing the data, the writer uses a mimetic approach, which considers that literary work is a reflection and imitation of aspects of the universe. The result of this research shows that in the southern part of America before the Civil War, there was a custom called "southern gentility." This is one of the aristocratic values that consists of the manner of speech, the way of wearing the clothes, and the manner of treating the caller: the way to welcome and praise the gentleman caller, his wealth, and his beauty. This southern gentility represents old southern pride or honor. These values are reflected in Amanda’s attitude as an old southerner. However, a change in period is followed by a change in values; the aristocratic values mentioned above are no longer all relevant to the new South's way of life because they faded away after the Civil War in 1861-1865. Amanda, as an old southerner, has always held these values; however, realizing that they are no longer applicable in the present, she attempts to adapt the new southern values. Yet, she is too late to adjust because her son, who possesses new southern values, refuses to accept her advice, so he runs away.

This research intends to find out the struggle of Afro-American women against discrimination in Alice Walker’s The Color Purple. This research is qualitative, which means that the data are in the form of words; thus, the data came from the novel and other books that are relevant to this research. A mimetic approach is used in data analysis to unearth the literary work as an imitation or reflection of aspects of human life, such as sociological, historical, or psychological background that is related to the topic. The result shows that the Afro-American women that are pictured in Celie’s life should struggle against both white and black discrimination. The whites did not accept the existence of the blacks and treated them cruelly through violence, rape, and murder. On the other side, the black man oppressed the Afro-American woman through sex abuse, physical abuse, and economic depression. The black women were living under the protection of men. However, their protection is no better than dominance and subservience. Even though Celie was treated abruptly and disrespectfully by her father and her husband, she could face it bravely, increasing her knowledge and insights, achieving financial success, and being happy in her life. Therefore, she achieves self-esteem, self-acceptance, economic independence, and, above all, freedom for the whole of her life. This is the realization of African American women's desire to gain recognition as individuals who deserve fair and equal treatment.

This investigation aims to learn more about love and hatred in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This research is qualitative since the data are in the form of words rather than numbers. In collecting the data, the writer used primary and secondary sources. The primary source is the play, Romeo and Juliet. The secondary sources are books, the internet, and some relevant articles. In analyzing the data, the writer used a mimetic approach. The result shows that human beings are born to love each other. However, in Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare portrays not only love but also hatred that destroys the lives of human beings who are falling in love with each other. Shakespeare portrays a couple who are not allowed to continue their love relationship because their families are against each other. They are not allowed to meet each other because the families hate each other. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.

This article discusses social criticism in a short story entitled "Kemarau" by Andrea Hirata. This article will focus on mimetic approach research on things or events in short stories related to social criticism in the short story entitled "Kemarau", namely: (1) criticism of political issues, when people feel disappointed about government promises that are not implemented (2) ) criticism of the economy, where when a group of people who live on the outskirts cannot feel the development and progress of infrastructure like in big cities (3) criticism of the negligence factor of the government when it has occupied its position. The government seems to have forgotten the promises it made before taking up its post. From the short story, it can be understood that literary works do not only display positive impressions or messages but can contain absolute things such as criticizing or satirizing.

The results of the research show that there are valuesthe reality of life in the form of social reality, the reality of life's struggle, the reality of the real world contained within short story "a letter in silence" with a mimetic approach.The conclusion of this research is that there is a phenomenon of reality values ​​within short story, in the form of the love struggle of a man without a name for a woman without a name even though it has no beautiful ending.

The research method that I use in this analysis uses a qualitative descriptive method. The resource in this study is the short story Lara Lana by Dee Lestari. The data collection technique used in this study was to read critically and carefully the entire contents of the short story. The data analysis technique is discussing or reviewing the contents of the short story Lara Lana by Dee Lestari. The results of the research are to find intrinsic elements in the form of themes, points of view, plot/plot, setting, characters and characterizations, style of language, and message. You can also find social elements in the phenomena that occur in short stories that are related to real-world life in the form of 1) economic status (poor and rich) 2) bullying 3) love relationships in the novel Lara Lana by Dee Lestari.
