Increasing in energy demand and limited fossil fuel reserves have driven the use of environmentally friendly alternative energy sources. This study aims to analyze the effect of pyrolysis temperature variations on the quality of biopellets made from bagasse and coffee husks. The materials were prepared in a 50:50 ratio with the addition of 15% tapioca flour as a binder. The pyrolysis process was carried out at temperatures of 450°C, 500°C, and 550°C for 120 minutes in oxygen-free conditions. The biochar resulting from pyrolysis was formed into biopellets, which were then tested for proximate composition, calorific value, and combustion rate. The results showed that an increase in pyrolysis temperature had a significant effect on the characteristics of the biopellets. A temperature of 550°C produced the lowest moisture content (8.436%), the highest fixed carbon content (62.191%), the highest calorific value (6293 cal/g), and the highest combustion rate (0.05789 g/sec). Conversely, ash content increased with rising temperature, while volatile matter content decreased. Thus, the best biopellets were obtained at a temperature of 550°C. This study confirms the potential of bagasse and coffee husks as raw materials for biopellets through pyrolysis temperature optimization to support the development of sustainable biomass energy.

The use of sengon albasia ash waste as a partial cement substitute in concrete production is carried out to reduce combustion waste and also reduce cement use. This study focuses on the use of sengon albasia wood ash waste. The use of sengon albasia wood ash as a cement substitute causes a significant decrease in the slump test value. The use of sengon albasia wood ash as a partial cement substitute in concrete mixes actually produces different results depending on the proportion. If added as much as 10%, the concrete's compressive strength actually increases, but if it reaches 20% or 30%, the compressive strength actually decreases. This occurs because this type of wood ash has a significant water absorption capacity. As a result, the water that should be used for The chemical activity occurring between cement and water is diminished, so that the bond between the cement mixture as a binder and aggregate as a filler is reduced, and ultimately the concrete's compressive strength also decreases.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of adding Eucheuma spinosum seaweed on the quality of goat milk dodol on moisture, protein, fat, and color (L*, a*, b*). Goat milk was chosen due to its high nutritional value and better digestibility than cow milk, although its consumption in Indonesia remains limited because of its strong odor, while dodol, a traditional Indonesian confection with a chewy texture, was used as a base product to promote milk utilization. The research material was dodol made from goat milk, glutinous rice flour, sugar, and salt, with the addition of Eucheuma spinosum seaweed at concentrations of 0% (T0), 10% (T1), 20% (T2), and 30% (T3). The method used was a laboratory experiment employing a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications. The obtained data were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If significant differences were found, the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was conducted. The results showed a protein content value of 5.33%-6.37%. Fat content value of 11.96%-13.19%. Ash content value ranged from 1.49%-3.96%. Texture value ranged from 16.22 N-26.44 N. pH value ranged from 6.76-6.94. Color parameter value L* ranged from 39.65-45.39; a* 5.16-8.33; b* 21.16-22.71. Organoleptic value of texture 2.50-3.48; color 2.08-3.79; aroma 3.69-3.83; taste 3.02-3.47.

This study aims to examine the implementation of the selapanan tradition among Javanese postpartum women in Limau Manis Village, and to understand the meaning and community perceptions of this practice in the context of modern life. The selapanan tradition is part of local wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation and has important value in postpartum maternal care. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, which allows researchers to understand cultural practices in depth through direct interaction with the community. Data collection techniques include participant observation, in-depth interviews with mothers who practice the tradition, community leaders, and traditional birth attendants, as well as documentation and field notes. The results show that selapanan is still preserved and practiced by the people of Limau Manis Village, although it has undergone several forms of adaptation to modern developments and modern medical guidelines. In its implementation, this tradition uses various natural ingredients such as parem (traditional body scrub), pilis (forehead concoction to refresh the eyes and mind), bengkungan (cloth to wrap the stomach), gerita (a kind of stagen or body binder), and the consumption of herbal medicine as part of physical care and body recovery. In addition to its physical aspects, selapanan also has a psychological dimension, providing emotional comfort and social support to postpartum mothers, thereby helping to prevent psychological disorders such as baby blues syndrome. This tradition serves not only as a form of traditional healthcare but also as a symbol of social solidarity and respect for local cultural values. Amidst the tide of modernization, preserving selapanan is crucial as a cultural identity that remains relevant. This study concludes that despite adjustments to medical developments, the selapanan tradition continues to play a significant role in maintaining maternal well-being and strengthening Javanese cultural values in the modern era.

