Background: Adolescence is often characterized as a period of puberty. Early menarche is associated with increased mortality and morbidity risks in later life among girls who experience menarche at an early age. Menarche is the first menstrual event in girls, marked by the shedding of the uterine lining and vaginal bleeding. The tendency to consume unhealthy foods, particularly fast food, as well as sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs), may have adverse effects on health and potentially influence the timing of menarche. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between healthy food selection, sugar-sweetened beverage consumption, and the incidence of early menarche. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 female students. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The results showed that healthy food selection was significantly associated with the incidence of early menarche (p = 0.005) with a moderate correlation strength (ρ = 0.449). Similarly, sugar-sweetened beverage consumption was significantly associated with the incidence of menarche (p = 0.000) and demonstrated a very strong correlation (ρ = 0.841). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between healthy food selection and sugar-sweetened beverage consumption with the incidence of menarche. Sugar-sweetened beverage consumption showed a stronger relationship with menarche incidence compared to healthy food selection.

A common health problem, especially in developing countries, is anemia. This is common among adolescent girls due to their lack of knowledge about anemia. This puts them at risk of developing anemia, particularly because menstruation is a contributing factor. Providing health education is expected to change behaviors toward a healthy lifestyle and contribute to preventing anemia among adolescent girls. This community service activity was held on May 26, 2026, at SMK Bhakti Indonesia Medika, and was attended by female students of childbearing age. The methods used included lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and sharing sessions. Pretests and posttests were used as evaluation materials to measure the increase in students' knowledge. The average pretest score was 7, while the average posttest score was 12, indicating a 5 point increase in knowledge about anemia among adolescent girls. The students demonstrated interest and enthusiasm during this activity. The results and conclusions of the e-booklet-based education program proved to be an effective alternative medium for increasing students' knowledge about anemia prevention. It is hoped that similar education can be implemented sustainably to improve the quality of healthy life in adolescent girls.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the ways in which faith is experienced, particularly in the lives of adolescents. From the perspectives of digital religion and mediatization of religion, digital space is no longer merely a medium, but has become a cultural arena that actively shapes religious practices and meanings. The study aims to analyze these dynamics, especially within the context of Generation Alpha, by examining the opportunities and challenges that emerge in the lived experience of faith in the digital age. The findings indicate that digital environments offer creative, participatory, and contextual opportunities for evangelization, enabling young people to engage actively in constructing their religious experiences. However, this dynamic is inherently ambivalent, as it also risks reducing the meaning of faith to symbolic, instant, and less sacramentally grounded experiences, detached from the communal life of the Church. Furthermore, the formation of religious identity in digital spaces tends to be fluid and performative, potentially leading to superficial relationships and fragmented identities. Therefore, technologically mediated religious experience should be understood as a bridge, rather than a substitute, for authentic faith encounters. The Church is thus called to adopt adaptive and reflective pastoral approaches, positioning media as a means of fostering communio without obscuring the essence of faith. An integrative approach through the synergy of Church, family, and educational institutions is essential to balance digital literacy and spiritual depth, ensuring that adolescent faith continues to grow reflectively and remains rooted in real-life experience.

Adolescents are considered a vulnerable group to nutritional problems because they experience rapid physical growth accompanied by lifestyle changes and unhealthy eating habits. The increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity among teenagers has become a major public health concern that requires serious attention. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between peer influence, the frequency of eating out, and fast-food consumption habits with the incidence of overweight among students at SMAN 1 Surabaya. The research applied a quantitative approach using an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional method. A total of 81 students participated in the study and were selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, SQ-FFQ forms, and anthropometric measurements, then analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. The findings revealed significant associations between peer influence, eating out frequency, and fast-food consumption habits with the occurrence of overweight among adolescents. Students who more frequently consumed meals outside the home and regularly ate fast food showed a greater tendency to experience overweight and obesity. These results indicate that social environments and modern dietary patterns contribute to the increasing prevalence of overweight among adolescents. Therefore, nutrition education and healthy lifestyle promotion should be strengthened through the involvement of schools, families, and peer groups.

