The development of digital technology has driven significant economic transformation in various countries, including Muslim countries. Economic digitalization offers various opportunities, such as increased transaction efficiency, expanded market access, and strengthened financial inclusion. However, this development also presents various challenges, such as low Islamic financial literacy, the risk of technology misuse, and the emergence of economic practices inconsistent with Islamic principles. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic economic values in supporting the economic resilience of communities in Muslim countries in the digital era. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with library research methods. Data were obtained from various literature sources, such as scientific journals, books, academic articles, and reports relevant to Islamic economics, economic resilience, and the digital economy for the 2021–2026 period. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic economic values, such as justice, honesty, trustworthiness, and the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (gharar), and maysir (gambling), play a crucial role in creating more transparent, ethical, and sustainable digital economic activities. Furthermore, the development of Sharia-compliant fintech, Sharia-compliant digital financial services, and Sharia-compliant business platforms also supports increased financial inclusion and community economic resilience. Therefore, integrating digital technology and Islamic economic values can be a strategy for strengthening the economic resilience of communities in Muslim countries.

The Society 5.0 era brings major changes in various aspects of life, including the economic and financial systems. The integration of digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Financial Technology (Fintech) has created both opportunities and challenges for the development of the sharia economy. This article aims to: (1) analyze the challenges of the sharia economy in the Society 5.0 era, (2) identify opportunities that can be utilized to strengthen the sharia economy, and (3) formulate strategies for strengthening the sharia economy based on digital transformation and the maqashid sharia. This research uses a qualitative approach through literature study (library research) by analyzing various journals, books, reports of sharia financial institutions, and relevant official documents. The results show that the sharia economy faces challenges in the form of low sharia financial literacy, limited human resources, unequal access to technology, and regulations that are not yet fully adaptive to digital developments. However, Society 5.0 also opens up significant opportunities through the development of Islamic Fintech, the digitalization of the halal industry, the optimization of digital zakat and waqf, and the strengthening of Islamic financial inclusion. Therefore, strategies to strengthen the Islamic economy need to be implemented through increasing Islamic digital literacy, developing an Islamic Fintech ecosystem, strengthening Governance based on the principles of Islamic principles (maqasid) and synergy between the government, academia, industry, and the community.

Food waste is still a significant problem, affecting food security, the environment, and the global economy. More than 53% of food produced becomes waste. Food waste worldwide totals 1.3 trillion annually. One of the districts with a high food waste rate is Banyumas. The most significant contributor to waste in the Banyumas region in 2021 was food waste, accounting for 39.85%, with much of it generated by restaurants. Restaurants play an essential role in managing food waste, as most food discarded at the preparation stage cannot be reused. This study aims to analyze the relationship between demographics and food waste reduction to support a digital technology approach from a restaurant perspective. This study used quantitative methods. The respondents of this study were 100 restaurants located in Banyumas, including A La Carte, Ramesan, Tegal, and Padang, and the data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results show that demographic factors, including income, age, restaurant opening hours, and the prices of best-selling foods, influence food waste in restaurants. The recommendation is for restaurants to prepare and plan menus. This will affect food prices, opening hours, and revenue. Some restaurants can increase their knowledge of handling food waste.

Although MSMEs are crucial to the economy, the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises is often hampered by suboptimal financial governance. Low utilization of financial information, lack of separation between personal and business finances, and unstructured cash flow management are challenges that can affect long-term business sustainability. This quantitative study aims to evaluate the impact of financial record keeping, capital planning, and cash cycle management on the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises in Mekargalih Village, Garut Regency. Using a survey method and saturated sampling technique, data from 70 business owners were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that financial record keeping does not have a significant impact on business sustainability, indicating that recording activities are still administrative in nature and have not been optimally utilized as a basis for business decision-making. Conversely, capital planning and cash cycle management have been shown to have a positive and significant impact on business sustainability. Business owners who are able to plan capital needs and maintain smooth cash flow tend to be more able to maintain the stability of their business operations. Simultaneously, these three variables contribute 45.2% to business sustainability. This finding confirms that the ability to allocate capital andKeywords: business continuity; financial records; capital planning; cash cycle; micro-enterprises.

