This research analyzes the phenomenon of identity concealment bu the main character in the anime 91 Days, Angelo Lagusa, who disguises himself as Avilio Bruno to revenge his family’s murder. The focus of this research is to identify and classify the ego defense mechanisms by Sigmund Freud employed by Angelo thoughout this process of concealment. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method and a literary psychology approach, this research aims to provide a detailed description of how ego defense mechanism is manifested in the character’s actions and behavior. Data was collected through direct observation of all episodes in the series. The analysis reveals that four primary ego defense mechanisms are predominant. These four primary ego defense mechanisms are repression, sublimation, displacement and rationalization. Repression emerges as the most prominent mechanism, characterized by Angelo’s constant effort to suppress emotional drives (id), particularly in pain, rage and trauma into the subconscious to prevent them from interfering with his primary mission. Meanwhile, sublimation is evident when he channels his emotional energy into strategic and structured planning for his revenge. Displacement is observed in moments where his anger is redirected toward less threatening targets. Furthermore, rationalization is used by Angelo to justify his harsh and cruel actions with the logic of vengeance and justice. This research concludes that Angelo as Avilio in disguise is not merely a narrative strategy but an external representation of a complex internal psychological dynamic, where the ego functions as a mediator between the demands of the emotional id and the constraints of reality. Through this analysis, this research is expected to contribute to development of literary psychology studies, particularly in understanding the psychological construction of fictional characters through a Freudian theoretical lens.

Sexual harassment is a criminal act carried out by two people by force with the intention of satisfying lust or an act of revenge. Sexual harassment in the church community is an act that violates Christian teachings where it is carried out outside the basis of marriage. Sexual harassment is carried out by force between men and women outside the husband and wife couple, namely between parents and children or between father and child. The Church has an important role in this. The Church seeks to heal, support, treat, and even accompany victims of sexual abuse through pastoral actions. Sexuality is no longer something taboo to talk about, therefore it is important for the church, government, and even families to discuss sexuality from an early age as an effort to prevent criminal acts or sexual violence. Society must have a sense of empathy and sympathy for victims of sexual violence, as an effort to heal and accept the reality experienced by victims. The church must really act in a real way in spiritual and psychological and social healing of victims.

Forgiveness can be described as a response given by someone who has experienced hurt in order to avoid revenge and expressions of anger towards the perpetrator, while choosing to show compassion, affection, love, and positive behavior. One of the factors that influence forgiveness is emotional intelligence, which includes an individual's ability to motivate themselves, show resilience to failure, control emotions, maintain satisfaction, and regulate psychological conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and the level of forgiveness among high school students in Montong District. This research is non experimental with a correlational analytical design using a cross sectional approach. The research population included 592 high school students in Montong District. The sampling technique applied was probability sampling with cluster random sampling, resulting in a sample of 239 students. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires that measured emotional intelligence and forgiveness. The results of the analysis using the Spearman test at α = 0.05 showed p = 0.000 < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.389, indicating a low relationship between the two variables, thus accepting the hypothesis. Based on this description, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and the level of forgiveness among high school students in Montong District.

The rapid expansion of digital technology has intensified the circulation of pornographic content, making it increasingly accessible across various online platforms and posing significant risks to social, psychological, and moral stability. This study aims to examine the underlying factors contributing to the spread of pornographic content, its impact on individuals and society, and the urgency of strengthening regulatory and preventive measures. Using a qualitative approach supported by interviews and questionnaires distributed to university students in Jatinangor and Bandung, the research explores public perceptions, access patterns, and social responses regarding pornography in digital spaces. The findings reveal that most respondents consider pornography dissemination a deviant behavior, with economic motives and revenge-driven actions emerging as predominant driving factors. The study also shows that existing legal regulations are perceived as insufficient in mitigating the rapid growth of pornographic content online. These results highlight the importance of enhancing digital literacy, strengthening law enforcement, and promoting moral education to reduce the risks associated with pornography exposure. The study contributes to a deeper criminological understanding of deviant behavior in digital environments and underscores the need for collaborative societal efforts to address this phenomenon.

This study explores the influence of childhood memories, particularly the experience of "unresolved revenge" in the form of a failed tricycle ownership, on the process of creating works of art. This phenomenon is analyzed through the lens of psychoanalysis and consumerism criticism, where childhood fantasies transform into an obsession with collecting in adulthood, as an outlet for powerful passionate sensations. Qualitatively, works of art are positioned not only as manifestations of personal expression, but also as sustainable and critical practices. The articulation of art becomes a way to resolve consumerist trauma in a non-physical way, transforming the urge for unsustainable material accumulation (the infatuation of collecting) into artistic output that reflects and critiques the symbolic prestige value of commodities in the 1980s. This study concludes that personal memory-based art practices offer a sustainable framework for psychological recovery and social critique of the endless cycle of material desires.

