Students of the Indonesian School of Jeddah (SIJ) are predominantly categorized as Third Culture Kids (TCK) who face sociocultural challenges and complex health determinants, including a high risk of dental caries and limited character monitoring outside the classroom. This transnational community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated educational model using audio-visual media through the “Happy Teeth, Bright Smile” campaign and self-monitoring through the “My Adventure Journal” in improving oral health literacy and students’ character behavior. The study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with mixed methods involving 155 elementary and junior high school students. Dental knowledge data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, while journal compliance was calculated descriptively using the Grand Mean method and triangulated with content analysis of parental feedback. The results showed that elementary students’ compliance with daily character missions increased by 28.31%, particularly in the discipline dimension. Among junior high school students, multimedia intervention significantly improved clinical preventive knowledge (p < 0.001), with mean scores increasing from 77.00 to 90.20. Parental feedback indicated improvements in self-regulation, responsibility, and self-confidence. The study concludes that optimizing the Tripartite Partnership among university students, schools, and parents is effective in strengthening psychosocial resilience and students’ basic health independence in a transnational environment.

Anxiety during the third trimester of pregnancy is a prevalent perinatal mental health issue that can adversely affect maternal well-being and preparedness for labor. Psychosocial factors, particularly partner support, are recognized as important in alleviating anxiety; however, empirical evidence at the primary healthcare level in Indonesia is still limited. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between partner support and anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women receiving care at the Momalia Community Health Centre. A quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The study involved 60 third-trimester pregnant women selected through total sampling. Partner support was assessed using a structured social support questionnaire, while maternal anxiety was measured using a standardized, valid, and reliable instrument. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistics, with the relationship between variables tested using the Chi-square test at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed a statistically significant association between partner support and maternal anxiety (p < 0.05). Women who reported higher levels of partner support tended to experience lower anxiety, whereas those with inadequate support showed higher levels of moderate to severe anxiety. In conclusion, partner support serves as a protective factor against anxiety during late pregnancy. Integrating husbands’ involvement into antenatal care programs is essential to enhance maternal mental health outcomes.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with a steadily increasing prevalence in Indonesia. This condition not only affects physical health but also requires patients to make significant lifestyle changes to maintain stable blood glucose levels. Efforts to adopt a healthy lifestyle such as regulating diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress are often met with various challenges. In this context, family support plays a crucial role in helping patients adapt and remain consistent in self-management. This study aims to describe the experiences of type 2 diabetes patients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the forms of family support they receive. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used, involving three participants undergoing outpatient treatment at RSUD Sultan Iskandar Muda Nagan Raya. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The findings show that patients face challenges in maintaining dietary control, consistent exercise, and emotional balance. However, family support such as reminding patients to take medication, providing healthy meals, and offering emotional motivation serves as a key factor that strengthens patients’ commitment to a healthy lifestyle. The study concludes that the success of diabetes management is highly influenced by active family involvement. Therefore, educational and health intervention programs should integrate families as essential partners in supporting patients with diabetes.

The purpose of this research is to formulate a model for the Strategy to Enhance Competitiveness and Sustainability of SMEs in Supporting Independence in East Java. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use 1) Data reduction, 2) Data display, 3) Data triangulation, 4) Data verification. The informant determination technique uses indepth interviews with key informants such as SME actors, relevant agency officials, representatives from East Java's SME Banks, and academics. The results of data analysis and literature review indicate that the Strategy to Enhance Competitiveness of SMEs in East Java focuses on the adoption of digital marketing (utilization of social media, marketplaces, and e-commerce), product and process innovation (development of unique and quality products, production efficiency), as well as strengthening partnerships and collaborations with various parties (government, financial institutions, large companies) to expand market access and resources. The strategy for enhancing the sustainability of MSMEs in East Java heavily relies on prudent financial management practices (cash flow management, access to affordable financing such as Prokesra and Dagulir), compliance with legal and certification requirements (PIRT, halal, BPOM), as well as the potential implementation of circular economy concepts for resource efficiency and waste reduction. The strategy supporting the independence of MSMEs in East Java focuses on a comprehensive empowerment program, including entrepreneurship training and intensive mentoring for capacity building, ease of access to capital, and facilitation of business matching and exhibitions/bazaars for network and market expansion. The active role of the government and supporting institutions is crucial in creating a conducive ecosystem. The relationship between competitiveness, sustainability, and independence of SMEs is synergistic and mutually reinforcing. Increasing competitiveness directly contributes to economic sustainability. Sustainability creates stability that allows SMEs to continue innovating and enhancing their competitiveness. Meanwhile, independence empowers SMEs to be proactive in achieving competitiveness and sustainability, with the ability to make strategic decisions and adapt to changes. Overall, SMEs in East Java have great potential to continue growing and contributing to the economy. However, sustained support through appropriate policies, relevant empowerment programs, and facilitation of access to essential resources will be key to realizing SMEs that are not only competitive and sustainable but also fully independent.