This study aims to evaluate the lightfastness of organic ink formulated from purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) pigment for screen-printing applications on 24s cotton combed fabric. The ink formulations varied the pigment amount (10, 15, and 20 grams) and solvent volume (distilled water) of 25 and 30 mL, while the binder and thickener components were kept constant. Lightfastness was assessed by measuring the change in lightness (ΔL*) before and after 24 hours of light exposure. The results showed that the formulation containing 15 g of pigment and 25 mL of solvent (P2A1) exhibited the best colorfastness, with an average ΔL* of 0.23, while the formulation with 10 g pigment and 25 mL solvent (P1A1) showed the poorest performance (average ΔL* of 1.86). A lower solvent volume resulted in higher resistance to light exposure. Moreover, using either too little or too much pigment negatively affected ink transfer and reduced lightfastness. Two-way ANOVA on log-transformed data revealed that the interaction between pigment concentration and solvent volume had a significant effect on ΔL* (p < 0.001), contributing 72.8% to the total data variation. This study confirms that achieving an optimal balance between pigment amount and solvent volume is crucial for producing organic ink with good lightfastness

This research is an experimental study on porous concrete and the use of fly ash as a binder for concrete to analyze the effect of compressive strength and porosity. The research method used in this study is the experimental method which is a research method used to find the effect of certain treatments on concrete. In this research, the concrete mix design uses a ratio of gravel and geopolymer paste as a binder, namely 4: 1 and uses a molarity ratio of 10M with differences in grading of coarse aggregate using sieves number 4, 1/2 ", and 3/8". The optimum compressive strength value was obtained in mix design 1 using sieve gradation no.4 which was 4.25 MPa at 28 days old. While the results of the highest porosity value were found in mix design 1 which was 7.15% at 28 days old

Telah banyak dibahas pada penelitian terdahulu mengenai bahan tambah atau subtitusi pada campuran aspal. Penelitian kali ini mencoba untuk substitusi maupun menambahkan plastik jenis low linear density poly ethylene (LLDPE) sebagai bahan tambah untuk campuran Asphalt Course – Binder Course (AC-BC). Plastik ditambahkan pada kadar plastik optimum terhadap nilai karakteristik marshall. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium PT. Kadi Indonesia Manufaktur dengan 3 pengujian marshall. Pengujian marshall I adalah untuk mencari kadar aspal optimum tanpa tambahan plastik, diperoleh KAO untuk AC-BC sebesar 5,2%. Pengujian marshall II dilakukan untuk berat aspal optimum 100 % + % berat limbah plastik, diperoleh kadar optimum plastik sebagai bahan tambah sebesar 3%. Sementara untuk pengujian marshall III, dilakukan untuk bahan plastik sebagai subtitusi aspal yakni % berat aspal optimum + % berat limbah plastik = 100 % berat aspal optimum. Pada pengujian marshall III diperoleh kadar plastik optimum sebagai subtitusi adalah 2%. Nilai terbaik diperoleh di pengujian Marshall II (100% KAO + 3% LLDPE sebagai bahan tambah. Campuran 100% KAO + 3% LLDPE sebagai bahan tambah ini menghasilkan nilai stabilitas 1482 kg/cm2; flow 3,47 mm; VIM 4,93%; VFA 69,5% dan MQ 428 kg/mm. Seluruh nilai tersebut telah memenuhi persayaratan AC-BC yang tertuang dalam Spesifikasi Umum 2018 Revisi 2.

