This community service activity was conducted to optimize English language learning through the implementation of the Flipped Classroom model for students of SMP IT Imam Syafi’i 2 Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The activity aimed to enhance students’ learning engagement, autonomy, and comprehension in English through a student-centered instructional approach. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Learning materials in the form of instructional videos and digital resources were provided prior to classroom meetings to enable students to study independently. Face-to-face sessions were then devoted to interactive discussions, collaborative tasks, and communicative practice to reinforce students’ understanding and language skills. The outcomes of the program indicated increased student participation, improved motivation, and better mastery of English materials. The Flipped Classroom model contributed to creating a more active and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, this community service initiative demonstrates that the Flipped Classroom approach can serve as an effective instructional strategy to support English language learning at the junior high school level

This article investigates the effectiveness of cooperative learning using vocabulary flashcards in improving students’ mastery of English adjectives. The research was conducted due to students’ limited vocabulary knowledge. The objective of this article was to examine whether the implementation of a cooperative learning model supported by vocabulary flashcards could enhance students’ adjective mastery and learning engagement. A pre-experimental research design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was employed. The participants consisted of 15 junior high school students enrolled in an English course. Data were collected through pretest, posttest, classroom observation, and a student response questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and N-Gain analysis, while qualitative data were obtained from observation sheets and questionnaire responses. The findings indicate a noticeable improvement in students’ posttest scores compared to their pretest results, with the mean N-Gain score categorized as moderately effective. In addition, observation data revealed high levels of student participation during cooperative learning activities. Questionnaire results further showed positive student responses toward the use of cooperative learning and vocabulary flashcards, particularly in terms of motivation, confidence, and ease of understanding English adjectives. These findings suggest that cooperative learning combined with vocabulary flashcards can effectively support students’ vocabulary development and active engagement. In conclusion, the study provides empirical evidence that cooperative learning facilitates meaningful interaction and knowledge construction, supporting its implementation in English vocabulary instruction. However, future research is recommended to involve larger samples and comparative research designs to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital competencies of junior high school students through a structured workshop on graphic design and photography. The activity was conducted on June 10–11, 2025 at Universitas Ma Chung and involved thirteen students from SMP Insan Amanah accompanied by their teachers. The program was designed based on prior identification of learning needs conducted through coordination with school representatives. The workshop integrated theoretical instruction and hands-on practice covering basic photography concepts such as angle, shot, triangle exposure, and three point lighting, followed by editorial layout training using Canva. Students were guided to edit photographs, arrange layouts, and select appropriate text elements. The results indicated improvements in students’ technical skills, learning engagement, and collaborative behavior. A campus tour conducted at the end of the program provided additional insight into the academic environment of higher education. Overall, the program demonstrated that practice-based learning effectively supports digital skill development among junior high school students.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the artificial intelligence-based application (AI-Based Application) Duolingo in improving vocabulary mastery of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students in Indonesia. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a single-group pre-test and post-test design involving 20 students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 1 Mappakasunggu. Data were collected through vocabulary tests, questionnaires, and classroom observations. The results showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery, marked by an increase in the average score from 61 (fair category) in the pre-test to 78 (good category) in the post-test. Most students gave a positive perception of the use of Duolingo, especially regarding the gamification features, instant feedback, and simple and attractive display, which can increase motivation and learning engagement. The results of the observation also showed that students were more active and enthusiastic in using this application compared to traditional learning methods. Thus, Duolingo can be said to be effective as an AI-based learning medium to improve vocabulary mastery of junior high school students in Indonesia.

Low student achievement in mathematics, particularly in arithmetic sequences and series, has led to decreased learning motivation and participation. Therefore, innovative and engaging instructional strategies are required, one of which is the implementation of ice-breaking activities to reduce boredom and enhance students’ learning engagement. This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing ice breaking on the mathematics learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMK Kesehatan Samarinda in the topic of arithmetic sequences and series. This research employed an experimental method using a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups: an experimental group that received instruction incorporating ice breaking and a control group that did not receive such treatment. The total sample consisted of 60 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a learning achievement test administered as a pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of ice breaking has a significant effect on improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This strategy creates a more active, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment, thereby facilitating students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly arithmetic sequences and series.

