Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect in manufacturing industries due to the high risk of workplace accidents caused by heavy machinery, chemical substances, and intensive production activities. Companies usually provide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as safety guidelines; however, SOPs are often delivered in long textual formats that are less engaging, making workers reluctant to read or difficult to understand quickly. This study aims to design an infographic-based SOP media as an effective visual communication tool to improve workers’ understanding of safety procedures. The research applies a qualitative method with a design approach through workplace observation, interviews with HSE personnel, literature review, and design validation using questionnaires. The results produce infographic media in the form of posters and signage presenting PPE usage procedures, hazard warnings, and evacuation steps using safety color codes, icons, and readable typography. The conclusion indicates that infographic SOP media is more effective than text-based SOP because it improves readability, comprehension, and workers’ memory of safety procedures.

Law Number 11 of 2006 on the Governance of Aceh embodies the principle of lex specialis due to its territorial scope, while Law Number 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining also contains a lex specialis character as it specifically regulates the mining sector. This situation raises a legal question regarding how the principles of lex specialis derogat legi generali, lex superior derogat legi inferiori, and lex posterior derogat legi priori should be interpreted and applied by the Government within the framework of Aceh as a Special Autonomous Region. This study aims to conduct an in-depth legal analysis using a progressive law approach to examine whether the principles of lex posterior or lex superior may override the principle of lex specialis as applied in Aceh’s special autonomy regime. The research employs normative legal methods with qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that the principle of lex specialis derogat legi generali as stipulated in the Law on the Governance of Aceh must take precedence due to its specific territorial applicability and special autonomous status. In resolving such normative conflicts, a clear legal framework is required, accompanied by the renewal of legal theories and principles to ensure legal certainty, prevent regulatory overlap, and promote harmony among statutory regulations.

Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the leading causes of disability among the elderly population. This degenerative joint disease is characterized by progressive damage to the articular cartilage and structural alterations of the knee joint, resulting in pain, reduced mobility, and diminished quality of life. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to promote early detection of knee OA through simple radiological screening as a preventive strategy to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disability. The activity was conducted at Asisi Church, South Jakarta, involving 87 participants aged 54–87 years (mean 70.77 ± 7.32 years). Radiological examination was performed using standard anteroposterior knee X-rays, and results were classified according to the Kellgren–Lawrence grading system. Findings revealed that 98.9% of participants exhibited radiological signs of OA, predominantly grade II (60.9%), followed by grade III (21.8%), grade I (11.5%), and grade IV (4.6%), while only 1.1% showed normal results. Female participants (74.7%) predominated across all OA grades, indicating hormonal and biomechanical influences on disease progression. The mean age increased with OA severity, supporting the degenerative theory that aging leads to decreased chondrocyte function and cartilage elasticity. In addition to screening, participants received education on weight management, muscle strengthening exercises, and injury prevention. The results demonstrate that simple radiological screening is an effective, practical, and cost-efficient community-based approach for early detection of knee OA. Integrating such preventive strategies within primary care systems could significantly reduce the burden of disability among the elderly population.

The educational transformation driven by Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 requires teachers’ digital pedagogical competence. Preliminary observations at SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Selatan, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, revealed a skills gap: conventional practices dominate while digital platforms remain underutilized. This community engagement program sought to bridge the gap through intensive training on Canva for visual learning media and Quizizz for gamified assessment. Conducted in August 2025 with 10 teachers across subjects, the program employed a participatory, four-stage procedure: preparation; socialization and pretest; training and coaching; and evaluation and posttest. Data were collected via observation, questionnaires, and knowledge tests, and analyzed descriptively and comparatively. Results indicate a marked improvement in teachers’ digital competence: the average score increased from 45 (pretest) to 85 (posttest), an 88.9% gain. By indicator, improvements reached 112.5% for understanding Canva features, 95.5% for digital learning media creation, and 64% for using Quizizz. Traditional games are an important part of cultural heritage rich in educational, social, and moral values. However, technological developments in the modern era have led children in Merangin Regency to abandon traditional games. They spend more time with gadgets, causing a decline in social interaction and awareness of local culture. Among various types of traditional games, congklak has become one of the least played. This situation encouraged designers to create an educational and engaging medium for children. As a solution, an Illustrated Book of the Traditional Game Congklak of Merangin Regency was designed as both a learning medium and an effort to preserve local culture. The illustrated book was chosen because it can convey messages visually and verbally in an appealing way, making it easier for readers to understand the story and the values contained within it. The design process used the 4D method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with 5W+1H analysis to meet design needs. In addition to the main book, supporting media such as posters, x-banners, t-shirts, tumblers, tote bags, bookmarks, and e-books were also developed. The design feasibility test obtained a score of 90%, categorized as very feasible, covering aspects of storyline, illustration, layout, and language. The content feasibility test achieved a score of 100%, also categorized as very feasible, including cultural, cognitive, social, and character education values. This book is declared highly feasible and effective as a learning medium as well as a means of preserving the local culture of Merangin Regency.

