Telepharmacy is a digital-based pharmaceutical service innovation aimed at improving access to healthcare services and enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical care, particularly in areas with limited healthcare resources. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of telepharmacy services at Sehat Plus Pharmacy based on the six healthcare quality dimensions established by the World Health Organization (WHO), namely safety, effectiveness, timeliness, efficiency, equity, and patient-centeredness, and to analyze their association with respondent characteristics. A quantitative descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study involved 35 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis and Spearman correlation tests with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results indicated that the overall implementation of telepharmacy services was categorized as very good (88.8%), with the safety dimension achieving the highest evaluation score among all quality dimensions. Most respondents were female and aged between 21 and 25 years. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between age and perceptions of telepharmacy implementation (p = 0.004; r = -0.471), indicating a moderate negative correlation. In contrast, gender, educational level, and occupation showed no significant association with service implementation (p > 0.05). It can be concluded that telepharmacy services at Sehat Plus Pharmacy have met WHO healthcare quality standards and provide positive user experiences, while age remains an important factor influencing service perception and acceptance.

The management of medicines and Medical Consumables (MCs) plays a crucial role in improving the quality of pharmaceutical services in hospitals. Common problems include stock imbalances, such as shortages and overstocking, which negatively affect service efficiency, increase operational costs, and raise the risk of product expiration. These issues are often caused by inadequate planning that is not based on consumption data, as well as limited knowledge of pharmacy personnel in applying appropriate inventory control methods. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of pharmacy staff in managing inventory using fast moving and slow moving methods based on real hospital data. The implementation method consisted of education, training, and hands-on mentoring conducted in several stages. The activity began with the analysis of medicine and medical consumables usage data from January to December 2025 at Labuang Baji Regional General Hospital, followed by training on pharmaceutical logistics management, and continued with practical exercises on classification and inventory control. Evaluation was carried out through discussions, case studies, and observation of participants’ ability to apply the methods. The results showed that 50.7% of medicines and 52.4% of medical consumables were categorized as fast moving, while the remaining items were classified as slow moving. After the intervention, there was a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of inventory classification, stock turnover analysis, and data-based planning. Participants were also able to identify items at risk of stock-outs and overstocking, enabling more appropriate control measures. This activity had a positive impact on the efficiency of pharmaceutical inventory management, reduced the risk of stock-outs and overstocking, and supported the improvement of healthcare service quality. Therefore, the fast moving and slow moving methods can be considered effective and applicable approaches for data-driven pharmaceutical inventory management in hospital settings

Drug stock-outs are an indicator of pharmaceutical management failure that directly affects patient safety and the quality of hospital services. Gatoel Hospital Mojokerto experienced an increase in the percentage of drug debt from 3.14% in January to 6.20% in July 2025, with 1,607 patients affected. This study aims to identify the factors causing drug stock-outs and formulate preventive strategies through the optimization of the Minimum-Maximum Stock Level (MMSL) system based on the Hospital Information System. A mixed-method approach was used, combining secondary data analysis (January–July 2025) and in-depth interviews. Fishbone analysis was applied to identify root causes, USG analysis to determine priorities, and SWOT analysis to formulate intervention strategies. Priority drug classification was carried out using the ABC-VEN method. The intervention involved implementing an MMSL pilot project for 150 drug items under Pareto category A. The analysis identified six dimensions of stock-out causes: man, materials, methods, machines, measurement, and environment. The highest priority issue was drug demand forecasting based on historical data (USG score: 125). SWOT analysis placed the organization in quadrant II, recommending a Weakness-Opportunities (WO) strategy. MMSL implementation was initiated through the development of SOPs and the entry of 150 priority drug items into the system. Drug stock-outs are caused by multifactorial issues that require systemic intervention. MMSL optimization has the potential to serve as a long-term solution, provided there is expanded coverage, strengthened human resource capacity, and comprehensive system integration.