potential if managed well. The Depapre coastal area is famous for its marine tourism. The sea water is still clean and clear, beautiful coral reef cover and the charm of seagrass beds with various types of fish that live around them are what attract tourists to visit this area. However, aquatic ecosystems, especially macroalgae, are under threat of degradation. The aim of this research is to identify types of macroalgae as initial data for monitoring and consideration in efforts to process biological resources, especially the composition and distribution of macroalgae.The method used is the roaming method (road sampling), the population of this study is various types of macroalgae found in Dormena coastal waters, while the research sample is all types of macroalgae found in the roaming area. The data obtained was processed qualitatively using a macroalgae identification key book. The results of research in the waters of Doromena village, identified 9 species of macroalgae, namely Chaetomorpha spiralis Okamura (Chorophyta), Halimeda macroloba Decaisne (Chorophyta), Phadina australis Hauck (Phaeophyta), Sargassum binderi (Phaeophyta), Sargassum cristaefolium C. Agardh 1820 (Phaeophyta), Turbinaria conoides (J. Agardh) Kützing 1860 (Phaeophyta), Chondrus crispus Stackh (Rhodophyta), Corallina officinalis Linnaeus 1758 (Rhodophyta), and Gelidium sp. J. V. Lamouroux 1813 (Rhodophyta).

The purpose of lozenges is to allow the tablet to dissolve in stages in the mouth. Lozenges are solid preparations consisting of more than one pharmaceutical chemical, the base material is flavored, and the taste is sweet. Binders are important excipients, especially when making lozenges, because they increase intragranular and intergranular strength, forming tablets that meet the required physical qualities. The purpose of this review paper is to gather data about the physical characteristics of lozenge binders. Based on the literature study conducted, binders of lozenges namely Gelatin, CMC-Na, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HMPC), Jackfruit Seed Starch and Durian Seed Starch affect the physical properties of lozenges.

Burger patty analog is a processed imitation meat based on plant ingredients. This experiment used white oyster mushroom puree and red bean puree with various types of binder. This study was aimed at determining the chemical and organoleptic characteristics of burger patty analog that are high in protein and fiber, as well as determining the analog burger patty formulation that is most preferred by panelists. The research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors, namely the ratio of white oyster mushroom puree and red bean puree (70: 30, 60; 40, 50: 50) and variations in the type of binder (sago flour, tapioca flour, cornstarch). The results showed that the formulation of 50% white oyster mushroom puree and 50% red bean puree with cornstarch had a high protein content of 6.68%. Formulation of 70% white oyster mushroom puree and 30% red bean puree with sago flour has the highest crude fiber content of 7.64%. The burger patty analog formulation which the most liked by panelists was at 60% of white oyster mushroom puree and 40% red bean puree formulation using tapioca flour, resulting in an overall favorability score of 3.62 (neutral). This study resulted in low protein. Patty burger analog had low fat content, in added as an alternative for people who cannot consume meat.

Onion rings are made from onion slices coated in breadcrumbs and fried, typically served with tartar sauce. Chicken onion rings are a variation that combines onion rings with a chicken batter that envelops the onions. The chicken batter is made from ground chicken breast fillet mixed with tapioca flour as a binder and various spices to impart a distinctive flavor. This research aims to determine the panelists' level of preference for the organoleptic test, which includes appearance, aroma, color, texture, and taste, as well as standard recipes and business analysis. The research method employed is research and development. The study results reveal the standard recipe for making Chicken Onion Rings with Tartar Sauce, consisting of the following ingredients: 250g chicken breast fillet, 50g tapioca flour, 2 onions, 50g all-purpose flour, 250g breadcrumbs, 2 eggs, 500ml cooking oil, 5g salt, 10g chicken powder, 15g MSG, 3g ground pepper, 100g mayonnaise, 20g gherkin, and 50ml water. The evaluation criteria indicate that for appearance, 92% (very much liked) and 8% (liked); for color, 96% (very much liked) and 4% (liked); for aroma, 84% (very much liked) and 16% (liked); for texture, 88% (very much liked) and 12% (liked); and for taste, 92% (very much liked) and 8% (liked). Based on the business analysis of the Chicken Onion Rings with Tartar Sauce, the following conclusions can be drawn: food cost is Rp8,778, and selling price is Rp22,000. The product will break even after selling 151 portions. To achieve a target margin of Rp3,000,000 per month, the author must sell 378 portions per month. The author takes a profit of 40% from sales.

