Modern healthcare services are undergoing transformation toward a more humanistic and patient-centered approach, emphasizing hospitality based services in hospitals. However, many healthcare institutions, particularly in outpatient settings, have not fully adopted this concept. Patients often experience psychological distress, and when coupled with an unsupportive physical environment, their comfort and overall experience may be diminished. These conditions can negatively affect perceptions of service quality, patient satisfaction, and loyalty toward hospital services. This study aimed to analyze the influence of patients’ psychological conditions and the physical environment on hospitality-based services, with patient experience as an intervening variable, at the internal medicine outpatient clinic of BM Hospital. A quantitative research design using a cross-sectional approach was employed. The study involved 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires with Likert-scale items and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that patients’ psychological conditions, the physical environment, and patient experience simultaneously and significantly influenced hospitality-based services. Hypothesis testing confirmed that both psychological conditions and the physical environment had a direct and significant impact on hospitality-based services. Furthermore, patient experience played a mediating role, strengthening the relationship between these factors and perceived service quality. The findings highlight the need for hospitals to integrate psychological support and a conducive physical environment into outpatient care delivery. Enhancing these dimensions can improve patient experience, foster greater satisfaction and comfort, and build stronger loyalty toward hospital services

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is closely related to the low number of pregnant women visiting the Community Health Center (Puskesmas). This situation can occur due to patient dissatisfaction with the quality of services provided by health facilities, which can lead to patients deciding not to undergo check-ups at the Puskesmas or going to non-medical personnel, which can lead to complications in pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of health service quality on patient satisfaction among third-trimester pregnant women at Pucakwangi 2 Pati Community Health Center. This study adopted a quantitative, observational, analytical, cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted at Pucakwangi 2 Pati Community Health Center in October 2023. The sample size was 42 third-trimester pregnant women using BPJS services. The sampling method used was total sampling, and the results were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney statistical test. The results showed that the dimensions of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy were related to patient satisfaction with a p-value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the assurance dimension was not related to patient satisfaction because the p-value was 0.356. Four quality dimensions were found to be related to patient satisfaction, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy dimensions on the satisfaction of pregnant women in the third trimester at Pucakwangi 2 Community Health Center, Pati. Meanwhile, no relationship was found between the assurance dimension and the satisfaction of pregnant women in the third trimester at Pucakwangi 2 Community Health Center, Pati. This finding indicates that improving the quality of health services, especially in the aspects of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy, is very important to increase the satisfaction of pregnant women. This study aims to explore the relationship between the quality of antenatal care (ANC) services and the satisfaction levels of pregnant women at the Kuta Raja Community Health Center, Banda Aceh. This relationship is pivotal in understanding how service quality impacts maternal satisfaction and, ultimately, maternal health outcomes. Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is defined as the number of mothers who die during postpartum, pregnancy, and childbirth. High MMR is often attributed to a lack of awareness and infrequent ANC visits. In 2023, only 86.25% of pregnant women attended ANC services, falling short of the 93% target. Initial observations indicated that 60% of the attendees were dissatisfied with the ANC services at the Kuta Raja Community Health Center. This analytical survey, employing a cross-sectional design, was conducted at the Kuta Raja Community Health Center. The study population included 93 pregnant women, all of whom were surveyed using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses, with the chi-square test employed for bivariate analysis. The study found that certain quality dimensions of ANC services—responsiveness (p < 0.001), assurance (p < 0.005), empathy (p < 0.005), and tangibility (p < 0.001)—were significantly related to the satisfaction levels of pregnant women. However, reliability (p > 0.05) showed no significant relationship with satisfaction. There is a significant relationship between the responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibility of ANC services and the satisfaction levels of pregnant women at the Kuta Raja Community Health Center. Conversely, reliability did not show a significant correlation with satisfaction. To improve maternal satisfaction and health outcomes, it is recommended that pregnant women regularly attend ANC services and that efforts be made to enhance the quality dimensions that impact satisfaction.