The shift in the structure of modern society's economy from an agrarian base to a service- and expertise-based one has given rise to new forms of income, namely salaries, wages, and professional honorariums, which are not explicitly regulated in classical zakat fiqh. This phenomenon has generated the discourse on professional zakat (zakat profesi) as one of the central issues in contemporary fiqh muamalah. This article aims to analyze the legal basis, the methods for determining nisab and haul, and the map of scholarly disagreement (ikhtilaf) regarding professional zakat, while also examining its relevance to the objective of social justice in Islam. This study employs a qualitative method with a normative-juridical approach through library research, examining the Qur'an, hadith, legal maxims (qawa'id fiqhiyyah), fatwas of religious institutions, and journal articles published within the last five years. The findings show that the majority of contemporary scholars, including Yusuf al-Qardhawi, obligate professional zakat based on the general implication of zakat verses and the method of analogical reasoning (qiyas), likening it to the zakat on gold and silver in terms of nisab (equivalent to 85 grams of gold, at a rate of 2.5%) or to agricultural zakat in terms of the timing of payment. However, some scholars, particularly those adhering to the principle of tauqifiyyah in worship, reject the obligation of professional zakat as a distinct category because it lacks explicit textual basis. This disagreement reflects the methodological tension between textual and contextual approaches in legal reasoning (istinbath al-ahkam), while also demonstrating the flexibility of Islamic fiqh in responding to socio-economic dynamics without abandoning the fundamental principles of sharia. Keywords: Professional Zakat, Contemporary Fiqh, Qiyas, Nisab And Haul, Scholarly Disagreement.

This research investigates the integration of Sound Governance principles within the sustainable tourism policy cycle as a mechanism to mitigate institutional fragmentation and evaluation inefficiencies in developing economies. Adopting a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, the study establishes a multidimensional evaluation framework congruent with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Policy performance is rigorously analyzed across five strategic domains: Economy, Social-Welfare, Culture-Education, Environment, and Governance. The quantitative methodology employs 17 adapted SDG indicators to assess policy efficacy, while the subsequent qualitative phase utilizes semi-structured interviews and stakeholder mapping to deconstruct complex power dynamics within multi-actor co-management structures. The empirical findings demonstrate that Sound Governance—predicated on transparency and accountability—acts as a fundamental catalyst for policy effectiveness. It significantly enhances destination sustainability through a structured input-process-output-outcome-impact pathway. Evidence from the case study of Penglipuran Village, Bali, validates these results, showing that while indigenous institutional legitimacy bolsters social responsiveness, it remains susceptible to economic dependencies driven by overtourism. Ultimately, this study asserts that embedding SDGs into the policy evaluation cycle elevates assessments from perfunctory administrative exercises to strategic instruments essential for ecosystem preservation and long-term demand stability. These insights establish Sound Governance as a strategic intangible asset, providing significant theoretical contributions to development administration and offering pragmatic frameworks for policy-makers managing sustainable destinations in competitive global markets.

Kampung Batik Okra, located in Kranggan Urban Village, Bubutan District, Surabaya City, represents a community-based creative economy initiative officially inaugurated on 28 December 2022 by the Surabaya City Government. This study aims to analyze the facilitating role of the urban village administration in strengthening the creative economic capacity of residents through the batik industry, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors for community empowerment in Kampung Batik Okra. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Informants were purposively selected, encompassing village government officials, batik group administrators, artisans, and academic facilitators. The findings reveal that the urban village administration performs three principal facilitative roles: (1) facilitation of training and skill enhancement; (2) facilitation of market access and promotion; and (3) facilitation of multi-stakeholder partnerships. These roles contribute significantly to the strengthening of residents’ creative economic capacity, as evidenced by an increase in active artisans, product diversification, and expanded marketing networks. Nevertheless, limited human resource capacity within the village administration, inconsistent community participation, and restricted access to capital remain structural barriers requiring more systemic policy interventions. This research offers a conceptual framework of empowerment-based facilitating roles for urban villages, which may serve as a reference for developing creative economy villages in Indonesian urban areas.