This study investigates the strategic strengthening of the rambak cracker industry as an instrument for local economic development in Penanggulan Village, Pegandon District, Kendal Regency. Rural agro-processing enterprises have increasingly been recognized as territorially embedded production units capable of generating value-added outputs and absorbing surplus labor within localized economic systems. Field-based empirical observations reveal that rambak production in the village operates through household-managed processing systems characterized by traditional production techniques, informal managerial practices, and limited digital marketing adoption despite contributing significantly to community income generation. Data obtained from expert respondents were analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process to identify strategic priority determinants influencing industrial competitiveness and sustainability. The results indicate that product innovation and quality improvement constitute the primary strategic priority, followed by digital marketing development and institutional partnership strengthening, while production capacity expansion remains comparatively less influential in enhancing market competitiveness. These findings suggest that adaptive innovation and digitally enabled commercialization pathways function as critical mechanisms for improving value-chain integration and expanding market accessibility among rural food-processing industries. Strengthening innovation ecosystems within the rambak sector may therefore contribute to employment creation, income diversification, and sustainable community-based economic transformation in rural production clusters.

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to address work-related stress experienced by partner institutions amid economic uncertainty and rapid digital transformation, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The main issues identified included role ambiguity, job insecurity, and increasing demands for competency adaptation, which contribute to psychological stress, emotional exhaustion, reduced well-being, and declining work effectiveness. To respond to these challenges, the implementation team organized educational activities in the form of seminars and interactive sharing sessions titled “Thriving at Work in the AI Era: The Dynamics of Work Stress.” The program aimed to enhance participants’ understanding, awareness, and skills in identifying sources of work stress and applying adaptive stress management strategies. A participatory education method was applied, beginning with a pre-test and concluding with a post-test to assess changes in participants’ knowledge. The results showed a notable improvement in understanding, as reflected by a decrease in incorrect responses from 27.2% to 10.8% and an increase in correct responses from 72.8% to 89.2%. The implementation process consisted of three stages: preparation (team coordination, partner needs analysis, material development, and technical preparation), implementation (delivery of materials and interactive discussions), and evaluation and reporting. The mandatory outputs of this program include a PKM report and the publication of an article in a community service journal. Additional outputs involve dissemination through mass media and the development of a booklet intended for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) registration.

This study aims to evaluate the Resource Development and Installation (RDI) technique to reduce symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in female victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence (which falls under the category of intimate partner violence/IPV) is a global public health problem that contributes significantly to women's mental health disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Recent systematic evidence shows a strong association between various forms of IPV and adverse mental health outcomes in women, with large variations in prevalence across contexts. Resource Development and Installation (RDI) is a psychological stabilization procedure within EMDR aimed at generating positive resources in individuals exposed to traumatic experiences. The research method used in this study was multiple baseline with a single case (single case research), namely research conducted on subjects with the aim of determining the magnitude of the effect of treatment given repeatedly over a certain period. This study involved three adult female participants who experienced trauma symptoms due to violence perpetrated by an intimate partner in a domestic context. The data analysis technique used in this study was visual inspection by comparing changes in trauma scores in respondents between the baseline and intervention phases. Trauma symptoms were measured using the Harvard Trauma Questionnaire (HTQ). There was a decrease in HTQ scores from an average of 2.9 (presence of PTSD symptoms) before the intervention to 2.1 (minimal). Resources Development and Installation were effective in reducing trauma symptoms in female victims of violence. This was evident in the decrease in trauma symptom scores between before and after the provision of Resources Development and Installation to female victims of violence.

A 37-year-old woman, G3P2A0, at 16 weeks of gestation, came to the community health center for her first antenatal check-up. The patient had no characteristic clinical symptoms, but the triple elimination screening results showed reactivity for HBsAg, with negative HIV and syphilis results. An ultrasound examination revealed a viable intrauterine fetus with normal findings. The patient had not received Hepatitis B immunization or vitamin supplements previously, and the patient's partner had not undergone Hepatitis B screening despite having a work-related risk factor. The patient was given iron and vitamin supplements and referred to the hospital for further evaluation. Comprehensive education was provided regarding modes of transmission, risks of maternal and fetal infection, prevention of vertical transmission, as well as the importance of Hepatitis B immunization and the administration of HBIG to the newborn within 12 hours after birth. This case emphasizes the importance of early antenatal screening, comprehensive education, psychosocial support, and collaboration between the patient, family, and healthcare providers to prevent vertical transmission of Hepatitis B. The education provided included essential preventive measures and infection control steps to protect both the mother and the baby. Proper management and follow-up monitoring are necessary to ensure the health of the mother and baby and prevent further complications.

