The Society 5.0 era brings major changes in various aspects of life, including the economic and financial systems. The integration of digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Financial Technology (Fintech) has created both opportunities and challenges for the development of the sharia economy. This article aims to: (1) analyze the challenges of the sharia economy in the Society 5.0 era, (2) identify opportunities that can be utilized to strengthen the sharia economy, and (3) formulate strategies for strengthening the sharia economy based on digital transformation and the maqashid sharia. This research uses a qualitative approach through literature study (library research) by analyzing various journals, books, reports of sharia financial institutions, and relevant official documents. The results show that the sharia economy faces challenges in the form of low sharia financial literacy, limited human resources, unequal access to technology, and regulations that are not yet fully adaptive to digital developments. However, Society 5.0 also opens up significant opportunities through the development of Islamic Fintech, the digitalization of the halal industry, the optimization of digital zakat and waqf, and the strengthening of Islamic financial inclusion. Therefore, strategies to strengthen the Islamic economy need to be implemented through increasing Islamic digital literacy, developing an Islamic Fintech ecosystem, strengthening Governance based on the principles of Islamic principles (maqasid) and synergy between the government, academia, industry, and the community.

The rapid development of digital service platforms, particularly online motorcycle taxi services, has transformed modern economic transaction patterns, where the relationship between drivers and consumers is categorized as an ijarah (service lease) contract. However, in practice, various forms of breach of contract (wanprestasi) frequently occur and potentially harm one of the parties. This study aims to analyze the concept of the ijarah contract, identify the forms of wanprestasi, and review them based on Sharia Economic Law principles. This qualitative normative research employs a literature-based approach, utilizing secondary data from classical fiqh books, DSN-MUI fatwas, the Indonesian Civil Code, and reputable academic journals, which are analyzed descriptively-analytically. The findings reveal that breaches occur in three typologies: unilateral cancellation by consumers (ta'addi), negligence and fictitious account manipulation by drivers (taqshir and tadlis), and disproportionate cancel fee policies by platforms, indicating structural dzulm. From a sharia perspective, the settlement of wanprestasi requires compensation (ta'widh) calculated based on actual loss without riba elements, while classifying technical obstacles as force majeure under a fault-based liability approach. This study implies the need to reconstruct the digital ecosystem so that it is not only formally valid but also enforces substantive justice based on maslahah (public interest), al-‘adl (justice), mas, uliyyah (responsibility), and tawazun (proportional balance)

This study explores how Generation Z in Indonesia produces and spreads narratives of micro-interfaith harmony through the TikTok platform. Amid growing social polarization in digital spaces, casual and personal tolerance content created by Gen Z offers a new approach to building social cohesion. Using a qualitative netnography method, this research observes 20 viral videos with over 10,000 views during the 2024-2025 Ramadan period, including the War Takjil trend and the #LoginLintasIman campaign, as forms of affective digital citizenship. The findings reveal that TikTok’s algorithmic logic, driven by emotional engagement, allows grassroots narratives of tolerance to reach broad audiences organically. Within this ecosystem, values of pluralism and solidarity are not shaped by formal institutions but emerge from the participatory dynamics and digital habitus of Gen Z. This study concludes that a new form of digital interfaith citizenship is emerging, termed algorithmic harmony, where tolerance is fostered through affective interactions, viral distribution, and the everyday media practices of youth. The findings provide new insights for media studies, diversity education, and digital tolerance discourse.

Cooperatives in indonesia constitute the foundational pillar of the national economy and hold a constitutionally strategic position. However, their existence is currently under pressure from the hegemony of modern markets, which are dominated by large capital interests and the penetration of digital technology. This study aims to provide a comprehensive mapping of the internal strengths and fundamental weaknesses of cooperatives within the Indonesian market system through a systematic literature review. The analysis examines 24 selected scholarly journal articles published between 2019 and 2026 to ensure the data remains relevant to current economic dynamics. The synthesis indicates that the primary strengths of cooperatives lie in their social capital, the principle of kinship (asas kekeluargaan) which fosters member loyalty, and their potential for digital adaptation as a tool to mitigate economic recessions and the dominance of multinational corporations. Conversely, the findings confirm chronic, unresolved weaknesses, including low managerial professionalism, limited access to capital, and small economies of scale that hinder price efficiency in competitive markets. External challenges, such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and shifting consumer behaviors, demand that cooperatives undergo immediate structural transformation. This article concludes that the key to cooperative sustainability in the face of modern market hegemony lies in the implementation of agile strategic management, service digitalization, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships. Policy recommendations are directed toward reinforcing regulations that protect the cooperative ecosystem without compromising its inherent competitiveness within the market mechanism.