This study aims to analyze the performance of the Hospital Management Information System SIMRS in the pharmacy unit of RSU Fitri Candra Wonogiri using the HOTFIT model approach. The HOT-FIT model is an evaluation framework that includes four main aspects, namely Human (system users), Organization (organizational support and policies), Technology (system and information quality), and Net Benefit (benefits obtained from system use). This study uses a quantitative method with Structural Equation Modeling data analysis techniques based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), which allows for simultaneous analysis of relationships between variables. Data were obtained from 61 respondents who are SIMRS users in the pharmacy department, through the distribution of Likert-based questionnaires. The results of the analysis show that the four independent variables Human, Organization, Technology, and Net Benefit have a positive and significant effect on SIMRS performance. The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.902 indicates that the model is able to explain 90.2 of the variability in system performance. Empirical findings in the field indicate that the implementation of SIMRS has had a tangible impact on improving work efficiency, accelerating the pharmaceutical service process, and supporting decision-making based on accurate and up-to-date data. Furthermore, active user involvement, managerial support, and the quality of the information technology system are crucial factors in supporting the system's successful implementation. This study confirms that the success of SIMRS depends not only on its technological sophistication but also on strong integration between human and organizational aspects and the resulting benefits. Therefore, a holistic approach to information system evaluation and development is crucial for improving the quality of healthcare services in hospitals.

Pharmacist professionalism is a key component in ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical services, encompassing not only compliance with technical and scientific standards but also a deep commitment to moral and ethical principles. In the Indonesian cultural context, the concept of "medicine as a trust" (obat sebagai amanah) reflects a profound sense of responsibility, where medicine is viewed not merely as a commodity, but as a mandate that must be preserved with integrity and accountability in health care practices. This article conceptually explores the relationship between pharmacist professionalism and the moral value of trust within the framework of the Nusantara constitutional theory. This theory emphasizes the integration of legal, cultural, and moral dimensions in shaping professional conduct in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-critical approach through literature review, this study investigates how trust functions as both a legal expectation and a cultural imperative in the practice of pharmacy. The findings highlight that trust must be internalized as a core value in pharmaceutical services—manifested through ethical decision-making, transparency in drug management, and a commitment to prioritizing patient welfare. Pharmacists are not only required to uphold professional standards, but also to carry out their duties as custodians of public trust. To realize this vision, the integration of the value of trust into pharmacy education, legal regulations, and clinical practice is essential. Educational institutions, professional organizations, and regulatory bodies must work collaboratively to instill this value as part of a pharmacist’s identity. In doing so, the profession can contribute more effectively to building a health care system that is just, culturally grounded, and centered on the well-being of the people.

Negligence in pharmaceutical services is a multifaceted issue that significantly impacts patient safety, the quality of healthcare delivery, and the professional reputation of pharmacists in Indonesia. Such negligence can occur at various stages of pharmaceutical services, including prescribing, dispensing, storage, and administration of medication to patients. The causes of negligence are diverse, encompassing excessive workload, inadequate understanding and application of professional ethical codes, ineffective communication between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, and suboptimal supervisory and audit systems. This study aims to analyze the ethical and professional implications of negligence in pharmaceutical services and to identify preventive efforts that can improve the quality of pharmaceutical services. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach, thoroughly reviewing scientific literature indexed in Sinta and other reputable academic sources to analyze the ethical and professional implications of negligence in pharmaceutical services. Findings reveal that negligence not only violates core professional ethical principles such as beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice but also exposes pharmacists to serious legal and disciplinary sanctions. Furthermore, negligence leads to long-term negative consequences, including diminished public trust in pharmaceutical services and the broader healthcare system, ultimately hindering national efforts to improve healthcare quality. Therefore, this study recommends continuous professional ethics training, strengthening of both internal and external supervisory mechanisms, and the innovative use of information technology to minimize negligence risks in pharmaceutical practice. DAGUSIBU is one of the efforts to improve public health that is organized through health service activities by pharmaceutical workers. Health services that can provide community pharmaceutical workers include providing information on the use and storage of pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices. The public needs to know the importance of drug management from when they get a prescription to when they throw it away if it is not needed. So that the impact of community errors cannot be prevented. The lack of public curiosity about this is very dangerous. They should not underestimate the procedures for drug management. Starting from when they first get a prescription from a doctor, to how to dispose of it if it can no longer be used. In fact, if we make a slight mistake in managing drugs, it will have fatal consequences for consumers of the drug. The results of the Dagusibu Drug Management counseling (Get, Use, Store, Throw Away) in Bingkat, Serdang Bedagai Regency can provide insight and education on drug management from when they get a prescription to when they throw it away if it is not needed. So that the impact of mistakes made by the Bingkat village community cannot be prevented. Participants can apply the knowledge they have gained in their family and community environments.
