Submandibular Abscess is an accumulation of pus in the neck space resulting from the spread of infection, most commonly originating from dental infection. This condition requires surgical incision and drainage along with comprehensive nursing care to prevent serious complications. This study used a descriptive method in the form of a case study approach through the nursing process, aimed at describing nursing care for patients with Pre and Post Op Submandibular Abscess. Nursing diagnoses that emerged in Ny. T consisted of five diagnoses: Pre-op: Acute Pain related to physiological injuring agent and Anxiety related to situational crisis. Post-op: Acute Pain related to physical injuring agent, Risk of Infection evidenced by invasive procedures, and Knowledge Deficit related to lack of information exposure. Interventions provided included Pain Management, Relaxation Therapy, Infection Prevention, and Health Education. After nursing implementation for four days (February 12-15, 2026), out of the five diagnoses, two were fully resolved: anxiety and knowledge deficit, while three others were partially resolved due to time constraints, requiring continuous follow-up of nursing care.

In response to the evolving landscape of public healthcare services, hospitals are expected not only to maintain operational efficiency but also to adapt to the shifting needs and expectations of patients as healthcare consumers. The presence of non-BPJS patients in regional public hospitals plays a strategic role not only contributing to revenue diversification but also reflecting service quality, institutional competitiveness, and shaping public perception. The declining trend in outpatient visits by general patients at RSUD Balaraja over the past three years highlights the need to understand the factors influencing consumer behavior in determining revisit intentions. This study examines the effect of co-creation and hospital image on the revisit intention of outpatient general patients at RSUD Balaraja, with patient experience as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative explanatory design involving 278 outpatient general patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that patient experience plays a significant mediating role in shaping revisit intention among general outpatients at RSUD Balaraja. These findings confirm that patient experience serves as a central factor in post-service evaluation processes, which ultimately drive patients’ intention to return. Therefore, hospitals need to enhance patient involvement in service processes (co-creation), improve public perception of institutional image (hospital image), and develop patient-centered service systems as a key strategy to increase revisit intention among general outpatients.

Postoperative pain is a prevalent condition encountered by patients after surgical interventions and may negatively influence physical recovery as well as psychological well-being when inadequately managed. Conventional pain management strategies that primarily depend on pharmacological agents may lead to undesirable side effects, thereby emphasizing the importance of complementary non-pharmacological approaches. One intervention increasingly applied in nursing care is guided imagery. This review aimed to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of guided imagery in alleviating pain intensity among postoperative patients. A scoping review methodology was employed, with article identification guided by the PICO framework across national and international academic databases. Eligible studies included full-text research articles published within the past five years, written in either Indonesian or English, and specifically examining the use of guided imagery in postoperative settings. A total of ten studies met the inclusion criteria and were subjected to in-depth analysis. The results consistently demonstrated a significant reduction in pain intensity following the implementation of guided imagery across various surgical procedures, including cesarean delivery, appendectomy, fracture surgery, cholelithiasis, and abdominal operations. The intervention, delivered for 10–20 minutes per session, effectively reduced pain levels from moderate to severe to mild, with statistically significant outcomes (p < 0.05). Moreover, guided imagery was found to enhance patient relaxation, comfort, and psychological stability. These findings indicate that guided imagery represents a safe and effective non-pharmacological nursing intervention that can be integrated into evidence-based postoperative pain management.

The surgery often causes anxiety, which has an impact on physical and psychological conditions of preoperative patients. The data from WHO shows that 50% patients all over the world experienced anxiety, where 5-25% patients are between 5 and 20 years old, and 50% patients are 55 years old. Pre-operational anxiety reaches 534 million patients. Many factors affect anxiety in patients, including family support. This study aims to acknowledge the correlation between family support and anxiety of post-surgery patients in Meuraxa Regional General Hospital, Banda Aceh. This study employs an analytical correlational method with a cross-sectional approach by involving 51 patients selected using an accidental sampling technique. A family support questionnaire is adopted from Nurwulan, with a Cronbach's alpha 0.856. The questionnaire of anxiety using the APAIS scale of Cronbach's alpha 0.825. Univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results indicate that among 51 respondents, the level of anxiety is in a medium state, as 26 respondents (51.0%), family support is in the high category, 47 respondents (92.2%), with a P-value 0.026 (P-value < 0.05). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between family support and preoperative anxiety at Meuraxa General Hospital Banda Aceh. Families are expected to continuously provide emotional, informational, instrumental, and appraisal support so that patients feel calmer, are able to reduce excessive anxiety, and are better prepared to undergo surgery.