This study examines the implementation of Islamic business ethics in e-commerce transactions, with a specific focus on the Shopee platform. The research is motivated by the increasing growth of digital commerce accompanied by various ethical issues such as product misrepresentation, lack of transparency, and weak accountability of sellers. The objective of this study is to analyze how ethical principles, including honesty, fairness, and responsibility, are applied in online transactions. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review method by analyzing 20 relevant scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2026. The findings reveal that although the platform provides adequate transactional systems, ethical violations are still prevalent, primarily due to information asymmetry between sellers and consumers. The development of digital technology has transformed trading patterns through the emergence of live shopping, a phenomenon that enables real-time interaction between sellers and consumers. Although it offers marketing efficiency, this model poses significant legal risks, including misleading information, promotional manipulation, and product non-conformity. This study aims to analyze legal certainty in consumer protection within live shopping transactions, examine the forms of business actors’ liability for consumer losses, and identify obstacles to regulatory implementation along with efforts to strengthen supervision. The research method employed is normative legal research using both a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The results indicate that legal certainty in consumer protection within this ecosystem is grounded in the integration of Law No. 8 of 1999 (Consumer Protection Law) as the lex generalis and Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019 (Electronic Commerce/PMSE) as the lex specialis, which recognizes the validity of real-time electronic contracts. The legal liability of business actors is strict liability in nature, in accordance with Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Law, and may also be construed as a tort (Article 1365 of the Civil Code) in cases involving distortion of visual information. However, the effectiveness of these regulations is hindered by the ephemeral nature of transactions and low levels of digital literacy. This study recommends the implementation of technology-based supervisory systems (suptech), strengthening the oversight function of platforms (PPMSE), and policy synchronization between the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in standardizing business actor verification to ensure the security of the digital commerce ecosystem.

This research examines the transition from brand awareness to brand meaning within saturated digital ecosystems, specifically focusing on how global brands like Pepsi and Apple navigate the "paradox of ubiquity." The objective is to identify the mechanisms through which brand authenticity and cultural resonance cultivate long-term loyalty and prevent product substitution. Utilizing a qualitative analysis of contemporary branding frameworks and case studies, the study demonstrates that mere visibility is insufficient in modern markets; instead, consumers demand a "glass box" alignment between internal corporate culture and external values. Findings reveal that brand authenticity, characterized by continuity and integrity, serves as a critical defense against commoditization by fostering self-congruity between the brand and the consumer's identity. The implications suggest that brand management must pivot toward narrative-driven communication and community-centric strategies that prioritize cultural salience over vanity reach metrics. Ultimately, the study concludes that in the digital age, a brand’s significance in a consumer's life is the primary driver of resilient brand equity.

Algorithmic technologies are widely used in contemporary marketing strategies due to the growth of the digital economy. Digital companies can evaluate consumer activity data in real time and provide highly personalized digital experiences thanks to artificial intelligence-based solutions, especially machine learning. In addition to examining how algorithmic governance and surveillance capitalism affect algorithmic personalization, this study looks into how these mechanisms affect consumer engagement, purchase intention, and perceptions of hyperreality within the digital market ecosystem. 356 active users of digital platforms, such as social media and e-commerce, were surveyed as part of this study's quantitative methodology. The links between the constructs in the suggested conceptual model were examined through data analysis using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that the development of algorithmic personalization systems is strongly influenced by data-driven capitalism practices and algorithmic governance. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that algorithmic personalization improves customers' sense of hyperreality and increases their interaction with digital platforms. Additionally, the study shows that the most powerful factor influencing purchase intention is consumer interaction. By combining viewpoints from technology, the political economics of data, and hyperreality theory into a thorough empirical framework, these findings add to the body of knowledge on digital marketing.

This study aimsmto examineiin depthvthe perspective of information technology law and human rights on the phenomenon of political buzzers on social media within the context of digital development in the era of globalization. This research is motivated by the rapid advancement of information technology, which has brought significant changes in various aspects of society, including the political sphere that increasingly utilizes social media as a means of communication and information dissemination. The phenomenon of political buzzers has become a controversial issue, particularly during election periods, as it is often associated with the spread of inaccurate information, defamation, hate speech, and the manipulation of public opinion that may harm society and disrupt social stability. This study employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that political buzzers generally operate under the justification of freedom of expression as part of human rights. However, such freedom is not absolute and must be limited to prevent violations of others' rights and to maintain public order. In this regard, information technology law in Indonesia, particularly through regulations governing digital activities, plays an important role in controlling deviant buzzer practices. Nevertheless, the absence of specific regulations explicitly governing political buzzers has resulted in less optimal law enforcement. Therefore, strengthening regulations and increasing public awareness in the wise use of social media are necessary to create a healthy, responsible, and sustainable digital ecosystem.