This study aims to improve the English speaking skills of students in class XI DPIB B at SMK Negeri 2 Malinau through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The background of this research is the low speaking ability of students, which is characterized by limited vocabulary, lack of confidence, and low participation during English learning activities. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 32 students of class XI DPIB B. Data were collected through speaking performance tests and observations of students’ learning behavior during the implementation of the PBL model. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills, as indicated by the increase in the average score from 64.00 in the pre-test to 68.75 in cycle I and 76.00 in cycle II. Furthermore, the percentage of learning completeness increased from 25% in the pre-test to 81.25% at the end of cycle II. Observational data also revealed positive changes in students’ learning behavior, including higher participation, increased motivation, and greater confidence in speaking English. These findings demonstrate that the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in improving students’ English speaking skills and learning engagement.

This study aims to explore Al-Syarqawi’s concept of learning motivation and its relevance to the development of students’ interest in learning within the framework of modern Islamic education. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a library research method and applies content analysis to Al-Ta’allum: Al-Nadhariyat wa Al-Tatbiqiyyah and other relevant references. The results show that Al-Syarqawi places motivation as a fundamental condition that determines the continuity and success of the learning process. Motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, covers spiritual, psychological, social, and biological dimensions that guide students toward meaningful learning experiences. Al-Syarqawi emphasizes that spiritual motivation should be integrated into the educational process to create balance between intellectual development and moral-spiritual growth. His thought remains relevant to holistic and character-based education, especially in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, which promotes student independence, creativity, and moral responsibility. Thus, this study contributes to enriching Islamic educational thought by providing an integrative perspective that harmonizes spiritual, psychological, and pedagogical values to enhance students’ motivation and learning engagement.

This study aims to analyze the effect of online learning engagement on student satisfaction, with time management as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design, this study involved 150 students from the UPPBJ UT Makassar Program who were selected using cluster sampling techniques. The variables used in this study included online learning engagement, technology perception, and student satisfaction, which were measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Smart PLS version 4.0 software, which included measurement and structural model evaluation to examine convergent, discriminant, and reliability validity. The results showed that online learning engagement did not have a significant effect on student satisfaction, although there was a positive relationship. However, online learning engagement had a significant effect on technology perception, which in turn had a significant effect on student satisfaction. Technology perception played an important role as a mediator in the relationship between online learning engagement and student satisfaction, reinforcing the direct effect. This mediating effect shows that even though online learning engagement does not directly increase satisfaction, perceptions of online learning technology play a crucial role in increasing student satisfaction. This study provides insight into the importance of technology perceptions in online learning.

This study aims to develop, validate, and test the effectiveness of a scaffolding-based e-module integrated with educational games on the topic of market equilibrium to improve students’ problem-solving skills in economics learning. The research utilized the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 72 students from SMA Negeri 1 Kelapa participated in the study, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through validation questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. The results showed that the e-module obtained a very high level of feasibility, with average validation scores of 3.86 from material experts, 3.88 from media experts, 3.95 from teachers, and 3.49 from students, indicating that the product met the quality criteria for instructional media. Furthermore, effectiveness testing revealed that students in the experimental class achieved an N-Gain score of 0.56, categorized as moderate, which was significantly higher than the control class score of 0.30. These results suggest that the scaffolding-based e-module integrated with educational games is both feasible and effective in enhancing students’ problem-solving skills and learning engagement in economics education.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of various innovative learning models on improving student learning outcomes and mathematical skills at the junior high school and senior high school levels. The method used is a literarure study of previous research results that applied learning models such as the Flipped Classroom, Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL), Discovery Learning, Mind Mapping, and other cooperative learning models. The analysis results indicate that these models generally have a positive impact on enhancing students' learning engagement, critical and creative thinking skills, numeracy skills, mathematical communication, and problem-solving abilities. These findings reinforce the urgency of adopting student-centred learning approaches based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Therefore, it is recommended that teachers continue to develop the application of innovative learning models in accordance with the characteristics of students and supported by educational policies that encourage innovation and continuous training. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing more effective and meaningful learning.