When problems such as antepartum hemorrhage, fetal distress, atypical fetal presentation, and gestational hypertension occur, a cesarean section can save the lives of both mother and baby. A cesarean section (CS) is a surgical technique in which the uterus and abdominal wall are opened to deliver the fetus. In many countries, cesarean sections are the most common surgical procedure, and over the past 30 years, their use has gradually increased. Intrauterine fetal death is the death of a fetus weighing 500 grams or more in the womb at 20 weeks of gestation or later. The partial or complete separation of a normally implanted placenta after 22 weeks before birth is known as placental abruption. he purpose of this paper is to provide nursing care to Mrs. P with a Caesarean section indicating intra uterine fetal death (IUFD) due to placental abruption in the Nusa Indah room of dr. Soeselo Regional General Hospital, Tegal Regency, according to nursing standards. The method used is descriptive with a case study approach. The data collection techniques in this scientific paper are in the form of interviews, observations, documentation studies and literature studies. From the case review, the main complaint was pain in the operated area, pain increased when moving, pain like being squeezed with a pain scale of 5, pain that comes and goes. The patient appeared to be grimacing in pain and restless, the patient always held the area that had been operated on, the results of the vital signs examination obtained: BP: 139/100 mmHg, pulse: 103 x / minute, S: 36.5oC, RR: 20 x / minute, there was a bandage on the lower abdomen along 15 cm with a horizontal line, the patient did not know and was confused about the birth control used after the CS. The nursing problems identified were acute pain, risk of infection, and knowledge deficit. Interventions were developed based on the theory in the SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI, as well as the client's condition, and were implementable

Congenital abnormalities are abnormalities in the growth of fetal organ structures from birth that can be caused by genetic or non-genetic factors. This abnormality is often an indication for a cesarean section, which is an operation to deliver a baby. This Final Nursing Scientific Paper aims to analyze nursing care for post-cesarean section patients with indications of congenital abnormalities and the application of evidence-based practice of effleurage massage therapy to overcome acute post-operative pain. The method used is a descriptive method with the application of effleurage massage therapy to the nursing problem of acute pain in patient Mrs. I, a 37-year-old woman who experienced pain in the wound after a cesarean section. The results of the assessment showed that the patient was in a compos mentis state and complained of pain that felt like being cut in the lower abdominal area with a pain scale of 6 on a scale of 0-10. The pain was intermittent. The diagnosis that emerged was acute pain related to the cesarean section surgical procedure. To overcome this problem, nursing actions were carried out in the form of effleurage massage therapy for 3x24 hours. After the procedure, results showed a significant reduction in the patient's pain level. The patient reported reduced pain after the therapy. These results suggest that effleurage massage therapy can be effective in reducing acute pain in post-cesarean section patients with congenital abnormalities. This therapy offers benefits as a non-pharmacological approach to managing post-operative pain. Implementing this therapy can be an important part of nursing care, helping to improve patient comfort and accelerate post-operative recovery. Furthermore, effleurage massage therapy also has a positive impact on increasing relaxation and reducing patient anxiety.

Mobilization is a basic human need required by individuals to carry out daily activities in the form of joint movement, posture and gait in order to meet activity needs and maintain health. The World Health Organization (WHO) says that births by caesarean section are around 10-16% of all births in developing countries, in the last 30 years the incidence of caesarean sections has increased very rapidly, for many reasons but some also don't have the right reasons, just because the patient wants the operation or the doctor wants an easy way, in Australia around 16% to 20% of the reason for the high number of caesareans in the United States is because most obstetricians. The aim of the research was to analyze the relationship between early mobilization post cesarean section and the surgical wound healing process in the postpartum room at Kartika Pulomas Hospital. The type of research used is qualitative analytic with a cross sectional approach design. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The number of samples used was 61 people. There is a relationship between early mobilization post cesarean section and the surgical wound healing process in the postpartum room at Kartika Pulomas Hospital. The paired sample t-test showed a value of p = 0.002, meaning p<0.05. Recommendations for hospitals need to have a policy for early mobilization of patients after caesarean section. Early mobilization accelerates wound healing and shortens the period of hospital treatment, so that it is a promotion for the hospital, namely: establishing independent hospitals as the main choice with quality services.
