Infant nutritional status is an important indicator of child health that is influenced by various factors, including maternal characteristics. Maternal education is often considered to play a role in determining infant care and feeding practices. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the mother's education level and infant nutritional status. The study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional analytical observational design. The study sample consisted of 30 mothers and infants aged 0–12 months selected using purposive sampling. Maternal education level was categorized as elementary, secondary, and higher education, while infant nutritional status was determined based on anthropometric indicators according to WHO standards and the position of the Health Card (KMS). Data analysis was performed bivariately using Spearman's rho correlation test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results of the study indicate that there is no significant relationship between the mother's level of education and the nutritional status of the infant (p = 0.575; r = −0.098). The correlation coefficient value indicates a very weak and statistically insignificant relationship. The conclusion of this study indicates that the mother's education level is not a factor directly related to the nutritional status of infants. The nutritional status of infants is likely to be more influenced by other more proximal factors, such as feeding practices, the quality and quantity of food intake, the child's health condition, and the family's environmental and socioeconomic factors.

Background: Constipation is a common health problem among infants aged 6–12 months, which can lead to discomfort, feeding difficulties, and reduced quality of life. Non-pharmacological interventions, such as the I Love You (ILU) massage, have been suggested to improve bowel regularity and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort in infants. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of ILU massage on reducing constipation in infants aged 6–12 months at the South Bulango Health Center. Methods: A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was applied. Data on bowel movement frequency, stool consistency, and abdominal discomfort were collected before and after the intervention using structured observation sheets and caregiver questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using paired t-tests, with statistical significance set at p < 0.05. Results: The results showed a significant increase in bowel movement frequency from 2.1 ± 0.8 times per week before the intervention to 4.5 ± 1.0 times per week after the intervention (p = 0.000). Stool consistency improved from a mean Bristol score of 2.0 ± 0.6 to 4.0 ± 0.7 (p = 0.000), and abdominal discomfort decreased from 3.5 ± 1.0 to 1.2 ± 0.8 (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that ILU massage effectively alleviates constipation symptoms in infants. Conclusion: ILU massage is an effective, safe, and non-invasive method to reduce constipation in infants aged 6–12 months. Involving caregivers in the intervention enhances its effectiveness and supports parent–child bonding, making it suitable for integration into routine infant care at community health centers.

Maternal knowledge of newborn care plays an important role in maintaining neonatal health and preventing early complications. Parity is considered one of the factors that affect the mother's level of knowledge, as previous childbirth experiences can improve the understanding and skills of caring for the baby. However, primipara mothers often face challenges due to limited experience. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parity and newborn care knowledge in primipara mothers at the Tumpunglaung Health Center. The research method uses an analytical quantitative design with a cross-cutting approach. The study population was mothers who had just given birth at the Tumpunglaung Health Center, with a sample of 30 primipara mothers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that included maternal characteristics and newborn care knowledge, including breastfeeding, hygiene, thermoregulation, and red flags. Data analysis was carried out by Chi-square test using SPSS at a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that most primitive mothers had moderate to low levels of knowledge, with a significant relationship between parity and newborn care knowledge. The conclusion of the study confirms the importance of strengthening education and counseling for primitive mothers to improve infant care practices and support neonatal health.

This study explores the meaning and role of the Nahunan tradition in maternal and infant care among the Dayak Ngaju community. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing literature review and field interviews. The findings reveal that Nahunan is not merely a naming ritual, but also symbolizes spiritual protection and social acceptance of the child. The practice involves traditional leaders, herbal remedies, and natural symbols. However, modern influences have diminished the younger generation’s understanding of its values. Preserving local culture within healthcare services is essential to maintaining community identity.

Low Birth Weight (LBW) infants are at high risk for complications and are one of the leading causes of infant mortality in Indonesia, including in Aceh Province, where infant mortality rates are significant. This study aims to analyze the impact of LBW infant care on child development in the working area of Langsa Timur Health Center, Langsa Timur District, Langsa City, Aceh Province, in 2023. The research used a qualitative approach, conducting interviews with mothers and infants with a history of LBW. Data analysis was performed descriptively using univariate analysis to identify the characteristics of mothers and infants, as well as child development. The results showed that the majority of mothers (80%) were under 35 years old, had secondary education (100%), and were housewives (100%). The majority of infants were female (60%), and most had appropriate development (60%). The majority of infants had a history of LBW (60%). The findings suggest that appropriate care for LBW infants plays a crucial role in supporting child development and is expected to contribute to efforts to reduce LBW rates and infant mortality in the region, as well as improving the quality of maternal and child healthcare services.
