This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of corporate zakat management in reducing economic inequality from the perspective of muamalah. The research employs a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach by examining various literature sources, empirical data, and regulations related to corporate zakat in Indonesia. The findings reveal that corporate zakat management achieves optimal effectiveness when zakat funds are distributed through a productive zakat scheme. This scheme is implemented through six main stages: preliminary surveys of beneficiaries, regular assistance, provision of business capital, business partner guidance, motivational training, and periodic evaluations of beneficiaries’ business development. However, practical implementation still faces several challenges. The allocation of funds for business capital among economically disadvantaged communities has only reached approximately 0.4%, while the majority of zakat funds, around 97.1%, are still utilized for consumptive assistance. This condition indicates that the economic empowerment function of zakat has not yet been fully optimized. Therefore, integrative solutions are required, including institutional strengthening through the establishment of Islamic microfinance units such as Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) internally, as well as stronger government regulations through tax deductible incentive policies externally to support the sustainable optimization of corporate zakat distribution.

This study describes Islamic public and social finance: the role and mechanisms of government oversight of economic activities from an Islamic perspective. The purpose of this study is to explain Islamic public and social finance: the role and mechanisms of government oversight of economic activities from an Islamic perspective. The research method is qualitative. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research finds that the government's role from an Islamic public and social finance perspective is not only as a regulator but also as an active supervisor, ensuring that economic activities are run in accordance with Sharia principles. Supervisory mechanisms are implemented through the institution of hisbah (Islamic tax), Sharia-based regulations, and a system of public financial accountability and transparency. Furthermore, Islamic social finance instruments such as zakat (alms), infaq (donations), sedekah (charity), and waqf (endowments) have been proven to play a role in equitable wealth distribution and reducing social inequality. This supervisory concept remains relevant in the modern economic context, including the digital sector and Sharia finance. The implications of this research suggest that the government needs to strengthen the implementation of Islamic-based supervision in the modern economic system by strengthening Sharia financial institutions, optimizing the management of Islamic social funds, and enhancing transparent and accountable regulations. Furthermore, adaptation of Islamic supervisory mechanisms is necessary to address the development of the digital economy. This research also implies the importance of increasing Sharia economic literacy among the public to support the creation of a more sustainable and equitable economic system.

This study focuses on the elements of gharar (uncertainty), tadlis (fraud), and breach of contract in examining multiple transactions of a single land object from the standpoint of Islamic economic law. The rising frequency of disagreements over land purchases and sales brought on by the same seller engaging in overlapping transactions, unclear ownership status, and a lack of transparency has prompted this research. This study aims to investigate the effects of these activities on Indonesian positive law and Islamic economic law. This case study employed an empirical legal approach and was carried out in Grogol Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation by the buyer, seller, and local authorities. The findings indicate that due to unclear land boundaries and ownership status, the transaction contained significant elements of gharar and tadlis because the seller concealed important information about the previous transaction. Furthermore, the seller's failure to fulfill obligations stipulated in the contract constitutes a breach of contract under positive law. This study demonstrates that these practices not only violate legal regulations but also contradict the principles of Islamic economic law such as justice, transparency, and good faith. According to this study, legal awareness, administrative accuracy, and institutional oversight are vital to prevent such issues in the future.

This study aims to analyze the influence of national income, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), on poverty levels in Indonesia from a sharia economic perspective. The research method used is quantitative with a simple linear regression approach, supported by a literature review to enrich the analysis from an Islamic perspective. The data used is annual secondary data from the 2010-2023 period sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results indicate that national income (GDP) has a negative and significant effect on poverty levels in Indonesia, meaning that every increase in GDP is followed by a decrease in the percentage of the poor. From a sharia economic perspective, national income growth must be accompanied by a fair distribution mechanism through zakat, infaq, sedekah, and waqf (ZISWAF) instruments so that its benefits can be felt by all levels of society, in line with the concepts of falah and maqashid sharia.

Business activities are essential for helping the economy of society function properly. When starting a business, people usually want to make money, but they are also supposed to follow good values, like being honest in their dealings. In real life, some businesses still do unfair things, like giving false information about products, changing prices unfairly, lowering the quality of goods, and using incorrect measurements when selling items. This research focuses on explaining what honesty means and how it should be used in business according to the principles of Islamic economics. The study uses a qualitative method called literature review, which involves looking at books, journal articles, and other sources that talk about Islamic business ethics. The results show that honesty is a key value in Islamic business because it helps build trust with customers, ensures fair deals, and creates positive relationships between sellers and buyers. The value of honesty in the business world can be demonstrated through transparancy of information about products, honesty in pricing, accuracy in measurement, and not hiding defects in the goods being sold. From an Islamic economics perpective, business activities should not only focus on material income, but also on the value of blessings, ethical responsibility, and mutual prosperity. Thus, the application of honesty in an important foundation for building fair, transparent bisuness practices that are in line with Islamic economic prinsiples.

