This study aims to analyze the profitability and feasibility of sheep farming using intensive and semi-intensive rearing sistems in Suka Raya Village, Pancur Batu Sub-district. The research employed a survey method with purposive sampling, involving 16 farmers (8 intensive and 8 semi-intensive), each rearing more than 15 sheep and operating for at least 3 years. Data were collected through questionnaire interviews and field observations, then analyzed descriptively to calculate production costs, revenue, income, R/C ratio, and Break Even Point (BEP). Results showed that the average total production cost for the intensive sistem was Rp 52,429,313, higher than the semi-intensive sistem at Rp 39,664,375. The average revenue for the intensive sistem was Rp 69,150,000, while the semi-intensive sistem was Rp 63,712,500. The average income for intensive farmers was Rp 16,720,688, compared to Rp 24,048,125 for semi-intensive farmers. The average R/C ratio for the intensive sistem was 1 (near break-even), while the semi-intensive sistem was 2 (more efficient and profitable). BEP analysis indicated higher sales for the intensive sistem (Rp 844,022/sheep/period) compared to the semi-intensive sistem (Rp 691,052/sheep/period), with a larger production BEP for the intensive sistem (44 sheep) than the semi-intensive sistem (33 sheep). The semi-intensive sistem is recommended for farmers with limited capital and small to medium-scale operations due to lower costs and higher profit margins, while the intensive sistem is more suitable for large-scale operations with adequate capital, feed management, and health care.

The normal flora of chickens refers to the microbial communities that naturally inhabit the gastrointestinal tract and body surfaces of chickens, playing a crucial role in health, digestion, and immunity. This community consists of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Bacillus, which assist in feed fermentation, vitamin synthesis, and inhibition of pathogenic growth. Additionally, the normal flora may include potential pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., and Campylobacter, which can cause diseases if microbial balance is disrupted. The diversity and balance of the microbiota are influenced by various abiotic factors, including feed quality, access to clean water, ambient temperature, humidity, and environmental hygiene. Biotic factors, such as microbial interactions, rearing systems, and contact with other animals, also play a significant role in determining microbial composition. Several studies have shown that the use of feed additives, such as probiotics and phytogenics, can enhance populations of beneficial bacteria while suppressing pathogenic bacteria. Extensive rearing systems, which provide chickens with more space and exposure to natural environments, tend to increase microbiota diversity compared to semi-intensive systems with more restricted conditions. Understanding these factors is essential for developing effective health management strategies and optimizing safe and sustainable poultry production.

The farmer's chicken supply chain is a complex system that involves various stages starting from selecting chicken seeds, rearing, feeding, health management, to distribution of the final product to the market. Distribution Channels are closely related to the Supply Chain process, both of which are important in a business, both large and small businesses. The aim of this research is to determine the Broiler Chicken Supply Chain at Kemiri Village Broiler Farms, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency. The research method used is observation, interviews and documentation. This broiler farm is under contract with PT. Bintang Tama to supply feed, vitamin medicine, chicken seeds, and also chicken brokers/collectors. Chicken seeds come from PT.Bintang Tama Sentosa after which the chickens are bred for 28 days to 35 days according to the contract with the broker/collector, in 1 harvest/livestock from 3000 seedlings to harvest, the estimated death is 200 deaths, this process cannot be separated from the control carried out by the livestock manager. Chicken farming here is managed well, starting with providing different feeds. Meat chicken seeds are fed with the types of feed, namely pre starter, starter, and finisher, this feed is given at 3 different/not the same age periods for the chickens in 1 harvest. This study aims to analyze the growth performance of catfish (Pangasius sp.) cultivated in a tarpaulin pond system. Patin fish farming is one of the leading fisheries subsectors in Indonesia due to its high market demand and high nutritional content. The tarpaulin pond system was chosen because it offers efficiency in water quality management and disease risk reduction. This study was conducted in Gunungsitoli in December 2024, using an experimental method that included measuring fish length and weight during the rearing period. The results showed that water quality, including temperature (26-28°C), pH (6.5-7.5), and dissolved oxygen level (5 mg/L), played an important role in determining the fish survival rate, which reached 90%. Feeding strategies with a combination of artificial and natural feeds (silkworms, Artemia) have been shown to significantly improve fish growth. The main challenges in this aquaculture include water quality fluctuations, fry adaptation, and disease management, which can be overcome with aeration technology, probiotics, and natural immunostimulants. With the right innovations, the tarpaulin pond system proves to be an efficient and sustainable farming method in supporting catfish productivity.

Study was to emit various strategies to develop buffalo cattle in a semi-intensive rearing system at BPTU HPT Siborongborong. Primary data, collected through observation, focus group discussion (FGD), and secondary data, collected through relevant reports and literature. Development potential, challenges and opportunities were identified using desirability evaluation, descriptive analysis and SWOT. The results show that the semi-intensive system implemented has improved animal productivity, with adult buffaloes averaging 500 kilograms in weight and 0.7 kilograms in daily growth. The system also offers significant economic benefits, with an average net profit of IDR 800,000 for each head each month. However, a lack of protected human resources and seasonal forage shortages remain constraints. Feed diversification, farmer training and analysing the use of advanced technology are the plans made based on SWOT. The Siborongborong semi-intensive system has a great opportunity to become an example of effective and sustainable buffalo management in Indonesia.

Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) or also known as Giant Freshwater Prawn is a type of crustacean that has the largest size compared to other freshwater prawns. Giant prawns are a freshwater fisheries commodity that has great potential to be developed because it has a high selling value. This Field Work Practice (PKL) activity was carried out at the Brackish Water Cultivation Installation (IBAP) in Probolinggo City, East Java. The results of Field Work Practices (PKL) regarding giant prawn nursery techniques start from preparing nursery ponds, preparing water for rearing media, stocking juveniles, managing water tanks for rearing media, water quality management, feed management, controlling pests and diseases, as well as harvesting and packaging. Water quality measurements include DO with values obtained at 5.1-5.6 mg/L, pH 7.1-8.7, temperature reaching 24-28°C, and salinity ranging from 0-5 ppt. The feed given is Artemia salina, corn bran mixed with flakes in a ratio of 3:1, and commercial feed is in the form of pellets with a frequency of administration twice a day, namely in the morning and evening.

Increasing duck productivity needs to be done to produce superior and productive livestock, namely implementing intensive duck cultivation, where in an intensive maintenance system, one of the things that must be considered is a healthy and representative cage. This activity aims to sensitize the community on aspects of management and management of duck livestock rearing in a healthier and environmentally friendly type of cage. Empowerment is carried out in the form of awareness through counseling and practice of Hygienic Cage Development Implementation. The results obtained physically in the form of the construction of a healthy and more representative pilot cage for the maintenance of laying ducks. The success of Community Service is also seen from the awareness of the community who want to adopt a more hygienic technique of raising laying ducks through healthy cage management no longer under the house.

This water quality is very important to ensure a healthy shrimp life period. Water quality for this activity is influenced by several water quality parameters including, temperatur, Ph, salinity and alkalinity parameters. The aim of this research on water quality management is to find out how water quality management affects the survival rate in rearing vaname shrimp larvae (Litopenaeus vannamei) at PT.Benur Top De Heus Askra. The data analysis method in this research uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that water quality management at PT.Benur Top De Heus Askra increase the survival rate of vaname shrimp, the survival rate of vaname shrimp at PT.Benur Top De Heus Askra above 80%, this is achieved by maintaining water quality management.

Understanding and knowledge about the application of management functions needs to be studied to facilitate the success of seeding activities. This research was carried out for 6 months located at PT. Top De Heus Askra Kendari fry. The aim of this research is to find out how the production process flows in the application of management functions in vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannameii) hatchery activities at PT. Top De Heus Askra fry. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The data sources used come from primary data and secondary data with the research methods used namely the listening method and skill method, while the techniques used are recording and note-taking techniques, and the analysis tool uses PESTEL analysis. The research results show that the production process flow is interrelated with the management function in vannamei shrimp hatchery activities so that goals can be achieved. At PT. Benur Top De Heus Askra's planning function includes preparation of suggestions and maintenance infrastructure as well as installation and management of the aeration system and the organizing function consists of dividing employee duties and responsibilities, directing, namely carrying out the duties and responsibilities of each employee, and supervision, namely evaluating each activity. The hatchery production process flow activities start from managing the aeration system, preparing brood rearing tanks, receiving broodstock, feeding, spawning broodstock, hatching eggs, preparing larval rearing tanks, stocking naupli, managing water quality, feeding and harvesting.

Grouper fish (Epinephelus sp.) is one of the popular marine fish species in the market in Indonesia and abroad in Southeast Asia, this fish has high economic value, good taste. Currently, the development of grouper aquaculture has been growing, so the seeds must be available continuously to meet the demand for seeds, therefore the foundation of interspecies crosses between groupers that have a high heterosis effect in growth traits, disease resistance and environmental resistance. This research activity was carried out at the Brackish Water Aquaculture Center located in Situbondo, East Java and was carried out from June 19, 2023 to August 19, 2023. The working method used in the Field Work Practice is descriptive method with data collection including primary and secondary. The technique of grouper hatchery conducted at the Brackish Water Aquaculture Fisheries Center stages include tub preparation, broodstock rearing, hybridization, hatching and egg stocking, larval development, feeding, water quality management, growth sampling and grading, pests and diseases, and harvesting and marketing. The results of the observed parameters are HR 73.25%, SR 15.98%, FR 74.16%. Water quality management carried out in grouper hatcheries is water reduction and water changes according to larval age, siphon once a week and water quality tests.

Blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) is one type of crustacean that has great potential to be cultivated. Crab seed production activities are carried out to support the availability of crab seeds so as to reduce fishing activities in nature. Data collection during observation using the survey method, namely by making observations in the field. Seed production activities were carried out since container preparation, preparation of rearing media water, broodstock selection, broodstock rearing, egg hatching, larval rearing, feed management, water quality management, pest and disease management and harvesting. Egg fecundity of 750,000 eggs, egg fertilization rate of 83.60%, egg hatching rate of 76% and larval survival rate of 36.55% were obtained.
