This study explores the role of Hadith as a foundation for instilling the values of religious tolerance, with a focus on shaping the awareness of Generation Z in the contemporary era of technology and globalization. The Qur'an and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW emphasize respect for religious diversity and firmly prohibit intolerance, offering a strong theological basis for promoting harmonious coexistence. As a digitally active generation, Gen Z possesses significant potential to disseminate tolerance values through online platforms. Nevertheless, they face challenges such as disinformation, hate speech, and the spread of distorted religious interpretations, which may hinder the cultivation of inclusive attitudes. This research highlights that the integration of tolerance values requires methods aligned with Gen Z’s characteristics, including interactive discussions, the strategic use of social media, and educational approaches rooted in prophetic principles. By adopting such methods, religious teachings can be contextualized in a manner that resonates with Gen Z’s communication styles and digital literacy levels. The study employs a qualitative literature review to analyze relevant Hadith texts, their interpretations, and contemporary strategies for value transmission. The findings suggest that a combination of religious education, digital engagement, and community-based initiatives can effectively foster interfaith understanding and reduce intolerance among youth. Ultimately, this research offers a practical framework for educators, religious leaders, and policymakers to strengthen inter-religious tolerance by enhancing the comprehension and application of Hadith in addressing the unique challenges of the digital era.

The Qur'an as the final revelation revealed by Allah SWT has a very central role in shaping the teachings and lives of Muslims. One of the most important aspects of the teachings of the Qur'an is the unity of the people, which can be a foundation in maintaining harmony and solidarity amidst existing differences. The virtues contained in the Qur'an, such as teachings on justice, tolerance, brotherhood, and compassion, provide clear direction for Muslims to unite and work together for the common good. However, amid the diversity of schools of thought, ethnicities, and thoughts in Muslims, it is important to re-explore the basic principles of the Qur'an that can strengthen relations between fellow Muslims. This study aims to explore the virtues of the Qur'an that can be the foundation of teachings that unite Muslims. This study also seeks to understand how these values are applied in the context of the social and cultural life of Muslims, both in the past and in the contemporary era. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with a thematic interpretation approach to analyze the verses of the Qur'an related to the unity of the people, as well as a study of the hadith to explore the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding the unity of the Muslim community. In addition, this study also uses a historical and socio-cultural approach to understand the application of the teachings of the Qur'an in Muslim society from time to time. The results of the study show that the virtues of the Qur'an, such as teachings on brotherhood, justice, and tolerance, have a very important role in strengthening the unity of Muslims, even though there are differences in terms of schools of thought, culture, and views. The Qur'an provides clear guidelines that differences are not a reason to divide, but rather a blessing that enriches the diversity of Muslims. By exploring and applying the teachings of the Qur'an, Muslims are expected to be able to better maintain unity and harmony in facing the challenges of the increasingly plural and complex modern era.

Tolerance in Islam is an interesting study, this is based on the very difficulty of finding the equivalent of the word Tolerance in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith.  Differences in understanding the meaning of tolerance form the basis of understanding Pluralism. This article is to examine the meaning of tolerance in the hadith as the second source of the Islamic religion, using a social approach.  This article finds that Tolerance in the Hadith is combined with the word tasamuh with the meaning or samahah of this word basically meaning al-jud (Glory). Or sa'at sadr (open-minded) and tasahul (friendly, forgiving).  Islam itself is a religion that makes tolerance the most important part, this attitude is more widely applied in the area of social interaction as shown by the attitude of the Prophet Muhammad. against non-Muslims at the time he was still alive. An attitude of tolerance in religion is respecting other religious beliefs by not being syncretic, namely by equating other religious beliefs with Islamic beliefs themselves, practicing one's own beliefs and worship. The attitude of tolerance also cannot be understood separately from the framework of the Shari'a, because if it happens, it will give rise to misunderstandings of meaning which result in a mixture of what is right and what is false. The teaching of tolerance is something that is inherent in the principles of Islamic teachings as found in faith, Islam and ihsan.