Using an Islamic economic interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an and hadith, this study aims to examine the concept of production in depth from an Islamic economic perspective. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this research technique utilizes a literature review to examine Islamic economic literature and relevant interpretations, in addition to primary sources such as the Qur'an and hadith. The results show that the Qur'an and hadith provide a framework for production that integrates moral, social, and spiritual values into economic activities, utilizes natural resources optimally and sustainably, and produces halal goods and services. Along with material gain, Islamic manufacturing aims to promote social justice, individual well-being, and ecological harmony. Therefore, the concept of production from an Islamic economic perspective makes economic activity a form of worship and a tool for developing well-being that adheres to the principles of Islamic law.

Free trade is one of the central issues in the dynamics of the global economy, sparking debates about the extent to which the state should be involved in economic activities. Each economic system holds a different perspective on the relationship between market mechanisms and state intervention. This article aims to analyze the concept of free trade and the role of the state from the perspective of various economic systems, namely liberal, socialist, mixed, and Islamic economic systems. The research method employed is a literature review, examining relevant sources such as books, scholarly journals, and other academic references. The findings indicate that the liberal economic system tends to emphasize market freedom with minimal state involvement, whereas the socialist system positions the state as the main regulator in trade. The mixed economic system seeks to balance the roles of the market and the state, while Islamic economics permits free trade as long as it is conducted in accordance with the principles of ethics, justice, and social responsibility. This article is expected to contribute academically to a better understanding of the differing approaches of economic systems toward free trade and the role of the state in addressing global economic challenges.

This research aims to compare modern international trade theories from conventional and Islamic economic perspectives. The technique used is a literature review through the analysis of sources from journals, books, and related research. The findings of this research indicate that international trade theory in the conventional perspective prioritizes efficiency, specialization, and increased profits through free market mechanisms, such as the theory of absolute advantage, comparative advantage, the H-O factor proportion, and the theory of large-scale economies. However, this approach often overlooks moral aspects, distributional justice, and the risk of exploitation. On the other hand, the Islamic perspective views trade as a muamalah activity based on justice, trustworthiness (amanah), the prohibition of riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maisir (gambling), as well as the objectives of maqasid sharia (the objectives of Sharia). Both views recognize the importance of trade for economic growth but differ in their basic values and ethics. In today's era of globalization and digitalization, the importance of integrating Islamic values into international trade is increasingly understood. This aims to build a more just, sustainable, and inclusive trading system. This research emphasizes the need to apply Sharia principles in contemporary trade practices, including the application of Islamic financial instruments, the development of halal e-commerce platforms, and ethical oversight within global supply chains. In this way, it is hoped that international trade can provide broader benefits to all of humanity, in accordance with the principles of justice and welfare in Islam. The interconnectedness of both approaches in the digital context demonstrates the need to unite Islamic moral values with changes in today's global trade.

Social loans are an important tool for developing local economies, especially in remote areas such as rural areas. The Indonesian Village City Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSU) is one of the business entities that provides loan capital to its members. The purpose of this study is to determine the mechanism of social loan agreements in the Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) of the Indonesian Village City and to determine the perspective of Islamic Economic Law on loan agreements in the Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) of the Indonesian Village City. This research method uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews with the Management and members of the Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSU) of the Indonesian City Village. The results of the study show that first, the loan application procedure involves several steps such as becoming a member, filling out forms, completing documents and the approval stage. The maximum loan provision is 80% of the savings balance with a loan tenor of 12 months and 18 months. The payment system is made in installments through salary deductions and is subject to a 5% interest. For borrowing members who are late, there are no sanctions or fines but there is a time dispensation. Second, the loan application and management mechanism at the Multipurpose Cooperative has met sharia principles through transparent and structured governance, such as deductions from salary installments and a guarantee policy provided in the form of the amount of member savings balances. However, social loans at the Multipurpose Cooperative contain an element of benefit (profit) of 5%, which according to some scholars can be classified as usury because of the addition of value to the principal loan, even though the benefit is returned to members through the Business Result Remainder (SHU).

