The puerperium is a critical phase for postpartum mothers that requires special attention to prevent complications. However, awareness of the importance of self-care during this period remains limited, particularly in rural areas such as the working area of Puskesmas Kembang in Jepara. This community service initiative aimed to empower postpartum mothers by enhancing their knowledge and skills in self-care and physical recovery. The approach included interactive education using video media, health talks, group discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and the involvement of family members as key supporters. A total of 20 postpartum mothers and 10 family companions participated in the program. Evaluation through pre- and post-tests revealed significant improvements in knowledge across various aspects of postpartum care, including perineal hygiene, balanced nutrition, early detection of danger signs, and the role of family support. This program proved effective and has the potential to be replicated in other rural settings with similar conditions.

Mother's milk (ASI) has an important role in increasing the baby's immune system and baby's weight. Breast milk production that is not strong enough causes the baby's needs to not be fulfilled and the failure of exclusive breastfeeding. Based on a survey conducted by the research and development agency in the field of Health, it was found that 46% of the inability to breastfeed occurred due to lack of breast care, 25% due to the frequency of breastfeeding less than 8x/day, 14% due to newborns (LBW), 10% premature, and 5% due to acute or chronic disease. The decrease in breast milk production during the puerperium can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which play a very important role in the smooth production of breast milk. Marmet massage and oxytocin massage are safe ways to stimulate the breasts to produce more milk.

Maternal mortality is one of the unresolved health problems in the world. Obstetric complications directly in maternal mortality (pregnancy complications, childbirth, and the puerperium). This study aims to analyze the relationship between the determinants of maternal mortality due to obstetric complications. This type of research is an observational analytic study with a case-control design. In this study, there were 48 case samples and 144 control samples with a ratio of 1:3. The data obtained in the form of patient medical record data. Data analysised by univariate, bivariate and multivariate. The results showed that the most common cause of maternal death was preeclampsia/eclampsia. Risk factors that have a significant relationship with maternal mortality due to obstetric complications are anemia status (OR: 2.111; CI: 1.053-4.233; p: 0.035), history of maternal disease (OR: 2.514; CI: 1.260-5.015; p: 0.009) and HR (OR: 2.121; CI: 1.062-4.237; p: 0,033). In the multivariate results, the dominant risk factor was a history of maternal disease followed by anemia status and HR. The tendency of mothers who have a history of disease will increase the risk of maternal death compared to mothers who do not have a history of the disease.

The puerperium is an important period, as the risk of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality increases during this period. Hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide and most occur before 24 hours postpartum. Therefore, the birth attendant must ensure that the uterus contracts properly so that bleeding does not occur. The postpartum period is influenced by many factors, one of which is socio-cultural. Indonesia is a country consisting of various tribes and cultures that have their health traditions. Not all existing traditions have a bad effect on health but some have a positive impact on health. Efforts to assist and therapy to shape the coping skills of postpartum women are complementary therapy. Complementary therapy is a therapy that is used as a companion in conventional therapeutic efforts that a person has done. This type of research is descriptive by applying a case study approach. The implementation of this research was carried out at the Pratama Medical Center Clinic on Mrs. F by providing complementary health education education for mothers in the postpartum period.

The puerperium is a period that will be passed by the mother after the delivery period, which starts after the birth of the baby and placenta, namely after the end of stage IV in labor and ends up to 6 weeks (42 days) which is marked by the cessation of bleeding. The puerperium is a period that is very vulnerable to infection for postpartum mothers if the treatment is not appropriate. Many postpartum mothers do not know how to maintain their hygiene, especially in the genital area. Mothers just clean it without caring about good and correct vulva hygiene, so that wound healing becomes slow (> 6 days). This type of research is descriptive by applying a case study approach. The implementation of this research was carried out at the Pratama Medical Center Clinic for Mrs. N by providing care for the implementation of genital cleansing and perineal wound care.

The success of maternal and child health can be seen from the indicators of maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR). One of the causes of maternal mortality is bleeding that occurs due to anemia during pregnancy. Anemia conditions can be prevented by antenatal care (ANC) checks, and can help make labor run physiologically. Objective To provide comprehensive midwifery care to the patient, family, community or closest friends in order to get appropriate care. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. In the first visit pregnancy care found the incidence of Mild Anemia, at the second visit found the incidence of Mild Preeclampsia. In the care of childbirth, there were cases of premature rupture of membranes and chepalopelvic disporpotion so that delivery was carried out by Sectio Caesarea. And in the care of newborns, postpartum and family planning there are no problems and the condition of the mother and baby is normal. Based on the comprehensive care provided to Mrs. K, there were no gaps in the care of pregnancy, puerperium, newborn, and family planning, but in the care of childbirth there were some gaps between theory and practice.

Colostrum is also a thick viscous fluid with a yellowish color that is yellower compared to mature milk. Colostrum is the first fluid secreted by the breast glands, containing tissue debris and residual material found in the alveoli and ducts of the breast glands before and after the puerperium. The IMD approach currently recommended is the breast crawl method (crawling looking for the breast) after the baby The baby is immediately placed in the mother's stomach and left to crawl to find the mother's nipple herself and finally sucks it without help. Many post-natal mothers do not give breast milk or colostrum to their babies. This is due to many factors. One of them is ignorance, making mothers neglect the importance of giving breast milk to babies. Apart from that, most mothers don't understand how colostrum is very beneficial for babies. Research to determine the factors associated with giving colostrum to post partum mothers is very necessary, so that future efforts can be made to ensure that all newborn babies are given colostrum. This study aims to analyze the factors of giving colostrum to post partum mothers at the Kabanjahe District Health Center. Karo. The type of research used in this research is analytical with a cross sectional design. There were 29 research respondents. By collecting secondary and primary data.