Sausage is one of frozen food product that’s popular among the society. Mackerel is classified as a fish that’s low fat and higher in protein, and also has characteristics like white meat, thick and didn’t had contain many thorns, so it’s suitable for used in the processed of fish sausage. Innovation of fish sausage can be carried out by fortification provitamin A from carrot paste, and produced gluten-free mackerel sausage product by using sago flour and tapioca starch as a binder. The purpose of this study was to identify  characteristics of mackerel sausage fortified of carrot paste which is high in protein and β-carotene. The experimental design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the first factor being the ratio of mackerel and carrot paste 75% : 25%, 50% : 50%, 25% : 75%. The second factor was the ratio of sago flour and tapioca starch as filler of sausage 80% : 20%, 60% : 40%, and 40%: 60%. The analysis indicated that the formulation of mackerel sausage which is highs in protein and the most preferred by consumers is found in the ratio of 75% mackerel : 25% carrot paste and 80% sago flour : 20% tapioca starch with a protein content of 11,36% and an overall level of preference is 3,55 (neutal). The mackerel sausage formulation that’s highs in β-carotene is found in the ratio of 25% mackerel: 75% carrot paste and 60% sago flour: 40% tapioca starch by 876 µg/g. Fortified carrot paste in mackerel sausages could be a  potensial source of protein and β-carotene.

Concrete typically consists of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, cement, and water. However, cement production generates significant carbon dioxide emissions nearly equivalent to the tons of cement produced. One alternative to conventional concrete, which replaces cement as a binder, is geopolymer concrete. Geopolymer concrete utilizes fly ash or other materials containing silica and alumina as the binder. Unlike cement, which forms a binder through hydration, geopolymer concrete uses a chemical reaction with alkali activators such as Na2SiO3 (sodium silicate) and NaOH (sodium hydroxide). This study investigates the toughness of geopolymer concrete using cylindrical specimens measuring 15 cm x 30 cm with varying Na2SiO3 to NaOH ratios of 1:0.5, 1:1, and 1:1.5, cured at room temperature for 28 days. The study results show that the highest toughness was achieved with a sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide ratio of 1.5, yielding 2.7394 x 105 J/m3. Meanwhile, the toughness values for sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide ratios of 0.5 and 1.0 were 2.3748 x 105 J/m3 and 2.5821 x 105 J/m3, respectively. Thus, increasing the sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide ratio from 0.5 to 1.5 at an activator content of 0.43 affects the toughness of geopolymer concrete.

Soil stabilization is a common technique to improve the mechanical properties of the soil in term of increasing its strength and decreasing the associated settlement. The new sustainable materials have been emerged as alternative to the traditional binders such as the cement and the lime. These materials can be used in the shallow and deep soil mixing. This paper reviewed the mechanism of the soil stabilization, the traditional binder and the sever impacts on the environment, the new echo-friendly materials, deep soil mixing technique, and the geopolemerization. The results showed significant enhancement of the shear strength of the geopolymerized silt where the strength was increased by more than 6 times. This enhancement may be attributed to the developed geopolymer-jel NASH that filled the voids, surrounded and cemented the soil particles. Consequently, this matrix considered as a novel precursor for using in the soil injecting and grouting technique.

Coated tablets are compressed tablets that are coated with a mixture of various substances such as: resin, gum, fillers, sugar, plasticizers, polyols, coloring agents, and flavor enhancers in the active substance. The types of coated tablets that are developing are sugar-coated, thin-coated and enteric-coated tablets. One of the additional materials that plays an important role in making coated tablets is a binder. This review article aims to obtain information and examine what is a good concentration of binder to use in coated tablet formulations. Based on a literature study from several articles collected, it can be concluded that the lactose binder, porang tuber starch, and PVP in several coated tablet dosage formulations, these binders have no effect on the physical properties of the dosage form.