Over the past 20 years, developments in digital technology have led to the emergence of financial innovation in the form of cryptocurrencies, with Bitcoin being the main pioneer. Bitcoin is a decentralized, blockchain-based electronic payment system that is not controlled by a single financial institution. Although its presence facilitates quick and straightforward cross-border transactions, it also raises ethical and legal issues, especially when taking into account Islamic law, which strongly emphasizes justice, certainty, and the welfare of society. This paper aims to investigate the usage of Bitcoin in modern economic transactions from the standpoint of Islamic and international law. This study investigates Islamic legal sources, the views of Islamic scholars, fatwas (religious decrees), and international laws and regulations pertaining to cryptocurrency assets using a qualitative, normative-empirical methodology. The results show that, although opinions among scholars differ, the usage of Bitcoin is subject to ijtihadiyah (Islamic ijtihad) in Islamic law. Some reject it because of its great volatility and speculative potential, while others allow it as long as it provides advantages and does not include riba, gharar, or maysir (the risks associated with gambling). In terms of international law, Bitcoin is typically seen as a digital asset that has to be closely watched in order to preserve economic stability and deter financial crime. Therefore, balanced legislation is required to guarantee that the usage of Bitcoin is in line with the principles of sharia maqasid and global economic fairness.

The purpose of this study is to identify the concept of economic empowerment for Muslims in the Qur'an and to understand its role in life. The threat of poverty and powerlessness can undermine faith, morals, security stability, and create social dissatisfaction. Therefore, through verses in the Qur'an, the researcher will discuss the economic empowerment of Muslims from a Qur'anic perspective. The research method used is the maudlu'i interpretation of economics, which includes the following steps: first, collecting verses relevant to the economic issues to be analyzed, both based on keywords and the content of the verses in general and specifically. Second, interpreting these verses by following the sequence of verses in the Mushaf or based on the chronology of the revelation of the surahs. Third, the interpretation model applied is maudlu'i by linking them to the real conditions of the economy. In this study, researchers will examine data contained in the Qur'an, tafsir, hadith, as well as books and journals related to the meaning of economic empowerment of Muslims. The concept of economic empowerment of Muslims from the perspective of the Qur'an is to free individuals from injustice, empower human potential, and encourage individuals to care for others, towards happiness in this world and the hereafter. The role of economic empowerment of Muslims in life includes: contributing to eliminating the practice of usury, human trafficking, monopoly of wealth, and power that triggers poverty, hunger, and fear. In addition, it also motivates individual Muslims to be strong, resilient, persistent, and strive earnestly and not give up.

Digitalization has become a key factor driving global economic transformation, including the development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the opportunities, challenges, and strategies for advancing the Islamic economy in the digital era through a literature-based research method. Information was gathered by reviewing documents, articles, and relevant literature related to the digitalization of the Islamic economy, including analyses of Sharia-compliant fintech, halal e-commerce, and digital Islamic banking. The findings indicate that digitalization offers numerous opportunities to enhance service efficiency, expand access to Islamic financial services, strengthen the capacity of MSMEs, and accelerate the growth of the halal industry. However, the digital transformation process also presents several challenges, such as low levels of digital and Islamic financial literacy, potential data breaches, the spread of misinformation, regulatory inefficiencies, and legal uncertainties associated with emerging technologies such as Sharia-compliant blockchain. In addition, digital inequality and ethical issues must be addressed to ensure alignment with the principles of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah.This study highlights the importance of implementing a comprehensive Sharia-based development strategy through regulatory strengthening, education on digital ethics, enhanced supervisory functions, and collaboration between the government, academia, industry players, and society. With the right approach, digitalization can become a significant tool in building an Islamic economic ecosystem that is just, inclusive, and sustainable.

The development of modern business has given rise to various marketing models, one of which is Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). However, in practice, many parties misuse this system into a pyramid scheme, a business model that prioritizes profits from recruiting new members rather than from actual product sales. This phenomenon causes harm to society and raises moral as well as religious concerns in Islamic law. This study aims to analyze the recruitment strategies and compensation patterns used in pyramid schemes disguised as MLM, examine them from the perspective of Islamic economics, and provide a comparison with Multi-Level Marketing systems that operate in accordance with Islamic principles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach by reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant academic documents. The results indicate that the recruitment system and compensation pattern in pyramid schemes contain elements of gharar, tadlis, dharar, and zhulm, all of which contradict Islamic economic principles. Therefore, the public is advised to be more cautious in choosing MLM businesses, as such models are permissible in Islam only if they focus on selling lawful (halal) products, are conducted honestly and transparently, and provide fair benefits for all parties involved.
