Fruit rot disease is one of the main obstacles in the cultivation of guava (Psidium guajava) because it directly reduces the quality and selling value of the harvest. This research aims to identify and characterize the fungus that causes fruit rot disease in guava. The research was carried out by observing disease symptoms in the field, isolating the pathogen from infected fruit, as well as macroscopic and microscopic characterization of the fungus using Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) media. The results of the research show that the initial symptoms are blackish brown spots on the surface of the fruit which develop into sunken lesions and spread to cause the fruit to dry out. The fungal isolate has white colonies with a flower-like pattern and forms black aservuli. Microscopic observation shows that the conidia are fusiform, insulated, with darker pigmented middle cells and have a transparent appendix. Based on these morphological characters, the fungus that causes fruit rot disease in guava is thought to belong to the genus Pestalotiopsis sp. Further research is needed through molecular approaches, such as PCR or DNA sequencing, as well as pathogenicity tests to strengthen and confirm the role of this fungus as the main cause of fruit rot disease.

This study investigates the effectiveness of an integrative learning model in improving Indonesian literature appreciation skills among high school students. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 120 eleventh-grade students from two public high schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. The participants were divided into two groups: the experimental group, which received instruction through the integrative learning model, and the control group, which followed traditional teaching methods. The integrative model was designed to combine language skills development—such as reading comprehension, vocabulary enrichment, and critical writing—with structured literary analysis focusing on themes, characterization, style, and cultural context. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure learning outcomes, observation sheets to monitor classroom activities, and student questionnaires to capture perceptions and engagement levels. The results indicated that students in the experimental group experienced a significantly higher improvement in literature appreciation skills compared to those in the control group (p < 0.05). They demonstrated enhanced abilities to interpret literary works, analyze narrative elements, and articulate critical responses to Indonesian contemporary literature. Observation data revealed that the integrative approach fostered more active participation, collaborative learning, and deeper reflection during classroom discussions. Moreover, student feedback highlighted increased motivation, enjoyment, and perceived relevance of literature learning to real-life experiences. These findings underscore the pedagogical potential of integrative learning models in secondary school literature education. By linking language proficiency with analytical and interpretative competencies, this approach not only strengthens students’ linguistic abilities but also cultivates their critical thinking, cultural awareness, and aesthetic appreciation. The study recommends the wider adoption of integrative methods in Indonesian high schools as an effective strategy for promoting meaningful and enduring engagement with literature.

Efforts to reduce the use of polluting chemicals environment needs innovation to overcome these problems. One of them is by replacing the chemicals contained in the battery by utilizing mango skin waste became bio-battery. Even mango skin waste in the community is not properly utilized so that mango skin becomes waste that has no value. The purpose of this research is to utilize mango skin as a bio-battery material not only to produce current and voltage sources but it is also expected to be able to reduce the negative effects of disposing of community mango skin waste residue into the environment and reduce dependence on chemicals as battery electrolyte paste which has been used so far. The test parameters carried out were the electricity of the bio-baterry using mango skin and salt samples. This research used 3 weight ratios between mango skin solution and salt solution, namely 15:5 gr, 20 gr:5 gr, and 25:5 gr. The main stages of this research consisted of 3 stages, namely preparation, pH testing, characterization of electrical properties, and electrical analysis of mango skin. The results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the smallest measurements of pH, electric voltage, and electric current are produced at a volume of 30 ml (15 gr) of 3.55, 0.53 V, and 1.8 mA. While the highest was produced at a volume of 44 ml of 3.53, 1.53 V, and 1.9 mA.
