This community service program is designed to enhance the competence of English teachers at SMP N 33 Purworejo in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media, particularly deep learning technology. In the digital era, many teachers still face limitations in integrating intelligent technology into classroom activities, which affects the effectiveness of learning. The program was carried out in four stages: the provision of basic materials on AI and deep learning, technical training on the use of AI applications, practical development of learning media, and mentoring combined with evaluation. The results of this activity show an increase in teachers’ understanding and skills in operating AI tools, with each participant producing at least one AI-based learning media product. Through workshops, teachers learned to use applications such as chatbots, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and AI-assisted language tools to enrich students’ learning experiences. In addition, teachers were guided to design contextual media tailored to curriculum goals and student needs. Mentoring ensured that the products created were tested, improved, and ready to be applied in the classroom. The novelty of this activity lies in its focus on practical implementation of deep learning in junior high school English teaching, positioning teachers not only as users but also as creators of innovative media. Beyond technical competence, this program fosters collaboration among teachers to sustain innovation. Bullying is a persistent social issue frequently found in school settings and remains a concern in many countries. This study was initiated based on observations at SMPN 17 Pekanbaru, where numerous students were found to have experienced bullying. The purpose of this community service program was to introduce and promote a digital reporting platform for junior high school students, designed to be safe, interactive, and evidence-based, thereby enabling victims or witnesses to report incidents more easily. The methods applied included socialization, practical demonstration, and evaluation, involving 40 students as participants in the program. The intervention introduced the “BeSafe” website, which aims to provide a secure and user-friendly channel for reporting bullying anonymously and independently. The findings indicate that the website achieved a usability score of 82.2%, categorizing it as highly feasible and appropriate for use among adolescents. Furthermore, BeSafe was able to offer comfort, security, and accessibility for students in addressing bullying cases. An evaluation carried out one month after the program revealed that 20 bullying complaints had been successfully submitted through the platform, showing its effectiveness in encouraging students to speak up and utilize digital solutions without fear of exposure. In conclusion, the BeSafe platform is proven to be suitable as a medium for reporting bullying cases and holds significant potential to support preventive measures in schools. Beyond serving as a reporting tool, it can also act as an educational and protective medium that fosters a safer, more inclusive, and supportive school environment, ultimately contributing to the broader efforts of reducing bullying and enhancing students’ psychological well-being.
The use of technology in education is essential, particularly in creating digital teaching materials. This Community Service (PKM) activity aimed to introduce teachers and educators to the process of creating e-modules using Canva, a user-friendly tool with templates, graphics, and features for designing interactive and visually engaging teaching materials. The training provided hands-on experience, enabling participants to create curriculum-aligned e-modules, enhancing both their teaching materials and student engagement. The goal was to equip educators with the skills to develop innovative, digital-friendly materials that cater to various learning styles. During the training, participants integrated multimedia elements like images, videos, and text to make the learning experience more interactive. Emphasis was placed on incorporating technology in both physical classrooms and online learning environments, improving the overall dynamic of lessons. The training also helped educators gain a deeper understanding of Canva as a versatile tool for educational purposes. Results showed significant improvement in participants' confidence and ability to use Canva effectively to create engaging and pedagogically sound materials. Many expressed that the skills gained would help them incorporate creative and interactive elements into their lessons, fostering a more dynamic learning environment. This PKM activity successfully empowered participants to enhance their digital competencies and adapt to the evolving educational landscape. It contributed to improving the quality of education, ensuring educators are better prepared to navigate the digital age and meet the needs of modern learners. Number recognition is a critical skill in early education, laying the foundation for digital literacy and mathematical understanding. However, traditional methods of teaching number recognition often lack the interactivity and engagement necessary for effective learning, particularly for young learners. This study proposes the development of a deep learning-based Android application aimed at enhancing the number recognition process by providing an interactive and visual learning experience. The application utilizes a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), a type of deep learning model, to recognize handwritten numbers, offering users an innovative and engaging way to learn and practice number recognition.In the proposed application, users can draw numbers on their devices, and the system will immediately provide feedback regarding the accuracy of the drawn numbers. The CNN model will be trained on a comprehensive dataset of handwritten digits to ensure high accuracy in recognition. This real-time feedback loop is designed to help users learn the correct form of numbers while also introducing the foundational concepts of deep learning. The main objective of this application is to provide an accessible, interactive platform for learning number recognition, especially for novice learners who may be unfamiliar with basic concepts in machine learning and digital literacy. By integrating deep learning technology, the application not only supports the learning of number recognition but also serves as an introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) concepts in a practical, easy-to-understand format. Furthermore, the application is designed to be user-friendly, ensuring that it is suitable for a wide range of learners, including children and beginners. The application aims to combine the fundamental principles of deep learning with a practical, hands-on learning experience, fostering a deeper understanding of both number concepts and the potential of AI in everyday life.