Human behavior and psychological conflict often become central elements in literary works, especially in drama, where characters are shaped through tension, pride, emotion, and social expectation. Shakespeare’s Coriolanus presents a character whose sense of pride, identity, and honor creates ongoing conflict with the society around him. This study aims to analyze the forms of narcissism expressed by Coriolanus using Otto Kernberg’s fourfold theory: healthy, grandiose, vulnerable, and malignant. A qualitative descriptive method was applied through textual analysis and library research, focusing on key scenes that reveal his psychological development. The results show that grandiose narcissism is the most dominant type (36%), as seen in scenes where Coriolanus belittles the plebeians and rejects their approval, reflecting his rigid superiority as a Roman patrician. Healthy narcissism appears least (10%), found only in early moments such as his genuine pride after the battle at Corioles before political pressure intensifies his arrogance. Meanwhile, vulnerable and malignant narcissism each appear at 27%, shown when he collapses into shame after public rejection and later seeks revenge by joining Aufidius. These findings illustrate that Coriolanus’s downfall is shaped by the progression of his narcissism from pride to contempt, fragility, and destruction.

This study explores the psychological analysis of the main character in John Wick (2014), emphasizing the emotional and motivational factors that drive his actions. By applying Bernhardt's psychological aspects and Kenney's conflict theory, the research investigates the protagonist's internal struggles alongside his external challenges. Key issues examined include grief, trauma, and the pursuit of justice, highlighting how these elements shape character development and influence the narrative's progression. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method and thorough film analysis, the study reveals that John Wick's journey transcends mere revenge; it represents a complex psychological quest for closure, identity, and moral reconciliation. The findings emphasize the significance of emotions, ethical dilemmas, and personal values in character-driven narratives, illustrating how internal conflicts affect external actions. This research adds to broader discussions on the psychological depth of cinematic characters and underscores the universal themes of loss and resilience. Future studies could investigate similar analyses across different genres to deepen our understanding of character psychology and audience engagement.

The advancement of digital technology has created new opportunities for cybercrime, including revenge porn the non-consensual distribution of intimate content motivated by revenge. In Indonesia, such cases have surged significantly, predominantly affecting women of productive age, with multidimensional consequences including psychological trauma, social stigmatization, and job loss. This study analyzes the element 'without right' (tanpa hak) in Article 27 paragraph (1) of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), which is both the core and the main source of legal uncertainty in prosecuting revenge porn cases. Through normative legal research using statute and case approaches, analyzing the Banten High Court Decision No. 96/Pid.Sus/2023/PT BTN, this research finds that the element 'without right' must be interpreted holistically by making a clear distinction between consent to create and consent to distribute. The appellate court decision demonstrates a progressive human rights-based approach, integrating the principle of reasonable expectation of privacy and victimological impacts. However, normative ambiguity continues to create disparities in rulings and disproportionate evidentiary burdens on victims. The research recommends legislative reform through amendment of the UU ITE or enactment of specific legislation on image-based sexual abuse to provide stronger legal certainty and substantive victim protection.

This study aims to determine the level of problematic smartphone use (PSU) and revenge sleep procrastination (RBP) among MTs/SMP students in District X, while also examining the relationship between the two variables. The problem of excessive smartphone use among adolescents is increasingly important to study because it can impact sleep quality, learning concentration, and mental health. This research approach uses a quantitative correlational method with data collection through a bold questionnaire (Google Form). The research sample consisted of 103 MTs/SMP students in District X who were selected using an incidental sampling technique. The RBP variable measurement scale was developed by the researcher with reference to aspects proposed by Kroese et al. (2014). Meanwhile, the PSU Scale was developed based on dimensions formulated by Foerster et al. (2015), including withdrawal, desire, loss of control, dependence on peers, and negative life consequences. The results of the correlation analysis showed that PSU had a very strong positive relationship with RBP (r = 0.833) and was statistically significant (p < 0.000). This means that the higher a person's tendency to experience problematic smartphone use, the greater the likelihood of revenge bedtime delay. Among the dimensions of PSU, withdrawal showed the highest correlation with RBP (r = 0.831). This was followed by negative life consequences (r = 0.778), craving (r = 0.577), loss of control (r = 0.489), and dependence on peers (r = 0.333). Overall, this study concludes that PSU plays a significant role in increasing RBP trends among students. These findings highlight the urgent need for awareness and intervention programs to reduce excessive smartphone use among adolescents. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools and parents in designing strategies to prevent the negative impacts of smartphone use on adolescents.