Before entering marriage, a person will generally choose a partner who meets their criteria. Choosing a partner is not something to be done carelessly, as this decision has a significant impact on the journey of the household and the harmony of the relationship in the future. Factors influencing partner selection can be very diverse, ranging from personal values, social environment, to the influence of developments in the times and mass media. One popular cultural phenomenon that also influences is K-Pop. For some people, a deep interest in K-Pop idols or artists can form certain standards or criteria in choosing a life partner. This study aims to determine the influence of idol worship on partner selection preferences among early adult female K-Popers in West Sumatra. The study subjects were 120 people selected using a snowball sampling technique. The study used a quantitative method, with instruments in the form of an idol worship scale and a partner selection preference scale compiled by researchers based on the dimensions of idol worship by Cheung and Yue (2018) and aspects of partner selection preferences by Townsend and Roberts (1993). The results of a simple linear regression analysis indicate that, in general, idol worship has no significant effect on partner choice preferences (sig = 0.405 > 0.05). However, when examined by dimension, attachment (sig = 0.002 < 0.05) and idealization (sig = 0.001 < 0.05) significantly influence partner choice preferences. This finding indicates that emotional aspects and idealization of idols can shape the criteria or ideal image of a desired partner, although idol worship does not have a direct effect overall.

Exclusive breastfeeding is a key strategy to improve child health and nutrition, yet its practice in Indonesia remains suboptimal. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between husbands’ knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and mothers’ motivation to breastfeed in Ie Masen Kayee Adang Village, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 50 husbands whose wives were breastfeeding infants aged 0–12 months through questionnaires distributed directly and via Google Form. The instrument’s validity and reliability were tested and met the required standards. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most husbands had a high level of knowledge (68%), and most mothers demonstrated high motivation to breastfeed (64%). The Chi-Square analysis indicated a significant relationship between husbands’ knowledge and mothers’ motivation (p = 0.039). These findings suggest that involving husbands as active partners in health promotion and breastfeeding education programs can increase maternal motivation and improve exclusive breastfeeding practices. This study highlights the importance of family-centered interventions to strengthen breastfeeding support and enhance maternal and child health outcomes.

This study focuses on analyzing the factors influencing auditor switching in telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021–2024 period, by examining the variables of management turnover, audit committee, financial distress, auditor reputation, and audit fees. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach utilizing secondary data in the form of annual financial reports. The sample size was determined using a purposive sampling technique for 55 companies. Auditor switching served as the dependent variable, measured by a dummy variable, while the other five variables served as independent variables. The analysis results indicate that none of the independent variables significantly influenced auditor switching decisions. This suggests that auditor switching decisions in companies are more influenced by strategic factors, such as the company's need to obtain audit services that better align with its business vision and auditor competency, which is considered capable of maintaining the credibility of financial reports. These findings emphasize the importance of a continuous relationship between auditors and clients as part of efforts to maintain the quality, consistency, and independence of the resulting audit. The practical implication of this study is that companies need to prioritize professionalism, audit quality, and long-term partnerships with auditors, rather than solely considering internal factors such as management structure or financial pressure. From a regulatory perspective, this research provides important input for strengthening regulations and oversight regarding audit quality and auditor independence, rather than solely focusing on auditor switching frequency. Thus, this study expands the literature on auditor switching dynamics and confirms that audit success is determined more by the quality of relationships and competence than by internal technical factors alone.

Epistaxis or commonly called nosebleed is bleeding in the nasal vestibule, nasal cavity, or nasopharynx that is acute. Fainting is an emergency situation where someone experiences a life-threatening condition that requires immediate assistance. This usually occurs in school students who are performing ceremonies, or outdoor activities. The purpose of this community service is to improve first aid skills in epistaxis and syncope management with the DOFLET method in adolescents. The partners of this community service are 21 adolescents at SMK X. This service method uses the DOFLET method (demonstration and leaflet) by providing training to demonstrate/demonstrate how to handle using available tools directly to improve first aid skills in epistaxis and syncope management in adolescents at SMK X. Based on the results obtained, the results before being given first aid training for epistaxis and syncope management were mostly in the sufficient category and after being given training, most were in the good category. The results of the statistical analysis also showed the influence of the strategy for optimizing first aid for epistaxis and syncope management with the ability to provide first aid in adolescents. The strategy for optimizing first aid education for epistaxis and syncope is expected to help students understand how to provide first aid correctly, as well as increase students' insight into preventing epistaxis and syncope.
