In the current digital era, social media has become an open space filled with streams of information, including invalid ones. Santri, as the future generation of the ummah, are required to have critical thinking skills to filter, analyze, and make wise decisions. Islamic boarding schools as traditional Islamic educational institutions are faced with the challenge to remain relevant amidst technological developments. This study aims to: 1) Find out the strategies of Pondok Pesantren Daruttaqwa III Gresik in improving students’ critical thinking skills toward social media developments, 2) Identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the strategy, 3) Understand the role of Pondok Pesantren Daruttaqwa III in integrating traditional values with modern approaches to sharpen students’ critical thinking skills. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the strategies include: 1) Integration of digital literacy and critical thinking in the formal education curriculum, 2) Character building and supervision in the dormitory environment as a key strategy, 3) Strengthening through extracurricular activities, awareness campaigns, and limited training. Supporting factors include strong leadership, dedication from teachers and administrators, presence of traditional Islamic values as ethical foundations, and increased student awareness. Obstacles include time limitations, lack of structured materials, varying digital literacy levels, and the rapid evolution of social media. The pesantren has successfully integrated Islamic values such as tabayyun, adab, amanah, and husnudzon with modern approaches.

Public service performance serves as a crucial measure of how effectively government agencies provide services to the public. Rising expectations from the public compel governments to ensure that services are delivered in an efficient, open, responsible, and responsive manner. Within the realm of public administration reform, the standard of public services has emerged as a key issue for governments looking to enhance public confidence and governance. The Indonesian government has created the Public Service Index (Indeks Pelayanan Publik/IPP) as a tool to assess the performance of public services. The IPP functions as an all-encompassing measurement system to evaluate the quality, efficiency, and responsibility associated with public service provision across government entities. This research intends to explore the definition of public service performance, the legal framework that regulates public services in Indonesia, and the metrics employed for calculating the Public Service Index. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method and a literature review approach, evaluating various pertinent books, regulations, and scholarly articles concentrating on public service management and performance evaluation. The results indicate that the Public Service Index plays a vital role in assessing service quality, institutional effectiveness, and the degree of public satisfaction. Additionally, the application of the IPP measurements fosters transparency, bolsters accountability, and encourages ongoing enhancements in public service delivery. Therefore, enhancing public service performance necessitates robust regulatory backing, institutional dedication, and the utilization of clear and quantifiable performance metrics to guarantee enduring improvements in service quality.

Public service quality has emerged as a crucial metric for assessing how well the government functions and the efficiency of its administration. Recently, rising expectations from the public have led gov-ernments to offer services that are open, responsible, effective, and attuned to citizens' needs. Alongside administrative changes and the evolution of governance models focused on efficiency and citizen satisfaction, the appetite for high-quality public services has surged. Nonetheless, numerous public entities continue to struggle with providing reliable and top-notch services due to a lack of defined service norms and systems for measuring performance. The purpose of this research is to investigate ways to enhance public service quality by establishing robust service standards and quantifiable performance metrics. The study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology, drawing on a review of relevant lit-erature from the past seven years. Multiple academic sources were analyzed to uncover essential ideas, frameworks, and empirical evidence concerning public service management, the enhancement of service quality, and the assessment of performance in governmental organizations. The results show that adopting well-defined service standards, along with measurable performance metrics, can greatly en-hance service effectiveness, accountability, and overall public satisfaction. Additionally, merging prin-ciples of service excellence with quantifiable indicators promotes transparency, boosts organizational performance, and fosters ongoing improvements in service delivery. The research concludes that to enhance public service quality, a structured framework for service standards, ongoing performance assessments, and a firm organizational dedication to innovation and service enhancement are necessary.

This research focuses on the strategic role of the people's market as a driver of the regional economy and a source of Regional Original Income (PAD), by taking a case study of the arrangement of the people's market by the Ciamis Regency MSME Office. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Regional Government of Ciamis Regency implements five main strategies in structuring the people's market, including optimizing development and revitalization with ease of access, market development based on potential and local characteristics, cooperation with investors, facilitation and guaranteeing the ease of capital lending through banking, and market promotion using digital technology. This strategy has a significant impact on the achievement of PAD. The achievement of PAD from the people's market sector of Ciamis Regency was recorded to exceed the target in the period of 2015 to 2017, reaching 113.4%, 128.0%, and 121.9%, respectively, although it decreased in 2018 to 87.2%. To optimize regional levy revenue, these findings conclude the need to improve and improve the regional levy management system to support the performance of the apparatus, the implementation of routine activities such as coordination between agencies and socialization to business actors, as well as increasing the discipline, dedication, and honesty of fiscal officials in carrying out their main duties and functions proportionately.

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a platform for student dedication to the community that not only focuses on health aspects but also on strengthening cultural values and character education. The KKN activities of Abdurrab University in Salo Timur Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency were carried out by integrating health socialization and the preservation of local culture. The main programs include socialization on bullying at UPT SD Negeri 001 Salo, Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), and the utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) at MTS Darul Falah Salo, as well as reproductive health socialization and higher education information at SMA Negeri 1 Salo. This program is enhanced with maghrib recitation activities and Malay cultural training (kompang and rebana) aimed at instilling religious values while preserving cultural heritage. The results of the activities show an increased understanding among students and the community regarding health issues, as well as a high enthusiasm for activities that combine education, religiosity, and culture. The film Habibie & Ainun not only presents a love story of two important national figures but also represents Indonesia’s historical journey through an emotional and inspiring personal narrative. The film combines elements of romance with social, political, and national development contexts, giving it significant potential as a popular medium for historical learning. This study aims to analyze how the film can be utilized as a medium for historical education, particularly in instilling values of nationalism, exemplary leadership, and the spirit of innovation among the wider public, especially the younger generation. This research employs a qualitative approach using narrative analysis to explore visual representations, character dialogues, and storylines that portray B.J. Habibie’s struggle to develop the national technology industry amid political and social dynamics and limited resources. The results indicate that Habibie & Ainun functions as an effective historical learning medium because it successfully connects historical facts with emotional elements that are easily understood and accepted by the public. Through the depiction of the main character’s exemplary qualities, values of dedication, and love for the nation, the film makes a significant contribution to strengthening national identity and enhancing public appreciation of contemporary Indonesian history.

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the influence of career development on organizational commitment. Based on the analysis of various scientific articles, career development is an important approach in human resource management, which focuses on improving employees’ skills, enthusiasm, and readiness to face job challenges and promotion opportunities. On the other hand, organizational commitment refers to the emotional connection that employees have with their workplace, which includes aspects of emotional attachment, obligation, and enduring bonds. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that many previous studies have found a strong and positive correlation between career development and organizational commitment. Workers who are aware of support for their career development, including training programs, mentoring, or predetermined career paths, generally show a higher level of dedication to their organization. Furthermore, various studies have shown that career development can also have an indirect effect on organizational commitment through mediating factors such as job satisfaction, work motivation, and employee performance. However, several studies have shown that career development does not always have a significant impact on organizational commitment, particularly in organizations without a structured career system or when employees have negative perceptions of career opportunities. These varying results highlight the existence of contextual factors that influence the relationship between variables. Overall, this study offers in-depth insights into the significance of career development as a strategic factor in enhancing organizational commitment, along with suggestions for organizations and future researchers conducting similar studies.