Intensive social media use has become an ingrained phenomenon in the daily lives of college students. Technological developments and high accessibility to digital platforms cause students to spend a significant amount of time interacting virtually. This condition has various psychological implications, one of which is increased anxiety levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use and anxiety levels in college students. The method used was a quantitative approach with a correlational design through a survey distributed to a number of student respondents from various study programs. The research instruments included a questionnaire regarding the frequency of social media use and a validated anxiety scale. The results showed a significant relationship between the intensity of social media use and students' anxiety levels. The higher the frequency of social media use, the greater the tendency for students to experience anxiety. Several factors that trigger anxiety include social comparison with other users, the need for validation through the number of "likes" and comments, and the pressure to project an ideal self-image online. Furthermore, most students expressed feelings of anxiety or restlessness when not accessing social media for a certain period of time, indicating psychological dependence. These findings indicate that social media has a significant influence on students' psychological conditions, particularly in triggering anxiety. Therefore, it is crucial for higher education institutions, educators, and parents to provide education on healthy and balanced social media use. Preventive and promotive interventions to support student mental health are essential to mitigate the negative impacts of social media and foster wiser digital behavior in today's technological era.
This community service activity aims to strengthen the character development of elementary school students through training in creating digital applications using the Thunkable platform. In the midst of the digital era and the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, character education is an essential aspect that must be instilled from an early age, alongside cognitive competence. Elementary schools, as the foundation of education, play a strategic role in shaping children’s personalities, including embedding positive character values.
This activity was conducted at SD Moria in Sorong City and involved 24 students from grades 5 and 6, selected based on their interest and readiness. The training used a Project-Based Learning approach, where students were actively engaged in creating simple application projects. Throughout the process, students not only learned basic programming skills using Thunkable but also developed key values such as teamwork, responsibility, independence, creativity, and curiosity. Despite facing challenges such as limited devices and internet access, the students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm. Thunkable proved to be an effective tool for interactive and enjoyable learning. Students were able to directly develop their creative ideas through designing user interfaces and application functions. This provided a meaningful learning experience that motivated students to continue exploring and trying new things. The activity showed that technology-based learning can serve as a strategic means to holistically shape students' character. Overall, this initiative demonstrated that digital application development training can serve as a character education model based on technology that is highly relevant for elementary education. This program is expected to serve as an educational innovation example that encourages the integration of digital literacy and character education in Indonesian elementary schools.
The development of communication technology today has changed the behavior of individuals in interacting. Social media has become a means for individuals to express themselves and perform self-disclosure. This study aims to find out how expressive writing can increase self-disclosure in millennial Instagram social media users. The research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with participants. The results showed that expressive writing can facilitate individuals to express themselves and increase self-disclosure on Instagram social media users. Through expressive writing, individuals can express their feelings, thoughts, and experiences freely without any restrictions. This encourages deeper self-disclosure in millennial Instagram users. The implication of this study is the importance of using expressive writing to facilitate the self-disclosure process in social media users, especially millennials.
The use of AI by students is increasingly widespread and changing the way they learn and interact with course materials. This community service aims to provide socialization and education to UKM futsal students while promoting student rights, increasing student understanding of meta AI technology in education, as well as its potential positive and negative effects, and recognizing the importance of using certain meta AI technologies. Meta provides generative AI technology that drives the experience of using AI available through WhatsApp. Meta AI results will certainly be produced by AI as a form of response to users. The activity is carried out through socialization with discussion and lecture methods as well as questions and answers. The delivery material is in the form of slides that are displayed during the activity and sent to participants. This activity also includes assessing the level of participant understanding of meta AI technology.
The adoption of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is a crucial step toward improving healthcare service delivery, especially in public hospitals in developing countries. RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe, a referral hospital in Gorontalo, Indonesia, has implemented the SIMRS Khanza system to digitize inpatient registration and medical documentation. However, limited evaluation has been conducted to assess its effectiveness beyond technical performance. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of SIMRS Khanza using the Human-Organization-Technology Fit (HOT-Fit) framework, which examines the alignment between users, institutional support, and system quality. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and document reviews with eight informants, including medical record officers, system coordinators, and hospital management. The findings reveal that although most users reported improved efficiency and satisfaction, several issues persist: incomplete training, limited adherence to SOPs, and system performance lags during peak hours. Organizational support was present but inconsistent, and documentation policies lacked specificity for digital contexts. Technologically, the system demonstrated stable output, but responsiveness and integration require enhancement. The synthesis of findings suggests that success in HIS implementation is contingent upon not only system reliability but also continuous user engagement, structured training, and dynamic policy support. Therefore, a holistic strategy integrating human, organizational, and technological components is essential to optimize SIMRS performance and sustainability.