Contemporary art continues to expand its definition, blurring the boundaries between functional objects and fine art. This practice-based research explores the potential of recycled materials in visual art creation, using a tricycle as the primary medium. Using a mixed-media approach, primarily utilizing recycled metal and plate, along with recycled components such as drills and old water pumps, this project aims to transform the tricycle from a mobility object into a work of fine art. This concept intentionally blurs functional aesthetics, emphasizing freedom of expression and uniqueness of form, and reflecting a dialogue between the past and the present through recycled materials. Through a case study of the work "The Bully," this paper explores how a writer's personal trauma can be sublimated into a powerful artistic expression, forming a visual narrative of power, intimidation, and artistic revenge. This research also adopts an Artistic Research methodology to examine the creative process holistically.

In the modern era, law enforcement faces increasingly complex challenges driven by socio-economic inequality, rapid urbanization, advancements in information technology, and shifting societal values. One significant consequence is the rise in violent crimes committed collectively (mobbing), which remains concerning issue in Indonesia, including Bantul, DIY. This research adopts a legal and empirical approach, examining causal factors and challenges faced by the Bantul Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit in handling mob violence cases. These acts are regulated under Article 170 of the KUHP, characterized by their open (openlijk) and collective (met vereenigde krachten) nature. Factors influencing mob violence include environmental conditions, personal revenge, the influence of social media, and educational background. Obstacles in the investigation include difficulties in identifying perpetrators, collecting sufficient evidence, and addressing the psychological state of both victims and witnesses. Statistical data highlights this ongoing issue: in 2022, there were 84 reported cases with 64 resolved; in 2023, 58 cases were reported with 42 resolved; in 2024, 53 cases were recorded with 41 resolved. From January to May 2025 alone, 21 reports were filed, with only 15 resolved. Although the number of reports has declined, the persistence of these cases demands more serious and coordinated responses from all stakeholders.

This research explores the phenomenon of carok as a form of traditional violence that persists in Madurese society, particularly in Sampang Regency. Carok refers to a duel involving sharp weapons, usually carried out by men to defend their honor and dignity, which they believe has been tarnished. This study aims to identify the factors that cause carok from a criminological perspective and to analyze the efforts that have been made to address and prevent such incidents. The research employs an empirical legal method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with local police officers, sub-district officials, village heads, and traditional leaders in Sampang District, as well as through documentation and field observations. The findings reveal that the primary causes of carok include issues related to personal honor—especially concerning a man’s wife—personal disputes, revenge, and social environments that legitimize violence as a way of resolving conflict. From a criminological standpoint, carok can be explained through social conflict theory and the concept of crime of passion. Efforts to prevent carok have included both preventive measures, such as legal education, and repressive actions by law enforcement authorities. However, these efforts have proven to be only partially effective due to the deeply rooted cultural values that continue to support carok as a traditional form of justice. Therefore, a more intensive cultural approach involving community leaders is necessary to promote peaceful conflict resolution and reduce the incidence of violence.

Sociologically, the judge sees the impact of the defendant's actions on society and the environment. From a philosophical perspective, punishment is seen not as revenge, but an effort to educate the defendant not to repeat his actions. Finally, the judge sentenced him to 1 year and 4 months in prison and a fine of Rp25,000,000, subsidiary to 1 month in prison if the fine is not paid. The suggestion is that the government, law enforcement and stakeholders are expected to increase education to the community, especially around national parks/protected forests, not to trade in protected animals. This is important to prevent similar crimes and maintain the existence of protected animals in their habitat.

This research analyzes the figurative meanings in the lyrics of "Penyangkalan" by For Revenge, an Indonesian rock band, which reflects the emotional experiences of individuals trapped in toxic relationships. Previous studies indicate that figurative language in music can enhance understanding of trauma and psychological defense mechanisms. Yet, there remains a gap in literature examining the relationship between song lyrics and emotional experiences. This study aims to identify and analyze the use of figurative language in "Penyangkalan" lyrics and how these elements convey emotional messages related to toxic relationships. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with text analysis, the study examines the song lyrics through theme identification, pattern recognition, and meaning analysis, validated through triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that the lyrics employ various language styles, including metaphors, personification, and repetition, to portray the complexity of emotions and trauma in toxic relationships, ultimately serving as a mirror for emotional experiences while providing insights into broader psychological impacts in a social context.