Tablets are one of the most commonly used solid dosage forms of medicine in the pharmaceutical industry. The granulation process commonly used in making tablets is the wet granulation process. The operation method includes mixing the active ingredients and excipients, adding a binder liquid, forming granules, drying and sieving. The methods used in this research are literature research, journal reviews, and analysis of relevant papers carried out during the 2015-2023 period. The aim of this literature study is to determine the process, advantages, limitations and application of wet granulation in the pharmaceutical industry. Based on the results of a literature study, tablet production using the wet granulation method was proven to be an effective technique and is widely used for the production of tablet formulations.

Roads in Manokwari City still need a lot to be improved, especially on the Pegaf city boundary road - South Manokwari district, because this road connects the border between the City and the district.... This study aims to calculate the productivity of heavy equipment working on road improvement work, Analyzing the balance of road improvement work tools and knowing the total cost and time required in road improvement projects. So that this research is expected to be useful for optimizing the performance of road sections and being able to provide solutions to problems that occur and can provide an overview of the process of using heavy equipment that is effective and efficient. Productivity is the ability to produce something, so it can be said that heavy equipment productivity is the ability of heavy equipment to produce something per unit of time. In general, heavy equipment work production has the same calculation principles. The basic principles of calculating heavy equipment work production are 4 steps, namely calculating actual capacity, cycle time, calculating gross work production (PKK) and calculating actual work production (PKA). Background: Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) is an innovative construction material that combines glass fiber with concrete, providing high strength and durability. However, the influence of GRC mixture composition on flexural strength values has not been studied in depth. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of GRC mixture composition variables, such as the ratio between glass fiber and concrete binder, on flexural strength. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide deeper insight into the use of GRC in construction and help develop more efficient and durable construction materials. Results: From the results of the discussion regarding the effect of differences in fiberglass composition on flexural strength, it was found that the addition of 2% fiber resulted in an average flexural strength of 23.01 kgf/cm2, with an increase of up to 49.77 kgf/cm2 at 1% fiberglass. However, with a fiber composition of 0.8%, the highest flexural strength was obtained at 56.84 kgf/cm2. The addition of fibers that exceed the maximum limit can reduce the density of GRC concrete so that its ability to distribute bending strength forces is reduced. Meanwhile, the effect of fly ash substitution on flexural strength shows that replacing some of the cement with fly ash by 20% can increase the flexural strength value of GRC, because the silica and alumina compounds in fly ash can speed up the hydration process. However, of the five specimens tested, none met the SNI 8299:2017 standard which requires a minimum average flexural strength of 100 kgf/cm2

School children's songs are Indonesian pop songs created by Oddie Agam which contain love stories during school. The aim of this work is to create a work in the form of school music. In this work, the arranger works on school children's songs in the form of school music and then combines them with a touch of drumband to form a new arrangement to be performed. The nuance of the arrangement will be packaged cheerfully and cheerfully. This "school child" work is an expression of the author's self in a form that is realized in 3 parts, based on the development of the "school child" song and the session percussion pattern, which appears in a series of rhythms and sentences using the composition techniques that have been created. as a binder for this work.

Measurable character education can have an effect on students to grow into better individuals, resulting from constructive feedback through the teacher's exemplary. As a motivator the teacher can move students with their own awareness and responsibility so that they are willing to learn. Islamic education must be able to move the character of students according to the example of Rasulullah SAW. Islam, especially Islamic education, is seen as a binder and guide to the true path, so that the culture that arises will be able to provide benefits, not only to himself, but also to others. To find out the implementation of Islamic education on students' character building, this research uses a qualitative approach. The research method used is a case study using in-depth interviews with school principals, Islamic education teachers and several students of SMK Genius Bandung.  Direct observation and document analysis as data collection techniques, triangulation of sources and methods are used to test the authenticity of the data obtained. The result of this study shows that Islamic education is not only limited to academic assessment, spiritual development, understanding of moral values, and adherence to Islamic principles, in addition it is also important to consider aspects of students' attitudes, morals, and behavior towards each other and their environment which is in accordance with the goals of student character education. Based on the research it is concluded that Islamic education as an independent research variable has a very strong positive relationship with the students' character  building that means it has a very large influence on the students' character building. Therefore, a holistic and integrated evaluation will provide a clear picture that is more comprehensive about Islamic education in the students' character building at SMK Genius Bandung.