The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in outpatient services aims to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of clinical information. However, the effectiveness of such systems is highly dependent on user satisfaction. This study evaluated the satisfaction of health personnel using outpatient EMR at Sultan Fatah Regional Hospital, Indonesia, by employing the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model. The research addressed issues related to incomplete data, low system responsiveness, and interface usability that may affect the quality of service delivery. A qualitative descriptive method was used, involving in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis from 21 informants selected purposively across multiple service units. The EUCS dimensions—content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness—were used to assess user experience. The findings indicate that users encountered problems such as incomplete patient data and duplicate records (accuracy), non-intuitive interfaces (format and ease of use), and delays in accessing medical information (timeliness). Observations and documentation review further revealed a reliance on manual backups and inconsistencies between digital and physical records. Overall, the study highlights the need for better data integration, enhanced user training, interface redesign, and system infrastructure upgrades to ensure real-time and comprehensive EMR usage. The study concludes that addressing technical and human factors through the EUCS model can enhance user satisfaction and system utilization in outpatient healthcare settings.
The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed healthcare services, including the implementation of online registration systems in hospitals. RSUP Surakarta has operated an online patient registration system since 2021 to reduce wait times and improve service efficiency. However, no formal evaluation has been conducted from the user experience (UX) perspective. This study aims to evaluate the UX of RSUP Surakarta’s online registration system using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed with accidental sampling involving 100 respondents who had used the system in 2024. The UEQ measured six aspects: Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty. Results revealed that all aspects scored positively, with Attractiveness (1.920) and Dependability (1.810) reaching the “Excellent” benchmark. Perspicuity (1.863) and Efficiency (1.868) also showed strong scores, while Stimulation (1.693) and Novelty (1.130) scored lower in the “Good” category. These findings suggest that although the system is well-received, improvements are necessary in terms of user engagement and innovation. Enhancing the user interface and enriching system features are recommended to optimize user satisfaction and ensure alignment with patient-centered service standards. This study contributes to digital service evaluation practices in public healthcare by providing empirical insights into user perceptions and expectations.

However, RSUD Komodo has experienced several challenges in the implementation of its SIMRS module, including system slowdowns, sudden monitor failures, and unstable internet connectivity during service hours. These issues hinder operational effectiveness and risk compromising service quality. The objective of this research is to assess system performance comprehensively across human, organizational, and technological dimensions. A qualitative descriptive design was employed, involving in-depth interviews with five key informants: registration staff, IT personnel, coder, head of the medical records unit, and head of the casemix team. The findings show that in the human dimension, users lacked sufficient training and adaptation strategies. In the organizational aspect, weak coordination and the absence of standardized procedures were identified. In the technology dimension, hardware malfunctions and slow system performance significantly disrupted services. These interconnected issues reveal the need for capacity buildingan effective tool for evaluating hospital information systems, offering a structured approach to identifying and resolving performance gaps in outpatient service modules.
This study discusses the analysis of parental assessment and the usefulness of expert systems in detecting child behavioral disorders using the system usability method scales (SUS). This system is designed to help parents identify behavioral disorders in children efficiently and accurately. The research method includes compiling a questionnaire, collecting data, processing SUS scores, interpreting results, and recommending improvements. The results of this study indicate that this system gets an average SUS score of 82.84, which is included in the Grade A category. This shows a high level of acceptance and good user experience, where users do not experience difficulty in operating the system. In addition, this system managed to maintain its search performance, but improvements are needed in some of its services according to suggestions from respondents.
YouTube is one of the leading video-based social media platforms with a complex algorithm for recommending content to users. Understanding this algorithm is crucial for content creators to increase visitor numbers and audience engagement. This socialization activity aims to educate beginner content creators on video optimization strategies to enhance discoverability and recommendation by YouTube’s system. The socialization was conducted online via Zoom, utilizing presentations, interactive discussions, and simulations of YouTube Studio features. The results of this activity indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of key factors influencing the YouTube algorithm, such as watch duration, user interactions, and metadata optimization. Some participants who implemented the taught strategies experienced up to a 30% increase in video views within a month. However, challenges remain in maintaining content consistency and utilizing YouTube analytics effectively. Therefore, continuous mentoring is necessary to help participants refine more effective strategies. This socialization is expected to enable content creators to maximize the YouTube algorithm to enhance their channel visibility and growth.
Adolescence is a phase that is prone to experiencing FoMO behavior. FoMO experienced by adolescence has the potential to cause feelings of loss, stress, and feeling distant if they do not know about important events of other individuals or groups. The FoMO experienced by adolescence indicates that their motivational factors are not developed optimally. The motivational factor referred to is self-esteem. Someone who has high self-esteem in general will be more able to be positive in making an assessment of himself.. This research aims to find out the relationship between self-esteem and FoMO in adolescent social media users at SMA N 1 Muntilan, Magelang Regency. The population in this study is 1056 students of SMA N 1 Muntilan. From this population, the research sample was taken using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique of 286 students based on the Isaac and Michael table formula. Data collection was carried out using a modification of the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. The data was tested with product moment pearson through the SPSS 25 for windows program. The research results show that there is a significant negative relationship that is in the very weak category between self-esteem and FoMO in social media users at SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan. This means that even though adolescence have good self-esteem, it is not enough to prevent them from FoMO.