The design of the 3:30 Kopi website poster was carried out as an effort to present an effective and modern promotional medium to support information needs and introduce the café’s digital platform to the wider community. In line with the development of the digital era, local SMEs such as 3:30 Kopi are required to remain competitive by utilizing visual media that is both communicative and appealing. This poster functions not only as an information tool but also as a branding strategy to strengthen the café’s identity in the eyes of consumers, particularly in the Ciledug area and its surroundings. The visual concept of the poster was designed with careful consideration of both aesthetics and function. The use of brown and cream tones symbolizes the warm and natural character of coffee, while also creating a friendly and elegant impression. Typography was chosen with a simple yet bold style to ensure information is easy to understand. The main elements, featuring a mockup of the website displayed on both laptop and mobile devices, emphasize the flexibility and responsiveness of the platform, which can be accessed anytime and anywhere. In addition, the inclusion of a QR code provides a modern solution that facilitates quick and practical interaction between the audience and the website. Cultural-inspired ornaments derived from 3:30 Kopi’s signature menu further reinforce its visual identity while adding aesthetic value. Through this poster design, 3:30 Kopi is expected to increase brand awareness, attract new visitors, and strengthen its image as a café that not only offers coffee but also provides a productive social space suited to the needs of modern society.

This study aims to analyze passengers' understanding of prohibited items at Terminal 2 of Juanda International Airport and evaluate the effectiveness of information delivery strategies implemented to support aviation safety and security. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that most passengers, particularly elderly individuals, still do not have a clear understanding of the difference between items allowed in the cabin and those that must be placed in checked baggage. Information regarding prohibited items is only discovered when passengers reach the security check area (PSCP), which is considered too late, causing panic and discomfort among passengers. The main factor contributing to the low level of understanding is the unstrategic delivery of information and the lack of engaging communication media. Although information about prohibited items is available through posters and announcements, these methods do not effectively attract passengers' attention. Passengers often overlook the information placed in less visible or strategic locations. This indicates that the current information media have not been effective in providing significant impact on passengers' understanding. This study recommends several steps to improve passenger understanding. The placement of more effective information media, such as eye-catching educational banners and 3D video displays at the departure entrance area, is expected to attract more attention from passengers. Additionally, the use of digital platforms, such as airport apps or social media, could be an effective way to deliver information to passengers before they arrive at the airport. With these strategies, passengers can better prepare and avoid potential mistakes during security checks, thus supporting the smoothness and safety of their flights.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting the growth and stability of the national economy (Endra et al., 2024), particularly in the ever-expanding culinary sector. However, MSMEs often face challenges in creating visually appealing and professional promotional elements. One example is BentoDay, a food business in West Jakarta that still relies on simple promotions through social media without optimal content packaging. This activity aims to improve the digital promotional capacity of MSMEs through a training and mentoring program focused on creating logos and product catalogs using Canva. Canva is a digital-based visual design tool that is easy to use, even for beginners, to create content such as posters, banners, and social media promotional materials (Akbar et al., n.d.). This training was conducted through a series of activities, starting with initial observation, direct training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation of participants' designs. The results showed that participants were able to independently produce promotional materials, such as logos and product catalogs, with more attractive and consistent designs. In addition to improving design skills, this training also had a positive impact on MSMEs' digital marketing strategies. Good visual design has been shown to increase consumer appeal and product sales. Thus, mastering digital skills is crucial for strengthening brand identity and expanding market reach (Andari, Sari, & Hidayat, 2025). The use of Canva has proven effective in supporting the digital promotional transformation of MSMEs to become more competitive in the digital era.

Social campaign posters are one of the visual communication media that has an important role in conveying public messages, shaping perceptions, and encouraging changes in social behavior in society. With visual power, posters can express messages directly, effectively, and emotionally to the audience. This study aims to examine how key visual elements—color, typography, imagery, and layout—affect the emotional response and audience engagement to social campaign messages. A qualitative approach was used by collecting data through visual observation of a number of selected social campaign posters, design analysis, and literature review from relevant literature. The results of the analysis show that each visual element has a significant contribution to the power of the message. Colors, for example, are able to evoke emotional resonance by influencing the mood of the audience, such as the color red that conveys urgency or the color green that represents expectations and the environment. Imagery or illustrations provide the power of imagination and help the audience connect the message with social reality. Proper typography improves readability, emphasizes the main message, and establishes the desired tone of communication. Meanwhile, a well-planned layout creates a visual flow that makes it easier for the audience to understand the message in order. The harmonious interplay between colors, typography, imagery, and layout has been proven to strengthen visual appeal, evoke empathy, and motivate audiences to participate in social campaigns.
