The increasing demand for clean water at the Faculty of Engineering, Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) Semarang requires an alternative and sustainable water source. One effective solution is the implementation of a rainwater harvesting (RWH) system to meet non-domestic water needs such as toilet flushing, plant irrigation, and campus cleaning. This study aims to analyze the potential utilization of rainwater, design an appropriate RWH system, and evaluate its cost efficiency compared to the use of PDAM (regional water supply company) water. This research employed a quantitative approach by collecting primary data, including roof catchment area measurements and existing rainwater drainage conditions, as well as secondary data such as average rainfall, the number of campus users, and PDAM water tariffs. The analysis consisted of calculating the potential harvested rainwater volume, designing the RWH system, estimating installation costs, and comparing operational costs between RWH and PDAM water usage. The results indicate that the potential harvested rainwater volume from the building’s roof is approximately 7,054.5 liters/day, while the average non-domestic water demand is 3,170 liters/day, allowing water needs to be met during the rainy season. The implementation of the RWH system can also reduce water costs by up to 43,6%, equivalent to IDR 87.615.616 over a 20-year period. Therefore, the application of RWH is an effective and sustainable solution for water management within the campus while supporting operational cost efficiency.

This study aims to find out and test the influence of PDAM service quality, PDAM tariff and PDAM payment place on PDAM payment receipts. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The type of data in the form is primary data with questionnaires. The study population is PDAM customers in Brebes Regency.  The determination of the number of samples in this study with the Slovin formula obtained 98 responses. The respondents' answer data was tested with validity and reliability tests. It is then tested with a classical assumption test. The data analysis technique was carried out by multiple regression test The results of the study showed that the quality of PDAM services partially affected the receipt of PDAM payments obtained a sig value = 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, the PDAM tariff affects the receipt of PDAM payments, obtaining a sig value = 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, the place where PDAM payments affect the receipt of PDAM payments obtained a sig value = 0.001 < 0.05. Simultaneously, the quality of PDAM services, PDAM tariffs and PDAM payment places affect PDAM payment receipts.

PDAM tariffs and policies have a very important role in maintaining the availability of clean water and quality services for the community. Economically, the tariffs set by PDAM enable the provision of clean water in a sustainable manner with operational finance, infrastructure maintenance, and investment in developing the water distribution network. This research aims to reveal the impact of PDAM Tirtanadi's tariff adjustment policy on customer satisfaction. Adjusting air tariffs is an important step for PDAMs to finance infrastructure maintenance and operations, but this can also have an impact on customer satisfaction. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Qualitative research makes it possible to describe phenomena in depth, including the impact of PDAM Tirtanadi's tariff policy on customer satisfaction. In the descriptive method, the main focus is on a detailed and in-depth description of the observed phenomenon, without carrying out statistical analysis. The data used in this research comes from writings contained in books, scientific journals, previous research and through interviews with customers and related parties of PDAM Tirtanadi Medan Denai Branch during college internships. The results of this research indicate that the tariff adjustment policy creates hopes and concerns among customers, who hope that service quality will increase in line with tariff increases. In addition, this research also identifies factors that influence customer perceptions of tariff policies, including the quality of services provided, transparency in the use of funds, and responsiveness to customer complaints. The implications of this research are the importance of considering customer needs and expectations in designing adequate tariff policies, as well as the importance of transparency and accountability in providing public services such as the provision of drinking water.