One key measure of a region's economic growth is the employment rate, as it reflects the ability of the economy to absorb labor and improve community welfare. In Jambi Province, employment opportunities are influenced by several factors, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), population growth, and the Human Development Index (HDI). This study aims to analyze the effects of GRDP, population growth, and HDI on employment growth rates across regencies and cities in Jambi Province. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis covering 11 regencies and cities during the period 2017–2023. The findings indicate that GRDP growth, population growth, and HDI simultaneously influence employment levels. Partially, population growth and HDI have significant effects on employment, indicating that improvements in human development and demographic dynamics contribute to labor absorption. Meanwhile, economic growth, as measured by GRDP, has a relatively small negative effect on employment. This suggests that economic expansion does not always generate proportional employment opportunities, possibly due to structural changes and technological developments. Therefore, policies aimed at improving human capital and labor market conditions are essential to support sustainable employment growth in Jambi Province.

The rapid development of information technology drives various business sectors, including the beauty and health industry, to adopt digital systems in their operational management. A Beauty Clinic, a medium-scale aesthetic clinic, faces significant operational challenges in managing human resources, finance, and digital marketing in an integrated manner. This study aims to analyze the existing manual operational system of A Beauty Clinic using the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service), design and configure an Odoo ERP Community Edition implementation integrating the HR, Invoicing/Point of Sale, and Social Marketing modules, and evaluate the operational efficiency improvements achieved. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method and Rapid Application Development (RAD) as the system development methodology. Data was collected through direct observation and semi-structured interviews. The results show that the manual system experienced critical problems across all six PIECES dimensions. Post-implementation evaluation indicates an estimated 80% reduction in the secretary's administrative workload (from 20–25 hours to 3–5 hours per month), over 90% reduction in payroll error frequency, and an 87% reduction in transaction processing time per cashier transaction. The implementation of role-based access control and complete audit trails fundamentally addressed the security vulnerabilities identified in the as-is analysis. This study demonstrates that Odoo Community Edition is an effective, comprehensive, and cost-efficient ERP solution for small and medium-scale beauty clinics seeking to transform from fragmented manual systems to integrated, data-driven information systems.

This study examines the role of the creative economy in enhancing sustainable tourism potential in Pampang Cultural Village, Samarinda, Indonesia, and identifies strategic priorities for its development. Pampang Cultural Village is recognized for its rich cultural heritage preserved by the Dayak Kenyah community, which serves as a valuable tourism asset. Despite this potential, the contribution of creative economy activities to tourism development has not been fully optimized. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis is needed to formulate effective development strategies. This research employs a mixed qualitative–quantitative approach using the SWOT-AHP method. SWOT analysis is utilized to identify internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats affecting creative economy development. Subsequently, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to determine the priority level of each strategic factor and alternative strategy. The findings indicate that the village possesses significant creative economy potential in cultural performances, handicrafts, culinary products, traditional fashion, and cultural souvenirs. Cultural authenticity emerges as the primary strength, while limited innovation capacity and digital marketing skills remain the major weaknesses. The results further reveal that the highest-priority strategy is the development of innovative creative tourism products rooted in Dayak Kenyah cultural heritage while preserving cultural authenticity. This strategy should be supported by digital promotion, human resource capacity building, stakeholder collaboration, and improvements in tourism infrastructure to achieve sustainable tourism development.

The high volume of fishery waste often poses an environmental burden if not managed appropriately. Conversely, the circular economy concept offers sustainable solutions aligned with Maqasid Shariah principles in environmental preservation (Hifz al-Alam). This study aims to educate and implement the processing of fish waste into high-quality animal feed that meets halal standards (halalan thayyiban). This research employs a qualitative approach using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method. The stages include socializing the concept of Sharia circular economy, technical training on waste processing, and nutritional content testing of the feed. The findings indicate an 80% increase in community understanding regarding the economic value of waste. Technically, the fish waste processing successfully produced an alternative animal feed with high protein content, free from najis (impurity) through a purification process according to Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh). This education proves that the integration of circular economy and Sharia principles not only reduces environmental impact but also creates sustainable economic added value for local communities.
