The increasingly tight competition in the textile and garment industry has led to the optimal management of capital structure and microfinance to increase the value of the company. This study aims to analyze the influence of microfinance and capital structure on the value of the company with profitability as an intervening variable. The method used is a quantitative method with secondary data obtained from the financial reports of textile and garment companies registered in the Indonesian Financial Services Authority for the period 2020–2024. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equivalence Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of the study indicate that microfinance has a positive and significant effect on profitability and firm value. Meanwhile, capital structure has a positive but insignificant effect on profitability and a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Profitability is proven to have a positive and significant effect on firm value, but is unable to mediate the influence of microfinance and capital structure on firm value. Thus, the findings of this study confirm that profitability fails to be an integrating variable.

The size of the company as a moderator in defining the correlation between capital structure, profit, and firm value is the focus of this study. Adopting a quantitative associative approach, this research focuses on the non-cyclical consumer sector registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2023. Of the 125 companies, 73 were purposively selected to create the research sample, yielding 292 observations after excluding entities with incomplete data and those with special monitoring status. The authors gathered secondary data from audited yearly financial reports through the IDX portal and corporate websites. The analysis used quasi-moderation techniques by combining independent variables, moderation, and interaction in a single regression model, processed through EViews 13. The research results show that capital structure has a significant positive impact on firm value, while profitability has no significant impact. Firm size has been shown to affect the relationship that exists between capital structure and firm value, but it does not moderate the association between profitability and firm value. These findings confirm that leverage’s effectiveness in increasing firm value is independent of company size and that profitability is not a primary determinant in this context. This research provides empirical evidence to advance capital structure theory and to inform executives’ strategic financial decisions and investors’ evaluations of corporate outlooks.

Proceeding of the International Conference on Economics, Accounting, and Taxation 2024 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the impact of ownership structure and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the profitability and firm value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Utilizing the latest data from annual reports published between 2021 and 2023, this research employs multiple regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that (1) ownership structure has a positive and significant effect on the firm's profitability, indicating that diversified ownership can enhance financial performance; (2) corporate social responsibility positively and significantly influences profitability, suggesting that companies engaged in CSR initiatives tend to be more profitable; (3) ownership structure does not have a significant impact on firm value, indicating that other factors may be more dominant in market valuation; (4) corporate social responsibility positively and significantly affects firm value, implying that investment in CSR can enhance positive investor perceptions; and (5) specifically, corporate social responsibility has a positive and significant impact on the firm value in the manufacturing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. These findings emphasize the importance of sound ownership strategies and a commitment to social responsibility as key factors in enhancing both profitability and firm value.

In addition, profitability is proven to be an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between capital structure and firm value, but does not strengthen the relationship between firm size and firm value.