Bullying among adolescents is an aggressive behavior carried out intentionally, repeatedly, and involving an imbalance of power between the perpetrator and the victim. This phenomenon is an important issue because it can affect adolescents’ psychological well-being, social relationships, and academic achievement in both the short and long term. This study uses a literature review method by collecting and analyzing recent national and international studies regarding the causes, forms, and impacts of bullying. The findings indicate that bullying is influenced by internal factors, such as low empathy, poor self-control, negative self-concept, and the desire for social recognition. In addition, external factors also contribute, including parenting styles, peer influence, unfavorable school climate, and the development of social media that increases the risk of cyberbullying. The impacts of bullying are experienced not only by victims, who may suffer from low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal, but also by perpetrators, who are at risk of developing persistent aggressive behavior and reduced empathy. Therefore, cooperation among families, schools, and communities is needed to prevent and address bullying effectively.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the TikTok application on changes in the lifestyles of teenage girls in the digital age. TikTok, as one of the most popular social media platforms among the younger generation, plays an important role in shaping the way they think, behave, and interact socially. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the challenges faced in maintaining a positive lifestyle, as well as efforts to minimize its negative impacts. The results of the study show that TikTok has a dual impact: positively, this platform facilitates self-expression, creativity, and the development of interests; however, negatively, excessive use can trigger consumptive behavior, decreased self-confidence, and deviations from social and cultural values. Factors such as beauty trends, imitation of foreign cultures, and social pressure in the virtual world also influence the lifestyles of adolescent girls. To reduce these negative impacts, it is necessary to improve digital literacy, parental supervision, and education on social media ethics in schools. With a wise approach, TikTok can be used as a positive tool in building the character, creativity, and self-confidence of adolescent girls in the digital age.

This study aims to analyze the impact of bullying on adolescents’ mental health through a literature review. The method used is a literature review, which involves the collection and analysis of various relevant scientific articles published in the last five years.  Data were obtained from journals and related scientific works, then systematically analyzed to identify patterns of association between bullying and adolescents’ mental health. The results of the review indicate that the majority of studies reveal a negative impact of bullying on mental health, such as the emergence of anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and difficulties in social interaction. However, some studies found that this relationship was not statistically significant, suggesting the role of other factors, such as social support, family circumstances, and an individual’s ability to cope with stress. In addition to affecting victims, bullying also impacts perpetrators and bystanders, making it a complex phenomenon. Therefore, comprehensive prevention and intervention efforts are needed through collaboration between schools, families, and the community.

Anemia remains a significant nutritional problem among adolescent girls due to increased iron requirements during growth and menstruation. Iron (Fe) tablet supplementation is commonly used for prevention, but low compliance often limits its effectiveness. Moringa oleifera leaf tea offers a potential local food–based alternative intervention. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Moringa oleifera leaf tea and iron tablets in increasing hemoglobin levels among anemic adolescent girls. A quasi-experimental two-group pretest–posttest design was employed in December 2025 at two junior high schools in Gorontalo City. The sample consisted of 18 adolescent girls with mild to moderate anemia, divided equally into a Moringa leaf tea group and an iron tablet group. The tea group consumed Moringa leaf tea twice daily for 14 days, while the tablet group consumed one iron tablet per week for two weeks. Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after the intervention using a digital hemoglobin analyzer. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Mann–Whitney test showed that both interventions significantly increased hemoglobin levels. However, the increase was greater in the Moringa group (ΔHb 1.4–3.2 g/dL; p = 0.008) compared to the iron tablet group (ΔHb 0.5–0.8 g/dL; p = 0.007). A significant difference between groups (p < 0.001) indicates that Moringa oleifera leaf tea is more effective as an alternative intervention.

Early marriage is a social and legal issue that still frequently occurs in Indonesia and has significant impacts on health, education, and socio-economic aspects. Although the minimum age for marriage has been regulated under Undang-Undang Nomor 16 Tahun 2019 tentang Perkawinan, the practice of early marriage remains prevalent due to low legal awareness, as well as economic, cultural, and social environmental factors. This community service activity aims to increase adolescents’ understanding and legal awareness regarding the impacts and prevention of early marriage. The method used is legal counseling with an educative and participatory approach targeting adolescents aged 15–18 years. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of legal regulations, the negative impacts of early marriage, and the importance of delaying marriage age. Furthermore, there is a positive change in participants’ attitudes, with a greater focus on education and future planning. Therefore, legal counseling proves to be an effective preventive effort in reducing the rate of early marriage among adolescents.

Dysmenorrhea remains a common health problem among adolescent girls and may interfere with their daily activities. This condition is not only associated with hormonal factors but is also influenced by dietary intake patterns and body fat distribution. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 207 adolescent girls selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using several instruments, including a Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) to assess magnesium intake, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR/RLPP) measurements using a measuring tape, and menstrual pain intensity assessed using a pain scale. The relationships between variables were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that magnesium intake demonstrated a significant inverse relationship with pain intensity, indicating that higher magnesium intake was associated with lower menstrual pain levels. In addition, WHR was also significantly associated with dysmenorrhea among adolescent girls. Overall, it can be concluded that magnesium intake and WHR are related to the occurrence of dysmenorrhea.