The purpose of this research is to determine the significant positive influence of the role-playing learning model on the learning engagement of Christian Religious Education and Character Education among eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used in this study is quantitative research, and the type of research is a pre-experimental design in the form of a "one group pretest-posttest." The population consists of all eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year who are Protestant Christians, totaling 265 students across 8 classes, with a sample size of 30 students selected from class XI-C using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a closed positive questionnaire consisting of 30 items. The results of the data analysis indicate that there is a significant positive influence of the role-playing learning model on the learning engagement of Christian Religious Education and Character Education among eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year. 1) Test requirements analysis: a) the test for the expected relationship is proven with a significant test resulting in thitung > ttabel (α=0.05; dk=n-1=29) which is 9.381 > 2.042 thus indicating a significant effect between variable X and variable Y. b) correlation test results in rxy = 0.845 > rtabel (α = 0.05; ik = 95%; n = 30) which is 0.361. c) regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 71.4%. 2) Effect test: regression equation test results in the regression equation Y = 73.40 + 0.15X. Therefore, H0 is rejected and Ha, which states that there is a positive and significant effect of the role-playing learning model on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education and Moral Education for XI grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the Academic Year 2024/2025, is accepted

The development of digital technology brings great opportunities in the world of education, especially in the health sector. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the technological innovations that is able to integrate virtual objects into the real environment in real-time, providing a more immersive and interactive learning experience. This article aims to explore the integration of AR in anatomy learning based on literature studies from international journals. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study examines various findings from foreign scientific journals regarding the effectiveness, challenges, and potential of using AR in anatomy education. The results of the study show that AR is able to improve students' visual understanding, learning engagement, and information retention. However, there are also challenges in terms of development costs, technology access, and teacher readiness. AR has great potential as a medium for anatomy learning in the digital era, but its implementation requires adequate infrastructure and training support.

The drill method is serious repetitive activities do the same thing to strengthen or hone skills and make it permanent. The aim of this research is 1) To find out how to apply the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit, 2) To find out whether the drill method is able to overcome students’ difficulties in understanding mathematics lessons, 3) To increase students’ learning motivation by applying the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit. The method in this research uses classroom action research.. PTK is an approach to improving education through change by encouraging teachers to think about ttheir own practice so that they are critical of these actors an teachers want to change them. The results of this research are that students’ learning motivation is increasing. This can be seen from the results of the initial test. Learning engagement increased from 30% to 45% at the end of cycle 1 test and increased again at the end of cycle 2 test to 80%.  So from the test result above it can be concluded that learning using the drill method can increase students’ learning motivation in mathematics lessons, the material on operations for calculating fractions can be seen from the increased learning result, so student motivation also increases.

The rapid transformation of higher education driven by the advancement of digital technologies and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of online learning platforms across universities worldwide. This study investigates the relationship between the use of online learning platforms, academic performance, and student engagement among university students. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from students actively participating in online learning environments to analyze how frequency of platform use influences academic outcomes and engagement levels. The results reveal a positive correlation between online learning engagement and academic performance, indicating that students who consistently participate in live sessions, complete assignments, and interact with peers and instructors achieve better academic results. Cognitive and behavioral engagement were found to be the most influential factors contributing to improved learning outcomes, while emotional engagement played a supportive role in maintaining motivation and persistence. Despite these benefits, several challenges were identified, including social isolation, limited face-to-face interaction, and technological barriers that hinder full participation. Comparisons with traditional learning environments highlight that online platforms provide greater flexibility and personalized learning opportunities but lack the immediacy of in-person interaction. Furthermore, differences between local and international contexts underscore the role of infrastructure and institutional readiness in ensuring equitable online learning experiences. The study concludes that effective integration of technology, instructor presence, and collaborative tools can enhance engagement and academic success in digital learning environments. Future research should explore long-term impacts, including the role of gamification and artificial intelligence in sustaining motivation and improving educational outcomes.

Entrepreneurial education (EE) is a process facilitating individuals to recognize, to assess, and to execute business opportunity. Besides, it is also developed as a process to enhance awareness on opportunity recognition, knowledge, self-esteem, and capability to act in various contexts (Morris, Webb, Fu & Singhal, 2013, Jones dan Engish (2004). Entrepreneurial Education has become something beyond business, but also as means or methods to build entreprenurial competences which are also impactful towards the betterment of adaptibility and competitiveness (Allan Gibb, 2002; Mwasalwiba, 2010).
