Local wisdom, particularly traditional snacks, constitutes an essential part of national cultural identity that needs to be introduced from an early age. However, observations at SDN 1 Tanggungharjo revealed that students' understanding of traditional snacks remains low, compounded by a lack of contextual and engaging visual learning media. This study aims to design an illustrated book titled "Belajar Jajanan Tradisional" (Learning Traditional Snacks) as a local wisdom-based educational medium for grades 3–6 students at SDN 1 Tanggungharjo. The Design Thinking method was employed through five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data were collected through direct observation, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires. The outcome is a 20-page digital illustrated book in A5 PDF format covering four traditional snacks — klepon, dadar gulung, apem, and kue lapis — with content encompassing their origins, philosophy, cultural values, ingredients, and preparation processes. The applied design elements include character personification, vector cartoon style, bright color palettes based on the snacks' natural colors, rounded sans-serif typography, and a charactercentered layout tailored to the cognitive characteristics of students aged 9–12 years. Trial results demonstrated that the illustrated book effectively enhanced students' understanding of and interest in traditional snacks, while receiving positive feedback from teachers as a contextual and meaningful supplementary medium for thematic learning.

The Society 5.0 era demands increased student health literacy as an essential competency. However, previous research has tended to focus only on the health education aspect and has not comprehensively examined the integration of technology-based health education management. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of technology-based health education management innovations and identify key factors influencing their successful implementation. This study used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through a survey of 200 students, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 teachers and the principal. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using a thematic approach to strengthen the interpretation of the results. The results indicate that technology-based health education management innovations have a significant impact on improving student health literacy. Furthermore, it was found that successful implementation is influenced by five main factors: school institutional support, availability of technological infrastructure, teacher training, student motivation, and parental involvement. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of managerial and technological approaches in health education, tested through a mixed methods approach. These findings confirm that successful health literacy improvement is determined not only by the use of technology, but also by organizational readiness and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The implications of this research provide theoretical contributions to the development of technology-based health education management models and practical recommendations for educational institutions facing the challenges of Society 5.0.

Cases of sexual violence against early childhood in Indonesia remain high, while children's understanding of body boundaries and parents' readiness to provide sexual education are still limited. This study aims to design an educational medium in the form of motion graphics to convey body boundary concepts to young children through parental guidance. The research employs a qualitative method with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) approach, which includes the stages of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. Data collection techniques consist of literature study, observation, and questionnaires conducted in the Kejawan Putih Tambak area. The findings indicate that children still have difficulty understanding body boundary concepts, while parents are aware of the importance of early sexual education but feel hesitant and uncomfortable delivering it. The developed motion graphics media is considered effective as it presents information in an engaging, communicative, and easily understandable way. Therefore, motion graphics can serve as an effective solution to assist parents in delivering sexual education to children from an early age.

Proper drug disposal is often perceived as a trivial matter by the public when dealing with medications that are no longer needed. However, improper disposal can effect on the economy, public health, and the environment. Therefore, it is essential to educate the public to improve their knowledge regarding appropriate drug disposal methods. Previous studies have shown that educational media can effectively increase public awareness and understanding. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of educational leaflets in enhancing public knowledge about proper drug disposal. This experimental study involved an intervention using educational leaflets. A total of 100 respondents participated in the study. The intervention was conducted over three consecutive days. Pretest and posttest data were collected to assess changes in knowledge. Univariate analysis was used to describe respondent characteristics, while bivariate analysis (Wilcoxon test) was employed to compare pretest and posttest results. Pretest data indicated that the majority of respondents had only sufficient knowledge about drug disposal. Following the intervention, the number of respondents with sufficient knowledge decreased, while those categorized as having good knowledge increased. Statistically, a p-value of 0.000 demonstrated that the use of leaflets significantly improved knowledge level. Based on the results of this study, educational interventions, such as the distribution of leaflets, can effectively enhance public knowledge about proper drug disposal.

Students of the Indonesian School of Jeddah (SIJ) are predominantly categorized as Third Culture Kids (TCK) who face sociocultural challenges and complex health determinants, including a high risk of dental caries and limited character monitoring outside the classroom. This transnational community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated educational model using audio-visual media through the “Happy Teeth, Bright Smile” campaign and self-monitoring through the “My Adventure Journal” in improving oral health literacy and students’ character behavior. The study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with mixed methods involving 155 elementary and junior high school students. Dental knowledge data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, while journal compliance was calculated descriptively using the Grand Mean method and triangulated with content analysis of parental feedback. The results showed that elementary students’ compliance with daily character missions increased by 28.31%, particularly in the discipline dimension. Among junior high school students, multimedia intervention significantly improved clinical preventive knowledge (p < 0.001), with mean scores increasing from 77.00 to 90.20. Parental feedback indicated improvements in self-regulation, responsibility, and self-confidence. The study concludes that optimizing the Tripartite Partnership among university students, schools, and parents is effective in strengthening psychosocial resilience and students’ basic health independence in a transnational environment.

A common health problem, especially in developing countries, is anemia. This is common among adolescent girls due to their lack of knowledge about anemia. This puts them at risk of developing anemia, particularly because menstruation is a contributing factor. Providing health education is expected to change behaviors toward a healthy lifestyle and contribute to preventing anemia among adolescent girls. This community service activity was held on May 26, 2026, at SMK Bhakti Indonesia Medika, and was attended by female students of childbearing age. The methods used included lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and sharing sessions. Pretests and posttests were used as evaluation materials to measure the increase in students' knowledge. The average pretest score was 7, while the average posttest score was 12, indicating a 5 point increase in knowledge about anemia among adolescent girls. The students demonstrated interest and enthusiasm during this activity. The results and conclusions of the e-booklet-based education program proved to be an effective alternative medium for increasing students' knowledge about anemia prevention. Substance and prescription drug misuse among adolescents continues to escalate and demands targeted preventive strategies within the school setting. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge about the hazards of drug abuse through an interactive, school-based educational intervention. The program was conducted on 11 November 2026 at SMA Negeri 7 Kota Batam, involving fifty grade-X students as participants. A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The intervention combined interactive lectures, real-case illustrations, and two-way discussion, with knowledge measured using a content-validated questionnaire covering ten indicators. The mean score improved from 55.2 (pretest) to 86.3 (posttest), a gain of 31.1 points, while the proportion of correct answers across indicators rose from 48.6-62.9% to 80.0-91.4%. The largest gains appeared on items concerning rational drug use and the importance of professional health guidance, whereas the legal-consequence indicator improved more modestly. Interactive, contextually relevant education proves effective in elevating adolescent knowledge of drug abuse hazards, with stronger gains on experience-near content than on abstract regulatory aspects.
